Well, he can't do anything, but the whole point of keeping in touch with people is that you never know who's going to be in a position to help. To be be fair, LFF is consistent -- he was a whiny arrogant drunk jerk when he was on top, and he's going to carry that behavior with him right down to the very bottom of the hill.

Well of course. Artie Lange has had three years to build up the funny. Mike has been so giving over the past several years that he's used all of his funny up. Remember the genius of Shake Yer Boobs and Lick it, pinch it, curl it? It takes time for funny to build back up again after gems like that!

Isn't that the genius of the donation scam? There's zero accountability and no audit trail, and no one from the TMOS crew will answer any questions.

So here's the deal. Did Mike not want Rob(b) at the Roast initially, Rob(b) read the posting in DCRTV and then bugged Mike until he got to do it? Or did DCRTV simply omit mentioning Rob(b) the first time and did Rob(b) throw a fit until DCRTV ran an update saying Rob(b) was a new participant? Either way, seems like there is a rift growing between LFF and Rob(b).

I am a few weeks behind on the show, but this came up on the last episode I listened to. Rob(b) was asked to do it while Mike was still on the Edge, but then was in limbo as to whether or not the roast was going to happen. rob(b) is representing "the podcast" while someone (Kirk?) was going to represent the radio show. Personally, if I were Mike, I wouldn't open myself up to this kind of criticism, especially after failing at another radio show.

I'm telling you, LFF is headed to morning drive in Fort Myers -- the last audience left that will find impersonations of Larry King and Bob Barker and Bob Hope timely and witty. "It's Mike O'Meara's Breakfast Flakes, featuring Buzz Burbank!"

Hey, Rob(b). Can you say, "Welcome to Wal-Mart"? Because the PA system at a megastore is about as close as you're coming to a real broadcasting career.

Out here in Sacramento, I've kind of stopped listening to Donni since he moved to mornings. I heard a bit this morning that was grating and made me feel kind of sorry for the Don and his current crew. However mercifully his stint on the local morning amateur TV show is over, too.

Donnie's show has its moments, but mainly he's having fuen and it comes thru. It aint the old D&M show but it's good 4 outof 5 times. I nevr thought Good Day used him right on tv.

Geez... I switched my internets provider and failed to check on here a couple weeks and look what happens! LFF off terrestrial? The second leaving of mcsmack and WTL? I missed so much. How anti-climatic. I feel Rob(b)ed.

Personally, I disagree that this thread will continue eternal, but I believe that as long as LFF has the poor judgement to continue 'casting in whatever format he has the scratch to blow on he will spew his played jizzbomb of a show into whatever pained ears will listen.

Rob(b) will always be there to yell "who are you","hey apple", and the timeless "ENCORE!" into his vintage mic until they pry his fat ass from Mike's recliner. Probably the day they put it in the truck with the various recording and podcasting equipment as well as other household items from Casa del O'Meara headed for auction when it's foreclosed on.

As long as that continues, I predict this thread lives on.

Adam Carolla and Gary and Dino are so much more funny than TMOS and Dons new morning show. Don was figuring it out the last few months of the midday show, and it was getting better every day. Unfortunately, the morning crew ruins it. Too many unfunny chucklers in the studio.

Big O and Dukes would make the cut, but they spend almost all of their show talking about their show. It's egomaniacal and boring. When they talk about something they are among the best, imo.

This was one of the biggest problems with the MOMS on WJFK, and I assume it continues on the podcast, since if that's all they talked about then, now they must really be desperate for topics. Sad to hear those guys are going down that road. They were good from the little I heard them middays.

Don's new gang has actually started to blend into a pretty good grouping. I listen most everyday on the web and think the show is pretty good, especially when Don goes off on a tangent, like his hour long discussion of conjoined twins. He is still kind of morning zoo ish but at least i feel he comes clean about who he is, meaning he seems to have lost that whole i hate stern, o&a, etc. My main complaint is it is so Sacramento oriented. Ech that city sucks balls.

Don was crowing about his ratings today, so he must be doing well. Considering it's Sacramento, I'm not shocked. When I listen to the LFF failcast it is amazing to me how very little thought at all goes into the fucking hour every day. One fucking hour and that's the best you can come up with, Mike? I used to think he was the great mind behind the D&M show. Don's show is not as good as D&M in their prime, but it shows he really was the show. I listen to LFF and he doesn't even try to do impressions, that's one real talent I thought the guy had. And what's with all this begging for gas money on his website? Seriously? Who is paying his bills?

To be fair to BOAD, they seem to have gotten over themselves a bit. There was a solid month that was all recapping appearances, planning appearances, and talking about their intern show that was about the main show. Very boring, when they only do an hour a week.

Their last few episodes have been hilarious though.

Does anyone really think the RV video thing is going to be worth a shit? What have these idiots produced that has lived up to expectations? Nothing. In fact, most times they are so embarrassed about how much something sucks, they never speak of it again (golf tournaments, for instance). The only thing that would be entertaining about the RV show is something that makes LFF look like an ass. And you know that will end up on the editing floor.

Once upon a time, radio shows didn't let the listeners behind the curtain. Now, shows like the failcast won't let you OUT of the curtain -- they have no show except for talking about the show.

Bingo! When you heard a producer, or some other member of the show speak, it was a big deal. Slowly but surely the behind the scenes became the scenes, and eventually, there is nothing else to talk about.

LFF used word "gadfly" on fridee edition of the dullcast. wonder where he heard that word before

Hey LFF i'm going to go see Karla

Did you see O'Meara on Channel 50 whining about how his WVRX gig was a "year of pure hell..."? What a piece of shit this guy is - at least he was paid for work that required zero physical effort, which he should have been grateful for.

He also bragged about 35,000 downloads per failcast episode. Big fucking deal - how long would you last in DC 'real' radio with 35,000 listeners in AM or PM drive time?

Only LFF would promptly turn around and piss all over what may well be his last paying job in radio. It's always somebody else's fault. Maybe if he had WORKED at WVRX, he would have done a better job, instead of putting some of his (minimal) effort into the failcast. Face it, a balls-out effort from LFF isn't that impressive -- a divided effort is invisible.

'What is a gadfly, why does it keep coming up here?"

LFF is obviously listening to donnie. g. podcasts. the "gadfly" bit was used by donnie g. about 6 months ago but didn't gather traction so he dropped it.

Ah LFF trashes the joint he worked at now owned by one of the few companies in U.S. that owns a majority of the radio stations. One might think a somewhat intelligent person would keep its mouth shut in hopes of getting a job from this company but when you got shits for brains and self absorbed at same time you can't hep it. Poor Kirk McEwen had to put up with Ted Baxter come to life for a year.

Check out the U-Stream of LFF and the Hyenas in KCJJ land on friday episode. LFF looks like he's gained back most of the weight he lost. D9mn that was fast. And as I've said before LFF has a Fred Flinstone shaped head and the ear lobes of a fat person on the verge of a stroke.
Buzz takes his news gathering seriously. He's delusional.
And which Hyena has the more annoying laugh Rob(b) or Big O.
Big O seems to have acquired a stupid habit of slapping his thigh to go along with that high pitch hyena like laugh after he thinks he's gotten off a funny line

did he thigh slap psycho enough?

If Mike knocked up Carla right now, he would be in his sixties during the kids high school years and sevnties when the kid graduated. Think of how many 70 year old dads you saw at a high school graduation. Carla will be in her 40's and well past child bearing years by the time Mike dies. I hope it was worth it Carla. You will die alone and penniless.

I must apologize I listened to the segment on mark seagraves show and LFF didn't really trash his former employers very much except for the throwaway line about the place being "pure hell" LFF went on blah blah blah about how the radio business has changed and blah blah blah and he's pushing the podcast big time and went on blah blah blah how he's have the best time of his radio career with the podcast. Oh yeah LFF can actually cross his legs these days due to weight loss although on the u-streamhe sure likes he's packed back on a ton a weight
diaz seems to be the one who has succeeded in the weight loss

Not being familiar with the world of podcasts I have a few questions.

Does the failcast pay a service like Libsyn to handle the podcasts or do they handle all that themselves? storage of old shows and other elements of the lff website.

claiming over 9 1/2 million downloads, how much does that cost the LFF enterprises for each download? Some kind of sliding scale if they use a service provider?

I think I've seen mentioned they average 30,000 - 35,000 listeners of failcast or downlaods a day. How does that compare to the number of listeners the Don and Mike radio show had per day?

So what I'm getting at is the cost of the failcast at the claimed numbers and the amount of advertising revenue and bonus show dupes and t-shirt purchasers they need at LFF enterprises to keep them in gravy and beer.

I don't know about their service provider, but their deal with Apple should be making a few bucks, even with the "iTunes tax". Most people probably subscribe through iTunes, and of course, a download does not count as a listen. Just because you download something does it mean you listened to it, but it also means more than one person can listen to a download, so those kind of details are pretty muddy.

Gotta agree w/ you there. I'm a listener from way back in the PGC days when he was spinnin' records and I think that Doni would has done better as a solo act than with the current cast of chuckleheads. I sometimes prefer listening to an old GMD show to the HTK podcasts. I find him far more entertaining just doing his thing and interacting mano-a-mano with callers rather than surrounded by a cast of uninteresting morning sports jocks farting into microphones and interjecting witless sputum. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the influence of the higher-ups at CBS wanting to market the show as sort of a new incarnation of D&M based on the past success of the product, but it just isn't. I do think it's cool he hired Ardinger back though. I've only listened to one show since his return so I don't know how he's working him in, but I did hear that there will be Trick or Beer this Halloween.

Being that this is the LFF thread though, I'm sure he's probably losing sleep these days thinking that maybe he should have bowed out and retired on top along with his old pal. I'm sure he wonders that if he had played his cards right there may have been a chance of hearing D&M together again. I'm not sure how things are between he and Mr. Sorce personally, but I'm fairly certain that LFF's definitely destroyed any chance of ever working for CBS again, which means there's probably a snowball's chance in hell that will ever happen. It sucks really because I liked D&M. That show worked because they had a chemistry that LFF and Rob(b) or Big O do not, and Don hasn't got with his Sports Jerkies either. I could give a shit about LFF due to the fact that through attempting to take the helm on his own shows he has exposed what a total asshat he really is, but I really wanted to enjoy Don's. It's like when they changed the Coke formula, the new shit just don't go down as smooth.

d9mnit donnie g. started using the gadfly thing again right after LFF used it on the failcast. they obviously listening to each other but no way they could ever team up again unless frank sinatra brings them together on the telethon one year

The new Geronimo show is great when they are freestyling and bullshitting. The prepared bits are often terrible. Karaoke? For like an hour? Seemingly every week? Don has lost any sense of what's interesting...his stories about him and his wife are snores. Farting into the mic?

However, there are some straight up hilarious moments. The show was definitely better just before they went to mornings. I think Don feels the need to jive the show up bc he's in the am. See, his time checks.

Oscar felt Donald was taking him for granted (Donald was walking into Oscars' apt. w/o knocking, being too demanding etc.). Oscar told Donald to back off a bit.

Donald left Oscar a voicemail or something saying that he could not be friends with Oscar any longer.

Oscar spoke to Donald, and everything is ok now and they are friends once again.

Donald is going into a home next month, so it's good it ends with them friends.
