Conversation: Purpose of this conversation comes from an observation that community to community "Twining" projects as has been successfully demonstrated in Europe via their "Twining Project" protocol for collaboration between two cities or two towns cross border, does not really exist in America.

Community Twining has been active in Europe since World War II, with leadership from France and Germany particularly for common benefits, both in arts and science "bridge".

Good Example is the phenomonal success of the French Region called Alsace, France with mighty industrial strength of the French city of Stasbourg Metro Region, with a complimentary econmic and cultural development on the other side of border in Germany.

Historically, the link between Northern Virginia anchored with Fairfax, VA and Richmond, Va exists both in Arts and Science, with common interest in community vitality between Richmond and Fairfax as anchor to our respective Metro Regions.

Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia, after all had elected to sacrifice lives of more than 50,000 Confederate Solders to defend Richmond, VA in the year 1864 primarily against the Federal Troups of Army of The Potomac lead by the newly appointed Union General, Ulysis S. Grant who also sacrificed about the same number of soldiers in 1864 to push ahead with his determined march to Richmond, VA.

In the memory of that tragic time, and to avoid another return of an American Civil War in the United States in the 3rd Decade of 21st Century as has been prophesied by Patriotic Nurse at Appalachia

A "Trade Delegation with Arts and Science" Bridge anchored with Richmond and Fairax to Strasbourg, France makes a lot of sense, and perhaps a similar delegation from Strasbourg to Fairfax and Richmond also makes a lot of sense for commonn and complimentary interest development in arts and science.

From our end, we can possibly request support from Fairfax Ecomomic Development relationship that already exists for many years with a community located in the Paris Metro Area to help facilitate the pre-Fairfax Richmond Ambassador Delegation arts and scinece twin bridge.

But what is needed is a non-profit group based in Richmond, VA who might share our interest in such conversation with Strasbourg_Paris Metro in France as is mutually beneficial toward our aspiration for community of vitality Fairfax and Richmond.

After all, 2 promintent generals of our American Civil War had to sacrifice over 100,000 lives during the American Civil War I just five generations ago.

WHy not examine this option for arts and science bridge as a better option to the prophecy and thoughtful conversation that Patriotic Nurse at Appalachia have provided as an "inevidable" coming of a Second American Civil War.

For those who thinks who do not appreciate or value the prophecy of Patriotic Nurse, please feel free to change the channel and remove yourself from this discussion as something not worth your time or attention.

Follow Up Conversation:Community Vitality Boosters via Arts and Science Bridge

Fairfax County Does Not Have a "Sister Cities" relationship
directly with Athen. Los Angeles, CA does have such a relationship for many years. Fairfax County Economic Development Authority does have an office at LA working to connect LA Companies to consider opening presence in Fairfax County to create jobs and vitality.

Also, Greece more difficult than France right now with domestic economic issues that they are trying to address. But long term Greece is imporant for us via arts and science bridge.

Topic 02: But Paris, France is more opportunistic near term for "arts and science bridge" link via a Fairfax Richmond Ambassador protocol


Why ?

Because Fairfax County already has a Paris, France "Sister Cities" relationship now for many years, that can possibly be utlized if this of interest both to them and to us.

Update: Why Fairfax Richmond link to Paris "Sisterhood" Ambassador

Conversation: Richmond and Fairfax are linked in many ways beyond history through the arts and science bridge, education topics, arts, science and technology and university students and faculty.

Why ? it's very simple, Richmond is the nearest metro politican to Fairfax. Richmond is also the capital of Virginia which I expect that everyone who participate in Fairfax Undergrounds know.

Looking at history, biggest connection between Richmond and Northern Virginia is the nearly forgotten American Civil War (1861-1865), particularly the year 1864 when the Federal Army under General Grant crossed the Potomac in March of that year, with a mission to take Richmond by millitary force as necessary.

Robert E. Lee, the defending General of the Confederate Rebels, was called upon by the Confederate President Jefferson Davis at Richmond (then Capital of Confederacy) to defend Richmond against the Federals.

If you been to some of the national parks between Northern Virginia and Richmond, you have then seen with your own eyes, the rows of rows of cemetaries that still exist, over 100,000 soldiers from nearly all states of that time, represented in those cemetaries, brothers agaist brothers, and sometime sons against fathers, lay dead in the battlefields of Virgnia in 1864.

So, that's why now, after 5 generation, our generation has acquired the knowledge and wisdom of working for peace via people, and avoiding wars now and in future, the "Ambassador" program that mostly exist today called the "international sister cities" program (ours is a variation called "sisterhood" program with Paris and Fairfax) exist.

Final thought. Since among ambassadors we need both arts and business connections, particularly , science and technology side such as "life sciences" such as biotechology where the opportunities for "people" and "business" collaborations exist with a tech saavy community like Paris,
a link between Fairfax business community (endorsement from Fairfax Chamber of Commerce, the largest Chamber in Virginia) and endorsment from Metro Richmond Chamber of Commerce (the second largest Chamber in Virginia) makes a lot of sense.

Anyone who is a member or know a member of either the Fairfax Chamber or the Richmond Chamber is requested to help us make a "people to people" connection.

Can we do it as the next step forward as wisdom and knowledge guides us ?

College students and parents are most welcome to participate whether your interest in such things as music, arts, theater or in the science and technology fields, such as biotechnology, aerospace, or another Telecom/IT such as bioinformatics.

We want to respect the tech saavy Paris as we must respect the tech saavy and artistic people of Fairfax and Richmond "Twin" communities of Virginia.

Knowledge to action while engaging in thoughtful and helpful conversation ok ?
