DOW Finishes Up +618 points- Woo Mama! Even with China Down

Greed made a comeback on Wall Street. The Dow raced 619 points higher on Wednesday, its most emphatic point gain since the 2008 financial crisis.
The huge rally represents a rebound following six days of dramatic selling that was driven by serious concerns about how China's slowing economy will impact the rest of the world.
The S&P 500 soared 3.9% on Wednesday, its biggest one-day percentage gain since 2011. The Nasdaq surged 4.2% higher. The Dow's point gain was the third largest in its history.
The huge rally represents a rebound following six days of dramatic selling that was driven by serious concerns about how China's slowing economy will impact the rest of the world.
The S&P 500 soared 3.9% on Wednesday, its biggest one-day percentage gain since 2011. The Nasdaq surged 4.2% higher. The Dow's point gain was the third largest in its history.

Not to worry, they won't allow it to implode at this time. Much of their future tax money will be tied up in receipts of the Baby Boomers RMD's from their retirement accounts in the near and foreseeable future. That is the real reason they are having to keep it all propped up.

economy grew at 3.7 percent too. The economy kind of drew back because the rigthards are running for president again but now it has confidence again that they don't stand a chance in hell.

Oh boy, the market is tanking while I'm sure the back-end of the baby boomers were trying to squeeze every nickel they could out of the '08 crash. It's going to be common in the future to see 80 & 90-year olds working retail and office jobs.

About a month late on that one. More really. Downside has been priced into most now. I'm sure there are some still but it's going to cost you a lot more at higher risk and require larger moves down.
Always easy to see what you should have done after things go up/down.

Worse when you consider things on a real dollar basis. Most of the early boomers haven't done that great vs past periods. Works out to about a 3% real gain on their money if you count back to when most started putting money into the market prior to the dot com bust. That's deceptive though in that it's based on the overall market levels not individual stocks and timing along the way. Still, most of the real gains from stocks have come from dividends particulary compounded dividends, not price appreciation. As it has been in past periods also.

Based on the way too many boomers still employed at my office, Alpo and Purina are my hot stock tips for all you FU'ers.

I keep doing tech stocks. I buy when there down then set the selling price for the next morning. I made $4800 last week on the wild swings.
I'll be raking in another $2000 tomorrow morning when the stocks sky rocket every morning.

I did for my trade. Didn't hold through all of that obviously. That didn't help the price of the stocks any though. They were doing nothing for a long time. Only recently have they recovered from those low points. Never even close to back to where they were pre-bust.

they make their money by the rise and fall
infact they've been caught causing spikes (down then up, or up then down) and been penalized for it.

Got in on google yesterday at 630. Out this morning at 635. Up $5. Made nice little profit!
