In the thousands so I can continue feeding my habit of high class booze, hookers, and collecting rare Persian and oriental rugs.

Im in my 20's and have about 7,000 saved up in cash equivalent assets, for my day to day money.

Im not quite sure where my college funds, retirement funds, mutual funds are at.. they are managed by my parents and their accountant. I should figure that out and withdraw everything; run off to Vegas for a couple months.

I've got 3 dollars in my checking and 1.56$ in my savings, most of my vast fortune goes to "trees"
I'm banking on the US dollar collapsing in the next 5-10 years and absolute chaos, which will put all the upper class on par with the lower class. I've been training my swordsmanship skills for this day, because i know that the guy with a samurai sword is going to have all the power.
In addition, i'm not convinced that Hogwarts is fictional, and if i can figure out how to transmogrify lead into gold, I wont have any issues with supporting myself.

Do you mean in checking, savings, or all your accounts combined (401k, [Roth] IRA(s), brokerages/investment, house equity, etc.)

What-the-fuck ever happened to just being early/mid 20's and stupid?

I guarantee that almost any 20'something with 7-10k in their bank account had about 7-10k assistance from Mommy and Daddy.

WTF? In your 20's with 401k, IRA, investments, etc? Late 20's, married and have your shit together, maybe....but c'mon.

He who dies with the most toys, still dies.

What ever happened to working hard, getting into a good school, landing a good job out of college, and saving as much as you can instead of wasting it on bar-hopping and crazy rents in Arlington?

And while I'm married in my late 20's now, I had all those things above while in my mid 20's and single.

And I don't plan to die with it, but rather give a lot to charity, take some memorable vacations, and leave my kids enough, but not too much. (don't want slackers)

You deployed a couple times and only have 15 grand saved. I made easily 45 grand on my last deployment and that was only 6 months. Gotta love tax free too.

Most people in the military are there because they could not hold down a real job, the military is just a form of glorified welfare
