Should we move the state capital back to Williamsburg?

It was moved to that decrepit shit hole named Richmond due to the threat posed by the British. Should we just move it back to its historical and rightful place in Williamsburg? I realize times have changed, and Williamsburg is small, but we can expand the city. This will create more jobs for people who can build infrastructure.

Traditionally, most state capitals have been along the river or some mid point place within the state that is equal distance around . Ironically, Richmond is far from mid point. Its closer to NC than it is to NOVA. It is also 4 hours away from the tip of Southwest Virginia. The Mid point of Virginia is some place around Charlottesville or just east of it.

Richmond is an effervescent shit hole that needs to be deconstructed and rebuilt. It isn't a proper state capital. Williamsburg would need to be expanded, but it could be done. Charlottesville would also be a good candidate as a state capital.

I'm going to the VMFA tomorrow. I'll stop by and have some sweet tea with Meade; he lives very close to the museum.

that's not accurate at all.

on the east coast, the colonial capitols were based on the convenience of technology during those times. the cities weren't placed, they just evolved. richmond was about as far as navigators could safely guide ships up the James River at that point. didn't make sense to spend money figuring out how to go any further.

more money, too. And the people seem better dressed and better-behaved, more worldly, all round more appropriate to a state capital.

Really, state legislators don't want to wine and dine in Richmond or Williamsburg.

Do you really want to import all that carpetbagging shitstorm inhabiting Richmond and its load of democrapic sewage to what is one of the nicest pristine areas left in this state?

You would have to move the Marlboro smokestack and all the lobbyists with it.

Williamsburg doesn't want that shit.
