I don't know if it is because of Summer vacations, new influx of posters, higher quality of new posters (brainwise) but it seems to me that this forum has improved in the last couple of months. You still have some of the long tooth, old hat posters beating the same thread styles, but it is refreshing to see alot of new regular posters, with funny new takes on old things. New blood you might say.

Could be the newer posters, people with less then 1,000 post to their credit, I noticed those are the most interesting. The heavier posters 5,000+ have turned it into a competition to see who logs the most, and elivates them, in their mind, to a higher status. Let me put it like this, it is like starting a new job and the older senior workers, solely based on longevity, have a sort of superiority status. More or less the same thing here. Also, some of the more obnoxious posters have been relegated to the thread Fairfax after hours (or dark) and spend time there instead of cluttering up the trenches with chickenshit and foolish insights and musings that the saner viewers find a bore.

I think it's hilarious how some people view the message board as some sort of game. Like if they somehow drive out the older users, they've somehow won.

Lately, it seems like there's two groups of users on here: the users that contribute to discussions, and the users that bitch about other users. A message board is only as good as its participants, so how good can this place be when people spend more time focusing on posts counts and talking about how they wish it was more interesting instead of, y'know, actually contributing something interesting?

I didn't mean to imply all the old (in reference to senority) posters were a bit long winded. Alot of them, Wingnut, Tomahawk, Warhawk. Walker, Tuttle, Dika- dika, and others still contribute, in the parlance of the thread, some pretty good shit.
