I'm with jhey on this... I think it was perfect... It was a triple mind-fuck... You thought gus was dead, then you thought he was alive, then... HOLY SHIT HIS FUCKING FACE BLEW OFF... WHAT!? IS THIS SOME TERMINATOR SHIT!? Then you realize Gus is really dead...
They aren't usually very graphic, but that's because they always want to keep you guessing and second guessing yourself... I'm glad they made it explicitly, and shockingly, clear that Gus had finally died.
I also liked the ending realization that Walt is no longer just some defensive, reactive, average joe in a shitty situation... He is a cold, aggressive, calculated sociopath... He is a force to be reckoned with...
I am very eager to see what direction the show will take next season...
