"U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield acknowledged during a House hearing Friday that COVID-19 data could be inflated because hospitals receive a monetary gain by reporting COVID-19 cases.
Republican Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer of Missouri questioned Redfield during a House Oversight and Reform subcommittee hearing on coronavirus containment. He asked about the “perverse incentive” for hospitals to classify deaths as being coronavirus related when the virus didn’t cause the death. "

now, eye do have the utmost respect for ER doctors who deal with gunshots, car crashes, burns, emergency surgery for folks who don't take care of themselves, broken bones etc
they are awesome and perform miracles!
but as far as curing or preventing disease....yacub's doctors and nurses are criminal murderers

It's been this way for years with lots of stuff. If you get reimbursed for one thing and not another, then your leadership will push you to classify what you do into those reimbursable things - because you are making money doing it. Lots of businesses and municipalities do this in many areas.
I think the Covid numbers are probably about right. You have a huge amount of people that die of other causes and get labeled Covid, then you have plenty of rural folks that never get tested or diagnosed and die of Covid and it's never considered by the podunk authorities.
Gaming the money is not the problem. The problem is the snowflake mentality of the (mostly libtard) public that continues to lose their fucking minds every hour of every day over this. Even if you give them 300,000 deaths from Covid, that means more than 2.2M people died THIS YEAR from other shit. Libtards cry and rant like Trump killed each of these 300,000 people with his bare hands. What about the other 2.2M? Who killed them? It's just like the nogs rioting over one criminal that gets ventilated by the cops for every thousand they kill themselves.
