Saturday is World Naked Gardening Day. Really, we're not kidding. And to mark the curious global holiday, Weekend America co-host Bill Radke will talk to Ojai, Calif., organic farmer and naked gardening enthusiast Jay North, who details the benefits and the risks of gardening unclothed. And before you ask: No, there's no photos of Bill or Jay weeding in the buff.

But was well aware of the national day. What could be more innocent?
I don't think the neighbors can see and if they see probably won't mind........

I remember an old movie where trying to get away from bad guys they slip into this nudist meeting in Sweeden. The guy up on the podium is saying,"What if tow armies meet and they had no clothes on. They wouldn't know who to shoot. There was peace." Sounds good to me.

It just shows what I've felt that those who have come to Fairfax are just more uptight then people in other parts of the country. Even when basically alone in my own yard. If I can't garden in the nude without getting tazered can I wear my Speedo swim atire without your condemnation? Shorts? Take my shirt off? Will I see you at the pool wearing two swim suits?

You are in Fairfax and not "in other parts of the country". If you feel
out of place because you cant garden in the nude here, then I would
suggest you move elsewhere. If you consider the number of
rapes and sexual assaults in this area, it would not be a wise
thing to do. Why make yourself a target?

There is very little to suggest that isolated and remote nude gardeners are a statistic either way as perpetrators or victims of crime. It was not a problem when the original inhabitants were here. As a life long resident I would like to return to a more simple and basic existence. I think if people were free to be nude, especially on hot days there would be few crimes. It is the erroticiation of humanity that contributes negatively to our crime rate.Europeans today have full frontal nudity on TV and fabric free beaches. I know most European counties have lower teen pregnancy rates and probably lower rapes possibly suggesting body awareness and acceptance is healthy and helps lower the crime rate.
