Do you think Oscar is kicking himself in the butt for hooking up with O'Meara?

Wonder if he's trying to get in with the Geronimo crowd.

It's a lose, Lose job anyway. This ain't the late 80's early 90's. Both suck. He would be better off on his own.

Probably kicks himself enough for being stuck with Dukes, a guy who now dominates their formerly entertaining show with his vain side projects and wake of losers that follow him around.

It would be awesome if Buzz joined Geronimo for news breaks. I think Mike Francesa has a "news guy" right?

Don said nice things about Mike but his most telling quote was "there's not going to be a [Don and Mike] reunion...because I don't want to split the money. There, I said it."

Don doesn't need Mike, and it's very telling. He's not going to prop FDB up anymore by letting him ride the coat-tails.

That must be very sobering...which just makes him begin to eat and drink uncontrollably.

Based on what has been said over the past 2 weeks on various broadcasts and/or podcasts :

Mike makes less than $40K a year from the podcast.

Don still makes CBS money. More than CBS thinks he should make, but to me, that still would be a LOT more than $40K a year.

1. What we say here is true.

2. What we say here is very necessary as a warning to young DJs and to Carla.

3. What we say here is a kindness toward the victims of these characters, and also a form of 'tough love' so that TMOS repents before they lose their souls.

This. LFF must be planted in his chair/couch/bed watching "the magic box" more than his 93 year old invalid mother. Not to mention going to movies while his wife has his infant son at her office. Not even close to sustainable.

Has Mike found fault with himself? Has he paid those employees he screwed? Has he given listeners everything they paid for? Has he apologized to Buzz and Marc for treating them like shit for years? Same for RJ?

Before laying out this Christian edict on us, maybe "The O'Meara Family" should practice some. Maybe Mike should check out counseling so that he can be a better husband to his wife and father to his kids. Maybe he shouldn't have an occupation where he shares his personal life with the world if he doesn't want people commenting on his personal life. Maybe he should take his own advice, for once, and "Try Harder."

You hypocritical fuck. Conservatively 3/4 of your podcast content consists of unkind, unnecessary, and often ill-informed bitching about some product, TV show, movie, political party, sports team, or cultural phenomenon that rubbed you the wrong way. If you held yourself to that those "three tests," you wouldn't have a fucking show.

I defy you to show me one podcast-- and I mean it, just one-- with TMOS's history of turning huge fans into disappointed former fans. What does that tell you, fuckface?

Whatever Don has said publicly about the lack of a D&M reunion (not wanting to share the money, needing to move on, etc.) it speaks volumes about their relationship that one of them hasn't even made an appearance on the other's show - or in the other's living room, in Mike's case. Don has no problem going on Buzz's show but he won't even make a phone call to Mike's? Or invite Mike on for a single break? I'd love to get the full story behind their falling out.

The only "falling out" between Don and Mike is that after Don did what he had to do to deal with the tragedy of his wife's death, calling it quits on his radio career for a while, Mike (ALWAYS THE VICTIM!) made it all about himself and blamed Don for sabotaging his career. God forbid Don needed to step away because of the incredible loss for himself and his son. And instead of stepping up and carrying on and working his ass off to put out a quality program, Mike stayed lazy and phoned it in... and lost his job. Mike blames Don, but MIKE dropped the ball on his career.

Mike blames Don because Mike was unwilling to get down to it and work hard when WJFK/CBS *handed* Mike a show on major radio after Don and Mike Show shut down. Mike blew it. That's the truth of the supposed "falling out." Bad blood exists solely in Mike's head.

To be completely honest, I wouldn't blame Don if he weren't a little pissed at Mike for trying to pin it all on Don.

Mike, you blew it dude. You have no one to blame but yourself.

You don't 'like' Mike, you tolerate him. In all the years I listened to D&M I never thought they were friends. I thought they were business partners - grudgingly. It doesn't surprise me at all that they have nothing to do with each other. Same goes for his wife. She has something to gain and that is about it.

Freda's death obviously had a big impact on Don, but I think his decision to end D&M had almost as much to do with Mike being a LFF riding on his coattails. I don't doubt Don grew to resent FDB's unequal effort on behalf of the partnership. This was probably brought to a head when Don had to step away from the show temporarily to deal with his personal life and LFF did virtually nothing to step into the breach to help...besides showing up at the last minute to do a crap job on the air, like normal. Mike had two bites at the apple, at WJFK and The Edge. He did a shit job at both. You can lead an LFF to water, but you can't make him drink...unless that water is mixed with Jameson's, that is.

Also interesting that Robb has apparently gone to ground on Don's return, no comment on the return to DC of the 'god-father of one of his kids...'

FDB must have that shit stained studio locked down tight with fear of the tantrums that would ensue. Didn't Robb and Don used to do things socially?

It would be entertaining if Don and Mike each went on each other's show just as a guest. You know Don would not resist the temptation to take some light hearted shots at how the Failcast is run including Robb's synchophantic ass kissing. Robb might have a coronary having to laugh hysterically at both D&M. If LFF wasn't LFF, he could work up some newer relevant impressions of sports figures and call into Don's show from time to time as a gag. It might even be funny....but that takes effort

Cares about his fans? Is that why he takes phone calls? If Don owes his WHOLE career to Mike, why is Don still employed by CBS while Mike can't get a job in Radio to literally save his life? And what kind of career has Robb actually had in "radio"?

And didn't Mike make some snide comments back in the day, about Don's "drug addict" son? Don recently mentioned what a mistake he made, packing Bart back off to college so soon after Frieda died, and how he had to leave D&M earlier than anticipated in order to deal with his son's situation. He didn't go into details but it was clear from what he said that Bart was in a bad way.

How inconsiderate of Don to put his son first. Doesn't he know the universe revolves around Mike? Don should've dropped everything else in order to keep doing the heavy lifting, and I do mean heavy, of Mike's career.

I am not a fanatic about either one, but fact is:
Don had a very successful career in radio and was a well known personality before he ever met Mike. Don's wiki page has his resume. Mike's life changed after Don's. Don just got richer. They made a great team, but so did George Michael and Andrew What His Name? Ridgely? .

And your point? I see all kinds of people, good, bad, hard working, some not, con artist......most don't reflect who I am. I have no problem reconizing, complementing and emulating positive people. Sounds like you are taking a Phych course, don't make it a major.

Thank God a legal expert finally weighed in. Please to explain your reinterpretation of New York Times v. Sullivan (1964), which particular examples of speech on this forum meet all criteria for defamation, and especially how you intend to counter likely defenses of opinion, good faith statements, and mere vulgar abuse, not to mention satire.

Do you also intend to counter the allegations regarding your unnatural sexual relationship with Andrew Ryan's mother?

Okay, (asswipe) here's the deal (i-o): if you're his neighbor, post his address. Otherwise, shut up, take your fuck you and go away. Extra credit for your name and a picture of you (just your feet or hand will do, I don't need to see your pimply face) identifiably IN the neighborhood, i.e. a visible street sign.

If Mike talks about throwing suitcases, "having a night" or making less than $40k a year, that's comedy. If you talk about throwing suitcases, having a night or making under $40k a year, that's defamation. Now excuse me while I go back to washing dishes at Denny's.

I don't think it's so much about Don being an objective "get" for Buzz. I think it's more about the RELM network being able to flash that "Geronimo's back, and we've got him!" banner as an FU to Mike.

I'm sure Buzz is not going to find out anything interesting. It's not in his nature to challenge anyone. I already know Don is sort of a retard, and I don't care about his life in Sacramento. I care even less for a 'network' that is coming from some mother's basement.

What I WOULD like to know is what happened to Bart and is he OK?

OMG I listened and (once again) this singular episode epitomizes everything I hate about TMOS!

Starts with Mike reading a list cold.
Mike reads with sing-song cadence.
The list is hypocritically about the way people speak incorrectly (Mike is guilty of about 90 percent of what the list criticizes).
Robb plays a clip from... who knows... 1940??? to open the show.
Robb plays songs from 500 years ago in between segments.
Robb makes inside joke about Kelly from WTNT and laughs hysterically about his own joke.
Mike says "incidentally" pretty much every five minutes.
"News you definitely don't want to listen to a fifth grader reading cold from a news prep service."
Mike pretending he enjoys being a father to an infant by saying things like "I need my daily fix of Michael Jr." (Here's a clue: if you say things like this, it's pretty transparent you can't identify and hate spending time/dealing with your infant son).

I could go on but it just enrages me. I fucking hate this show. Haven't listen in months. I knew better and should have just stayed away. Same old shit. How is anyone still listening on the regular???

Yes, in TMOS #928, Mike literally (literally!) says he lives in "a carved up 1903 Victorian."

I'm just glad he doesn't feel the need to constantly tell us how tall Carla is, like he did with his last wife. I was glad when they split up, just so I did not have to hear that she was "4' 10 and a half" any more.

The only reason I am still listening on the regular is to read and participate in the "snarky" (that's another of his favorites) commentary here.

If I knew that my son-in-law was making my daughter take a newborn to work everyday for nine hours, while he sat at home, I would bet the hell out of him.

Why does Carla's Mom let Mike get away with this crap?
