There's obviously something. Don never publicly congratulated Mike for the birth of his kid, both have pretty much steered clear of the other but now it's going to be impossible to avoid.

Wonder if this will finally force Mike to admit that he did not get fired from JFK because he didn't "do" sports--but because he was an unfunny, lame hack. (This is so obvious I don't think even Mike can deny it: Doni is obviously not going to do a sports show on JFK--he got fired from KHTK because he doesn't do a sports show.)
And if Don had Buzz on his show, that would be even more priceless: Buzz didn't leave TMOS because of whatever BS excuse Mike tried to sell; he left because Mike is a lazy, unprofessional, unreasonable drunk baby.

I'm gonna go against the odds and predict that Mike does NOT even address the Don thing. It would be the pussy thing to do, and everything we've seen in the past would indicate that he will just continue as usual.
I'm guessing well have 20-30 minutes on the Red Sox win though.
This is the same guy who didn't really ever acknowledge or tell the story with Buzz's departure. He spent 3 minutes saying it was mutual, and hasnt ever addressed the RELM network. And that was something that had a direct effect on his show.

Someone said it earlier, and the more I think about it, it makes sense. TMOS has long held on to DC listeners who yearned for the old D&M Show. Now, people can listen to Don, live, and have him speak to topical things in the DC area. Those who realized Mike can't carry the show himself, but were unwilling to give up the on D&M days now have Don to turn to. In this day and age, even a 7-9 slot isn't terrible since people can get a podcast of the show (not announced, but makes sense) and listen to it in the morning. I also believe, like many others, that the 7-9 slot is a parking lot until space frees up elsewhere in the lineup and won't happen until he is back living in the area.

Ustream runs some facebook script behind it now, and FB is blocked at my office. Therefore, I can no longer watch TMOS live (which I used to do every day). This has contributed to my giving up the podcast since the last day before the new setup.

It was great to hear Mike fumble through his prepared statement, you could hear the fat ass reading his heartfelt remarks word for word. He had to make it clear that he is not interested in coming back to radio, it is his decision CBS, so don't even bother asking him. Mike is content in this "new media" where as you can see from his rankings he is a huge success.
TMOS is the exact same god damned show every day, nothing is off the cuff. It is Mike stumbling through news that he has not scanned before. Oscar's hair curling cackle, Robb playing that stupid ass "FUNNNNN" drop, Mike not listening to items discussed on the show and then asking about the exact fucking item just discussed. I did enjoy today when Mike discussed a few items specifically off this thread (although he never mentioned the thread itself). I don't see how this show continues another 6 months but then again I said that 6 months ago.
PS he is still pimping for ticket sales RP, so I feel many of our jelly asses on this thread may be correct in believing the show is not sold out.
