Maybe she wanted to get Katie fired to eliminate her has a rival for Monique. Most of the problems could be blamed on Katie. Matt was not a bad guy, despite the alcohol accusation.
The broken sign was probably the reason Matt was fired, since everything else was hearsay from a psychotic career criminal who spends her time on a random website.
