I got a pair of sandals by Birkenstock. I like them, very comfortable. I don't think of them as political though. Pretty apolitical I would say.

Just curious if "dika-dika" has ever been broken down to "akid-akid" - as some sort of insult, referring to you having the intellect of "a kid"? You know how FFXU brings out the name-calling etc...

Those look too slippery, but probably are great for foot protection. Remind me of the VERY good sandals made from discarded tires - tough, VERY long lasting, and treaded so don't slip!
