My daughter was excited and ready to take her sol today, and they cancelled it
My daughter has been lying to me since we moved here back in September. she said school started at 7:20 but according to the email they can't start the SOL an hour late? Take it takes an hour to turn on the computers and what not. It will mean they could of started the exam at 8:20AM?

"Due to a power outage last night, we did not have power in the building until around 7:15 a.m this morning. Because of the outage we were unable to test this morning. Students who were scheduled to take a math SOL today will now take it Friday, May 30th.

Students who were schedule to take their math SOL on Friday will now take it on Monday June 2nd. Please let me know if you have any questions". I can be reached at Neking@fcps.edu.
Sincerely,

Nardos King

Don't worry, if your daughter is actually your own blood she is bound to fail.

My daughter attend 4 different schools since first grade. The Assistant principal, Principal, and her half her teachers are incompetent. My daughter was received good grades last year back in Wisconsin, but now she is at risk at failing Biology and Algebra. she failed her biology sol because her teacher has no idea on how to teach, and if you go on the website it says only 50% of the school passed the math sol last year. I am sure that won't change this year

Yes, any reason why they can't the test a little bit late? They don't even have afternoon testing today not sure why but they don't.

Why don't you call them up and ask? They might already be in their cars but you can try again tomorrow. The time is 2:11. PM.

My kids use the SOL's as a good time to catch up on some sleep. Finish in 10 minutes and take a nap while the others finished. They are always excited for SOL days, just like your daughter.

It seems to me it would have made more sense to move your test to the 2nd, rather than move both sets of students, if it really had to be rescheduled.

SOL's are not that big of a deal. If half the kids are flunking maybe they are just not that bright. Just sayin...
