That and she was supporting everything Obama already fucked up.
And she was going to raise taxes on the middle class
And support The Iran Nuclear deal
Oh, and she just was the worst candidate.
The Clinton Foundation, which was nothing more than a cover up for pay-to-play.

You obviously didn't read the book.
His advice was that in order to keep despotism out of America that american's would have to group together in interest / protest groups to overpower a european style parliamentary rulers who "are always in office".
However Alex was wrong on two counts: #1 electoral college can sustain despotism however it can also remove it. #2 interest groups in USA have proven to be highly in-effective. they are ignored, not reported on by TV. in a POLICE STATE Obama might run - protesters are threatened that "it's the .gov way or you'll be dead tazed and in jail"
Alex did say however that such groups were hard to form. And this is excellingly true - it tends to be only groups are formed in europe at times of massive protest for days to remove absolutely corrupt leaders. which works ... only sometimes.

and me: i'd say govern close to the people. and extract from that: the worst despots in the USA are county leaders - who *currently* have no term limit

I have read it countless times along with Macchiavelli, and Hobbes. For christ's sake why must your font be over 12?
