(USA helped developed IRAN oil pumping, shipped to Texas for refining. IRAN complained we "didn't pay enough for oil". An "insane religious man" began instructing iranians to nuke israel and USA. which is kinda where things still stand, thought there was a change in guard)

It's not that USA ever attacked IRAN or cared about the oil deals: much the opposite it was IRAN that became hostile about business
