Canadian gin is nothing to play with. It's got a high alcohol content and a lot of impurities, much like the typical canadian.

Jesus, I must have been drinking some of that Canadian gin when I typed that post.

I remember he was a hell of a player back in 2000. Whatever the hell happened to him? Arena ball? Canadian league?

No. 19 Nick Smith – Smith, the Group AA offensive player of the year in 2000 as a junior at Park-View Sterling, transferred to Centreville High School before signing with Wake Forest. It was reported that he was transferring to James Madison prior to the 2002 season. However, he did not enroll at JMU, Centreville coach Mike Skinner said Friday, and did not play in a college football game.

Nick Smith isn't playing in the CFL, but Akili Smith is (5 touchdowns in four years???)

Nick Smith is doing what everyone else is doing...working some deadend job and getting trashed on the weekends. After completely wasting what talent he had he tried to play semi-pro football here in the area but couldn't get out of his own way. He thought that the team should be run around him because he was "Nick Smith, didn't we know". And when he got benched for a BETTER QB he quit the team.

Such a waste of talent.

A semi-professional athlete is one who is paid to play and thus is not an amateur, but for whom sport is not a full-time occupation, generally because the level of pay is too low to make a reasonable living based solely upon that source, thus making the athlete not a full professional athlete.
