the danger to the 13 yr. old here is ... NONE, because there was no real 13 yr old who volunteered to meet the older man
if there was a 13 yr old what would the danger be: not an allowed argument, because it did not happen. it was a much older gov worker who was the lure - and that is one of many problems: the man infact agreed to meet a much older gov worker, not a 13 yr old; which is %100 legal.

I saw John Kennelly at the Court House in Fairfax. I went there to ask about a volunteer program, and as soon as I saw him enter I recognized him immediately. He was with his dad, his dad is ALSO a registered offender, in fact they both came in together. John was incredibly strange, he didn't want to sit at the table in front of him because it didn't have a window and there was a plant on it. He didn't have a license nor drive himself, his 80 something year old dad did. As I listened in on his conversations there was no doubt in my mind he was an egotistical, high maintenance individual who had the maturity of a 8 year old. Very weird experience.

This whole "catching predators" setup thing is creepy whether it is entrapment or not. Those who "catch" the people are just as sick as the ones who get arrested.

If you pull up the crime maps for the towns and cities in Virginia, some towns appear to have more sex offenders in them than residents, or maybe they live together in bunches. If you have kids and are thinking of a move to another town, check out the crime maps for the sex offenders and their locations first.
