Bank Robber Caught

Bank Robbed in the Engleside Area

A branch of Chevy Chase Bank was robbed at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25. The suspect entered the bank, located at 8628 Richmond Highway, and passed a note demanding cash. He also spoke on a cellular telephone and implied that there was an accomplice outside of the bank with a gun. The suspect fled the bank before receiving any money. Nobody was injured during the robbery.

Detectives later arrested 52-year-old Theodore Russell Logan of 9188 Richmond Highway in Fort Belvoir. He was charged with one count of robbery and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
