Well, the maggots and faggots are all just as maggoty and faggoty as usual this morning. What a waste of time and space these silly shits are. Meanwhile, guess what — It’s a beautiful July morning out here in the ever stunning Sweet Spot. First one of those we’ve had in almost a year, but June treated us very well, and perhaps a few Hail, Caesars will help get us through the new month just as well. It was already 81 degrees outside when I got up this morning with about average humidity, hardly any breeze, and just marginal chances of any rain. It was still a little sticky out there as I hauled the trash can down to the road, and stickiness could get worse as we head into the low 90s before long. Good thing the HVAC guys were by early in the week to correct a minor electrical fault in the ductless mini that cools the sunroom. That’s a very important element in warm weather, so i’m glad to hear it purring away again now. No doctors or baseball for either of us today, so a nice lazy, hazy day of summer seems to be in store. All the Pazzo leftovers are gone now, so a decision on where to get more food will have to be made at some point.

So childishly desperate. Like most homes outside the Beltway, ours did not have central air when we bought it. The situation was quickly corrected. New central system installed augmented by ductless minis. Existing window units parceled out to sweltering coworkers.

^^^ No ductwork for HEAT, junior. There once was none for A/C either, but our various six-figure renovations have included installation of a full-scale central A/C system, as well as a separate ductless mini system that cools a beautiful sunroom with its many windows, southern exposures, and significant distance from the main unit. Makes a great partner to the recently modernized four-zone baseboard heating system. Climate comfort in all seasons and all corners of the house.
The various window units that we had relied on in our early Sweet Spot years were then packed up and distributed to friends and colleagues sweltering away in Arlington and the District. Good work by us.
