A man and woman arranged through a prominent Internet site to meet Sunday in Fairfax County, but it apparently did not go well, and the man was allegedly attacked with a high-heeled shoe, county police said.

They said a 21-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested on prostitution-related charges.

Police said they went to a hotel in the 3100 block of Fairview Park Drive in the Falls Church area of the county about 6:30 p.m. Sunday after a fight was reported.

They said they determined that a man had responded to an advertisement on Craigslist and arranged to meet a woman at the hotel. However, police said, an argument broke out in a room over what police described as "missing money."

The dispute became physical, a police statement said, and the woman "allegedly assaulted the man with her high-heeled shoe."

Police said Briseida J. Barr, 24, of Las Vegas, was charged with prostitution and simple assault. They said Berkan M. Kansu, 21, of Falls Church was charged with solicitation of prostitution.

They said he was issued a summons, released and then taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.

Neither could be reached last night.

On its Web site, Craigslist describes itself as "local classifieds and forums" in more than 500 cities, on which "just about anything" can be found. It says the overwhelming majority of users are trustworthy and well-intentioned.

All he had to do was drive down to the Cedar Lane shopping center in Vienna. The property is right on the Vienna/Fairfax County line and neither police department wants to deal with the trouble that goes on there.

They whores live in the apartments across the street and hang out in the center's shadows after the businesses close.

Nearly all are illegal, so it helps to know a little Spanish. They work cheap - but as Vince has attested, they work long and hard - so you can get quite a bit for your money - and probably some things you don't want too.

Bizarre. A 24 year old chick from Las Vegas, where prostitution is legal very nearby, comes to Fairfax County, where it's illegal to turn a trick, and gets locked up. With the plethora of strip bars and "chicken ranches" in the Vegas area she must be one ugly broad to have to travel here to make money.

It's not that bizarre, those dirty chicks are all over the country. They keep a "residential address" in Vegas so they can fly out there to dance at clubs and make 2 or 3 grand a weekend, whenever they can afford the plane ticket. And when they finally come back "home", they work as escorts. I bet any money that's what this idiot was doing. Either that, or some dummy flew her here to get laid for a few days, and then left her hanging.

I've never ever done anything like that, but I have talked with enough sleazy stripper chicks like that in Vegas to know how they operate for real.

Very sad, scary lives they live.

lol i work at that hotel and was here the night it happened. What happened was classic hooker double play. This douche comes into the hotel flashing 2-3 thousand dollars around at the bar, goes up to his room with this hooker - who by the way HE FLEW OUT HERE FROM LAS VEGAS!!! Anyways, they go into their room, and she asks for the money up front. From there, she pulled a classic hooker/hotel trick. She said that he did not pay her all of the money, and she demanded more, starting to cause noise, so there would be a complaint. Figuring that the john would be scared of getting introuble, he would just pay up.... but he didnt, he got pissed and started arguing back at her. She the FLIPPED THE FUCK OUT, and beat the fuck out of him, he left in an ambulance. The cops came, caused a scene, then left. It was a fun night to be working. Oh and some how, she came back to the hotel about 3-4 hours after she was arrested.... no idea how she got booked and released that fast. - maybe fairfax's finest got a little extra on the side to let her go.

So let me ask you this asshat. Looking at craigs list it seems there are many hookers who are working out of hotels in this area. Are hotel employees aware of this? Is it obvious when this is happening? Do staff just look the other way? Or do you call the cops when you are made aware of activity like this?

My guess is the hotels look the other way. If you have a bitch staying there for a week or two doing business out of her room, it's good income for the hotel. I would think most whores keep is quite so as not to draw attention so it's not worth calling the cops on them.

oh believe me, we look the other way. Especially our hotel. We specifically cater to business travelers, we get little to no familys visiting (which is why we can charge out the ass for rooms). So as far as it goes around here, we look the other way, our clients privacy comes first. If we started ratting out john's then im pretty sure our clients would feel their privacy was violated. Which is the same reason if the cops ask us if a specific guest is staying here, we can not tell them without a warrent.

I use to work out a hotel in rt 50 few yrs back. And let me tell you, I have seen my share of prostitution, drug dealing and all kinds of shady work. There was this Hispanic dude that would get a room, and you will see nothing but guys going in and out all night. He use to take care of us At the front desk, buying us Chinese,pizza or something. He never was loud, left the room all messy and would leave nice tip for the maids. Last I talked to him he was moving to California.

Yeah, the desk clerks know what is going on. I know several people who have worked at hotels. If you pay cash - they give the once over to see if you are trouble. Then at least the ones I know do there best to put them in sparingly populated area of the hotel and make the rounds every 1/2 hour or so to see if there are any dead bodies.

If they call the police, after the police question the suspects, they will not let the person back into the room. So anything left behind - you lose.

I go to the Pizza Boli @ Cedar Park sometimes for pizza, as $9 for a large pizza is one of the better deals in the area, and the pizza's pretty decent (Church St. Pizza isn't $6 better.)

I see a couple of 18-30 year old guys lounging around but haven't seen too many suspiciously attractive 18-30 year old women. Maybe I go too late.

lol we had another hooker "attack" here a few days ago (i still work here... yea i know i need a new job). There used to be a singles dance at the bar in that hotel and hooked up with some great women but the person quit the business just as I was starting to hook up.

Nope, just have spent enough time in Vegas clubs to know how it works. I'm too much of a prude to ever get involved in sex-for-money, but it's always a fun conversation if you know the scene. Get a clue. That hotel is packed during the week with business travelers that are doing business with the many companies located in the park. I also frequently see tour buses pulling in and out of there. That hotel has no issue filling their rooms.

Anyway, the game included Pittsburgh and I don't remember the other team. I believe it was Pittsburgh who had a player named "Fairhooker". I met this guy through a friend, and honestly, he has some seriously bizarre behavior.
