Rob couldn't handle booking guests sent to him from P.R. "Host Talk" sheets every morning. He sure as hell doesn't have the mental facilities to handle working a register.

The best job for Rob at Costco would be handing out food samples and talking to customers. It involves food and being the center of attention. He would love it.

Ironically, I believe it will be Obamacare that will pose the biggest existential threat to the Failcast and krewe. Mike blindly supported the disaster that is Obamacare because he doesn't feel he should have to pay for the expensive medical procedures he will require for:
1.) Alcoholism
2.) Diabetes
3.) Pork chop arrythmia
4.) Blown out knees from getting off of stools to pretend to fight bar patrons
5.) Dislocated shoulders from throwing luggage
6.) Broken bones from laying down his Harley inside a wet trailer
Being the expert that he is, Mike will undoubtedly refuse to pay the premium for one of the federal or state plans avaialble or select the cheapest plan with a ridiculously high deductible. When Mike has that big claim where he will need to come out of pocket bigtime, he will start looking at the paltry revenue stream from the Failcast....and that is where the fun begins.

Karma will be a bitch...and FFXU wil be there when it happens

I think Joe's quote was "I can't work with him!" in regards to FDB.

Robb still mentions how many times he was and then wasn't producer. Look at most of the other JFK producers: Brett & Drab for the Junkies, some random guy who replaced Drab on the Levar and Dukes show... it's the next step up from intern or phone screener. Even John Normand was producer of D&M for awhile. To fail multiple times at such a basic position, and still claim to be a successful radio professional is insane. The Audio Vault is something a 5th grader who sits at home trolling You Tube all night would put together, except a 5th grader would have more relevant references. It's embarrassing for a "grown up" to be proud of doing that on a daily basis. Can you imagine Career Day at his kid's school?

I seriously doubt Robb could handle the stress or responsibility of handing out correct change at Costco. It's amazing to me FDB hasn't realized his career has been in a downward spiral since he hitched his wagon to Robb. Don is his kid's Godfather and wouldn't hand Robb a microphone. That should tell Mike something.

It's been a while since Rob has operated a cash register but don't forget he is also an expert at sales. He would probably have to start at a lower level like demonstrating new products or providing the food samples. Then we could secretly record him so we can all laugh and make fun of someone trying to make a living. Comedy gold!

I don't think I can come up with something Rob has done that made me laugh. The closest I could get was when Tom Gavin outsmarted him.

I just listened to the BOAD reloaded. It was well worth a couple bucks to hear the crew (but mainly Oscar) go off on Rob. It's too long to transcribe the whole thing but I will provide some highlights. It was in response to the fact that Rob was a dick to Drab during the live show. Mike asked Drab a question on stage and as he was about to answer Rob rudely and abruptly cuts him off. And then says some other rude things making Drab very uncomfortable and royally pissing Chad and Oscar off. Here are a few of the more interesting statements made.

Drab - "I hate to say it but Rob Spewak is an asshole"

Oscar - "There is no excuxe for it, he can be a complete dick at times"

Oscar quoting what he said to Rob that night - "I dont understand why you just can't be nice, is it because you are jealous?" "What's the jealousy factor here?" "I went off on him afterwards"

Oscar - "Look Drab, you're on the radio, you're producing a top 10 morning show and we (meaning TMOS) are still grinding"

"Just like I don't understand why Rob going to 5 guys on the weekend and that's a big weekend for him"

"He (meaning Rob) doesn't speak for the show. I can't apologize for him but I'm going to apologize because I didn't think that was cool either"

"Mike and myself really at the end of the day are the guys who really stir that pot" (meaning that Oscar and Mike are the two principles of the show, this had to put a stake in the place where Rob's heart shoud be)

"If it was Mike (referring to the rudeness) I totally get it but, you know, he (Rob) collects Nazi memorabilia. I can't understand that, I don't understand that. Now he'll say that he's a history buff but I'm saying otherwise.

"There is a serious malfunction with one of my collegues and I will never understand it"

Chad - "The reason I was upset by it is when we have guests, ask people to come over to our shows and be a part of it there is no chance that would ever happen"

Oscar - "The next time we do an event why don't we invite Rob and shit on him!"

Chad also expressed the frustration that BOAD mentions TMOS frequently but TOMS rarely cross promotes BOAD. There was laughter but all these things were not said in jest. Looking forward to the fallout. It was satisfying to hear real people who actually interact with Rob call him an asshole. I guess we've been right all along.

Also on Reloaded, Oscar starts to talk about Mike "going to the dark side" after the event and Chad wonders out loud how Oscar can put up with the all of Mike's personality changes, then catches himself and says they should talk about it at another time.

Now THIS is what the FAILCAST needs. All out civil war between Robb and Oscar with Robb desperately trying to hang on to the last pathetic vestige of living a life in the business of show. Now that Oscar has stepped up his game with the introduction of PowerPoint, we will hopefully see some fireworks. Unfortunately, it appears one of Robb's coping mechanisms is laugjing even more hysterically than usual. How about a slap fight instead? Mike could play this up for some entertaining "pod", but he is too fucking self absorbed as usual. Looks like another missed opportunity for the Failcast

And vice versa. Mike can't stand Oscar being on both shows and since he doesn't understand anything about Tech411, he doesn't really care about that.

Spent the day listening to the 6/22/2001 Don and Mike (Mike's 42nd Birthday) episode and the 12/1995 Don and Mike 10th Anniversary Show. Man, Mike use to be someone. At least locally/regionally. Hearing these old tapes reminded me this show and its hosts used to be something special!

Such a far away place from the 1903 Victorian and its shitty tired TMOS podcast. Kind of a bummer listening to these old shows.

The whole drab thing sounds less like Robb being an asshole and more like him not knowing how to do a radio/live show. SHUT THE FUCK UP when someone asks someone else a question and just LET THAT PERSON ANSWER THE QUESTION. Isn't Robb not shutting his cake hole the reason Don got him off mic in the first place? Granted Robb is an asshole but I think this is more a case of him being a bad performer than being an asshole.

Oops. Sorry. I actually know NO good fathers who do that.

I have a hard time believing Mike won't comment once he hears it...Oscar got a little Real Real...Ultimately, nothing will become of it...None of them can afford to quit/be fired...The show would fold...

I didn't listen to it - just going off of what that other person said who had listened to it. But Robb talking over someone and not letting them talk is pretty much his MO isn't it? Robb is an asshole because of that yes, but that's who he is. I don't understand why this is such a big deal for Oscar because Robb does this almost every day to him. Why is the fact that he did it to Drab such a big deal? Maybe I'm missing something?

Actually yes you are missing something. As Drab explained, he wouldn't have minded if it had been on a regular show. That happens all the time and he has no problem with it. But it happened in front of a large LIVE audience. That's why he was pissed and in his words "embarrassed". He didn't really even want to go on the live show but was invited by TMOS. I don't think this was simply a case of Rob being Rob. I think it was a calculated move because Rob can't stand anyone else to get a little mic time on a TMOS show. He's a cunning prick in addition to being a non-stop talking blowhard.

I used to think Robb was smart and quick-witted. He's made me laugh many times. But his constant ass-kissing and explosive fake laughs over nothing has killed it for me. What was my surprise to find that Oscarlita is even more annoying with his pet sounds and puppy laughs - or something. 'Unsubscribe' fixed it all for me.

You need to listen before you try to interpret it for those that have...Robb goes out of his way to be a dick to Drab, not just at the event...And doing it everyday makes him more of an ass

Have you ever been part of a group performance, a team production, or a sports team and during the big game/big show one of the team members shows up drunk or unable to perform/deliver and mouths off in front of the audience and undermines the team in front of everyone!?!?

THAT is what's going on here. THAT is Robb at the State Theater. THAT is Robb every time they have guests on the show.

And THAT is why Oscar is pissed. It is really unprofessional and discredits the entire show/production.

Robb is not a professional. Robb is not an entertainer. Robb is an idiot.

It's like all Robb cares about is hearing more Robb, even at the expense of the failcast

Yeah, Robb stole his entire act from Don...Too bad he couldn't steal some of Don's talent to go along with it...

Robb is a 40-something "never was" in radio. He's too old to even be a wannabe anymore. At some level he must realize everything he touches turns to shit, even if he wants to live in denial. I don't know if the Failcast could ever be a real success, but the fact is Robb is probably the biggest reason why it is so bad.

Exactly. The repetition was something Don could do with finesse, Robb just drives it into the ground from the first moment.

Worst things about TMOS:

1) Mike
2) Oscar
3) Robb

Not saying Robbay should be cut slack but he's hardly the worst part of the show.

As far as fatherhood goes, I don't think its all about income. He's present which I think is paramount. As a kid, I'd rather see my dad than a check. As a dad I'd rather see my kids as much as Robb does than make the kind of cash that necessitates paying a nanny so I can work.

So what his chick works. Its 2013. Gender and parental roles have changed. They seem to be making it work.

Yes he is flawed. But I do believe Robb excells as a father. LFF blows on air and IRL. Same for Oscar. Robb just blows on air. So he's got that going for him.

His wife cries in her car before she has to go into work and the only way his kids are going to college is if they get scholarships...Yet he works 8 hours a week and gets hammered every night...Clearly Winning...

I worked retail. We all provably did. Its not worth crying about. Maybe she should get a new job. Like an adult person. And I paid for college as I worked retail. I didn't get scholarahips because I didn't deserve them. She graduated, by the way. She should have gotten a better degree. She studied to make maps. Should've learned to drive the Google car instead.

College means dick now and will mean less when Robb's kids are eligible.

He's there raising them. That's something. Nobody talks shit about Oscar's dad who was never around doing doctor shit in the third world. Probably made decent cash too. I say Robbs's poor ass is a better dad regardless.

I get that we like to hate on everything TMOS but Robb off-air should be the least of our concerns.

Her degree in Cartography is paying more than his major in the theater arts...I do agree that his parenting skill are way down the list of objectionable qualities... The OCD interruptions /derailments, ass-kissery, bigotry,PonyBoy theme songs,or the fact that he plays video clips as an audio vault and fails to load half the video clips on the website when he plays clips "that work better as a video" are all better reasons to want him off the show and off the "air"

I have been listening since Don & Mike but thank god I found this forum. I just spent 20 minutes looking at the last few pages and I laughed more at this than any recent episode of TMOS.

Also, I noticed that Mike has a horrible crutch that he uses whenever he realizes what he's saying boring and unfunny; he mumbles "I love/like that" and then awkwardly moves on to his unread prep service news. What a fraud he is. At least Robb has to put some effort into the audio vault even if it sucks unless that too is from a prep service, which it absolutely could be, now that I think about it. No wonder Buzz left.

Speaking of which, what do we know about Buzz/Marc/RJ's departure?

I guess you forget circa 2005 when Rosie O'Donnell's movie "Riding the Bus with My Sister" was on. Don played those fucking Rosie-acting-like-a-retard tapes over . . . and over . . . and over.

"Our daddy is dead!"

The reason Robb is home with the kids is that he is drunk, has no money to go anywhere else and doesn't work a full day. Just being there doesn't make him a great dad. That's the biggest pile of nonsense I've heard.

Don't forget the movies. He likes to go out in the afternoon to see movies and then bitch about how other people are in the theatre instead of at work because they live in the land of zit.

If I was his wife, I would love to know that my husband is out watching movies while I am busting my ass working at Jones of New York.

His kids are at school all day, job sitting at home alone looking at porn and drinking doesn't make him a good father. It makes him a big loser.

Agreed.

I shop at the area she works but not her store. It almost makes me want to go browse the store -- just to be nice to her.

(No interest in harassing her or making fun of her on FFXU. As a former retail drone and as someone who recently left a soul-crushing, non-retail job, I genuinely feel for her.)

He laughs at a woman having her face ripped off by a chimp. He laughs at his wife for crying about a shitty job she's forced to work because her husband is a fat lazy load. I seriously doubt Robb sucks in every aspect of his life but is somehow a stellar father. Fact is you don't hear much about what he does with his kids. That's no reason to assume he's great with them. Any douche bag can dedicate a song to their kid. Bing Crosby had family specials featuring his kids but was reportedly a horrific father. I think Robb is just as ineffectual as a father as he is as a broadcaster, husband and human being.

The MOMS is like a prism made of shit. No matter what angle you take looking at it/listening to it, it's still shit. But there's ZERO doubt that the show would improve markedly if Rob(b) vanished, and, oh, pretty much anybody off the street took the third chair.

Robb is not quick witted, he just doesn't stop talking. He's not funny, he's offensive.

Agreed...The Prism of Shit line is priceless

I don't agree that Robb is ass cancer. He's more like Botox. In small, strategic doses, like Don used him, he can be beneficial. But open the floodgates on him, as Mike has done, is a painful, paralyzing death.

This thread is about the mike o'meara show, which includes Robb.

"A pork chop is a terrible thing to waste."

Cut to an image of one tear rolling down Mike's face.

When I said Robb tells a great story I meant he knows how to tell a story. No matter if the story is particulary mundane or of great importance. He tells a story well. Better than Mike, certainly better than Oscar. Better than most.

He's gifted that way.

I can't agree. He rambles and wastes time in the mundane and irrelevant. He can't stay on point and laughs at everything he says. He's an idiot.

Then why is it that every time Mike is gone, Oscar has to carry the whole show with his stories?

You would think Blobb would finally love to have the mic to himself, but everytime he has to punt the ball and let Oscar do all the heavy lifting.

I don't live in Virginia so I have no personal contact with these guys. They didn't rip me off at the Look Around. I don't know Chad or Drab or any of these assholes. I'm sure they are disgusting fat radio ego douchebags. So why would I hate TMOS?

It's easy. The chimp affair. This is when I knew these were very bad people. No way in my presence would anybody make fun of that poor woman. Not only did Robbb think this was very funny, but Mike enjoyed it, too. I'm sure that retard Don would have approved. But why don't I hate Don? Because I figure his IQ is 85. He's a borderline retard. I can't hate a retard. This is not true of Robbb. I'd put his IQ at 125 and Mike at about 115. Oscarlita at a dead 100. When you are smart enough to know better, than you are just plain evil like an amusing cross-dressing Nazi.

The chimp affair is the same to me as recording Robb's son in the cancer ward and finding something funny about it. These guys deserve punishment. And that is what we are supplying. I have zero sympathy for these alcoholic demons.

Robb thinks people who are Chinese are automatically funny. That tells you everything you need to know.

And you give him way too much credit with a 125 IQ. People with 125 IQs don't cross jumper cables or have difficulty lining up guests for a radio show. I believe Robb is an idiot savant sans savant.

I wonder how funny it would be to play tapes of a child fighting cancer and "being brave".

The only person who got crickets at the live show was Rob. That should tell you everything. I wish they would do every show in front of an audience and they could see first hand Rob getting crickets on his spastic comments.

Rob may be funny to Mike and Mike obviously approves of the racist crap to allow it on his show for so long and to have sound clips ready to go, but the general audience is sick of it and very sick of Rob.

It has been 5 years and their podcast is not even ranking anymore, I say it is time to bring in a new co-host and put Rob back in the corner with the dry erase board and no microphone.

A woman getting her face ripped off by a chimp is an odd story, but it's more odd to openly laugh about it. There's something truly wrong with someone who thinks screams of this happening to someone is funny. In fact, it's clearly fucked up.
