That dude is dead? I remember seeing his infomercials and trying to figure out how you make money by placing ads in newspapers. LOL. How the fuck would that work? What are you selling? What is your product?

it's a lovely scam that my ex-wife fell for. It says send in $x.xx and we will tell you how to make thousands! So she did...$50 later we got a letter saying "Place small ads in local newspapers offering information on how to make thousands! When people send you the money, give them this same information!"

Apparently the guy was getting ready to go to trial for fraud and hung himself in his jail cell. So, yeah, it was a scam.

I know he was busted for picking up a high priced hooker, I thought for a while he was going to be the next Billy Mays or Ron Popiel.

I think the production company eventually found a way to ditch him after the hooker-beating thing.

Hey does anyone remember the midget twins doing those infomercials in the early 2000's? I think they were realtors or something and I remember one of them died. They did a seminar in Tysons Corner one time and i wanted to go because they both had these pony tails and dressed in suits, lol

Billy Mays was not the first to go. Remember back in the 80's the pitchman Mike Levy, he would come out and squirt a Rolls with lighter fluid and use some waxy shit to make it all better? He died about 2 years or so ago I thinks.

This is a little off topic, but not worth a new thread - does anyone remember the guy who sold sports memorabilia on the Home Shopping Network/QVC in the 80's/90's? He was kinda fat, mustached and really over the top Used to say "This is absolutely pristine!!". I think his name was like Don Bass or something like that. Google is of no help. That dude cracked me up.

You're thinking of Don West.

Although he is not dead this guy was the biggest creep on tv infomercials. He talked about checking on his daughters turds to see how big they were.

Holy shit, that's right. Opie and Anthony used to do some hilarious imitations of him.

I used to like the little English guy who be on with him. He could get people at home clapping he was so enthusiastic. And there used to be an old timer who sold "slice an dice" and other SS cutlery. That is going back to the 60/70s though.

Earl Scheib was the best, he was big up North, I don't know if you Southies know of him, his catch phrase was "I'll paint any car for 99.95" he was a legend.

Ha ha ha, that guy looks like what John Waters would've looked like if he was originally spawned as a cross breed with a negro.
