Posted by: Yahweh ()
Date: August 27, 2009 09:27AM

KFC just introduced the new Double Down sandwich. Its two fried chicken breasts instead of bread, with cheese and bacon in the middle.

Im picking up one at lunch!

I think it looks like a heart attack in a wrapper. It really looks unappealing to me, and I like KFC.

I dont know what your talking about, but Id eat it.

My favorite meal is a Monte Cristo, but I cant find it any where around here anymore. We bought a deep frier just so I could have one. My wife makes me one every month or two.

Fast food has really hit rock bottom. I see these Dairy Queens that offer value meal cheesburgers with ice cream, and I saw some pizza commercial that offers a large pizza with two chocolate brownies.

No wonder Americans are a bunch of fat asses. Never mind, sounded like Vince.

Blessed are the murderous.

Nobody focuses any more. Dominos offers subs (which are terrible); McDonalds offers fraps and coffees (which my wife hates); Wendys tries to offer Chicken wings (which are also awful). See the pattern here?

If my family orders all that, it equils about 2-3 meals for all of us.

I eat the worst food, but I cant eat much of anything.

LOL, I'm sure every Dominos is well stocked with freshly sliced, high quality cold cuts.

Isn't there a place that delivers a big portion of pasta served inside a pizza crust?

Who eats this shit?

That is so true. You should be really good at a couple of things, as opposed to being mediocre with splashes of awful at a bunch things.

How's this for a place to eat?: The old Capitol Plaza Mall in Landover Hills, MD had a food court stand that served: Ice cream, hot dogs, hamburgers, fish sandwiches, gyros, falafel, chinese, and subs. WTF?!?! How can any of that be good?

The Monte Cristo sandwich. Take a ham and cheese sandwich, cover it in batter, deep fry it, cover it in powdered sugar and dip it in strawberry jam.

Too bad this disaster was discontinued.

from Pizza Huts in Japan:

646 calories… per slice.

bacon wrapped sausages that acted as the crust, and mini hamburger patties on top of the mushrooms, soy beans, corn, paprika, garlic chips, green peppers, and pepperoni. Oh, and cheese? Yeah, it has cheese. Mozzarella, cheddar and parmesan. Oh, and it comes with ketchup and maple syrup for extra flavor.

There's a place in the food court at the Rosslyn Metro Mall, Philadelphia Mike's, that sells cheeseteaks, subs, and Indian food like masala daal. It's like the creepiest food court in the world.

Actually, it's not bad. But it's not something you can eat every day and live to tell about it.

An ex-gf lived in Japan for awhile and told me how alot of places served pizza with mayonaise and corn on it. That's about as unappetizing as I can imagine.

I've had freshly made yogurt soda at a Persian restaurant, that's sort of a popular beverage in Iran.

It's awful. It's fizzy, chalky, salty, and sort of burns when you drink it. Shimshirry in Tysons serves it if you feel like tryIng it.

I went to KFC during lunch and they hadnt heard of this "sandwich" before. A coworker went to a different KFC with simular results.

Its a phantom sandwich. Maybe its under limited release. Bummer.

If anyone finds it somewhere in Fairfax, please keep us posted.

Dubbed the Double Down, the sandwich is in test markets so far, which means that only overeaters in Providence, Rhode Island, and Omaha, Nebraska, can get their greasy fill.

I believe it is being test-marketed in limited locations. Probably not in a metro area like this, but in a smaller city in the Midwest, like Akron or Cedar Rapids.
