Will America be better off without labor unions

Why do we have labor unions?
I just don't understand this. Why did we even have a labor union to start out with? I think America will of been better off without any labor union laws. I don't think we should have a minimum wage. I don't think we should be told to pay employees over time after 40 hours. I don't think we should be told to give employees benefits ! Amen!!! If you agree with me you will join me ! And vote for me for president of the United States of America! I will banned all labor style Union bills. I think if we didn't have labor unions or any other thing the labor unions passed the unemployee rate would be above 4% and not the 25% it is right now
