Worst of all it was a boring game. RGIII provides no spark. He sees exactly 2 things 1. the primary route and 2. the dump pass. He cannot get rid of the ball worth a damn.
RGIII took zero risks with the ball - boring and a losing mentality. He wont throw unless its toward the ground or long on a deep pattern. That dump pass shit is crap. The receivers that dont run the primary or dump routes might as well just walk around cause they arent gonna touch the ball.
RGIII wasn't supposed to throw a Hail Mary. He was supposed to throw a quick out route to set up the Hail Mary. Instead, he danced around in the backfield, ran down the clock and then over threw an original out route receiver. He doesn't have the basic mechanics to be a good QB. He doesn't understand an NFL offense. Colt McCoy may not have RGIII's athleticism, but he is an experienced QB who understands offense and how to play the QB position.

The thing that was not rusty with RG was his lack of vision. I do believe he is the slowest QB in the NFL when it comes to reading coverage after the snap. Not that its easy. In the pros the QB has to see his primary and if covered his #2 and #3 checkdowns in 2 seconds. Sounds absurd but with the Washington O line thats pretty much it. We saw both Kirk and McCoy able to make those reads in that time. Kirk obviously has problems but he got rid of the ball.
You cannot win in this league if your QB cannot burn the blitz. Cant be done. Everyone is too quick and too smart. Another thing we saw is RG's legs. I believe the reason for his '12 success was conditioning. He could run sprint after sprint after sprint. He almost passed out after his 14 yard run at the end of the game. That and he no longer has the speed he used to. Now everyone can catch him.
Fact is the Redskins mortgaged their future on a Vince Young that fans and everyone in the locker room hates. RGIII doesn't know how to be a QB. His only "intangible" is his douchiness. He's like Alex Rodriquez of the NFL. You can't put your finger on why, but you just can't stand the guy.
Is it just me or does it seem like every time RG Ouch My Knee 3 gets tackled it looks like he will never get up again? Is he really as crippled as he appears to be?
