I'm guessing any shows with buzz and older (Marc, RJ) will never be a "best of"?

It's all just a bit CBH, he will flip flop on it in a couple of days and have new reasons...

DBB, If you are such a fan of TMOS, then pay for the bonus shows or you are admitting it sucks and your credibilty is shot. You already acknowlege that it sucks because you FF anytime Robb speaks. Just come over to the dark side and set yourself free, man.

Yeah but you might hear the voice of Buzz...or gasp....hear them talk to RJ or Ronick.....mustn't acknowledge the past. When you ignore all that material the pool gets pretty shallow pretty fast and your stuck with news that was irrelevant the first time, Kraft recipes, and never ending sugar glider stories. Sad, just sad.

Oh God! We haven't heard a sugarglider segment yet have we? Hopefully Pony won't pull one...He certainly won't showcase the death of a sugarglider like Sicko Robb..

I'm okay with the pictures. He waited until moveout day, and stayed in the car. Didn't go all Carl Grossman. It's not like he's on the baseball or soccer team or a 16 year old boyfriend of a 15 year old trading snaps of Mike O'Meara's Daughters' Pussies

Don has said he won't bad-mouth Mike, this might go to the idea that when they were together Mike deferred to Don about all the decisions and didn't get the asshole big head until after the split. I doubt Don listened after the split so he may not know about many of the digs Mike made about him and Bart since then. I caught the first half live and am finishing up now, but all in all I'm happy with it, I don't know how many times listening to the old shows I could tell Don was pissed but he couldn't tell why on the radio."

What digs did LFF take at Bart?

You know, if mike really pulled back the curtain on JFK, it WOULD be entertaining... Not the pussy, half a pinkytoe in the water way he and Robb did, but really burned the bridge like Don...What's to lose? Mike wasn't getting another gig in the DC area after he walked out on a shift and Robb couldn't get a weekend board-op job when he was up to date on the equipment...What are they holding back for?

He made a comment once about Don having to quit D&M because Bart got addicted to drugs after Freda passed...He made some callous comment like " I'm sorry we had to stop, I'm sorry you had to go take care of your drug addict son after Freda died"...It really shined a light on what a selfish baby Mike really was...

Mike doesn't have the sack. point blank.

He still holds out hope to be successful in radio again, regardless of what he says. I think he's painted himself into a corner though. Their show doesn't sound like ANYTHING on radio today...and not in a good way.

@Ghost of Buzz...they haven't had a good segment for months before Patton...and it will be months (years?) before they have a good one again. I don't know if they were trying to make the sugar glider segment similar to Anthony's regular references to Beavis, but if so, it flopped harder than DBB's mom.

There's a lot of misinformation here. It's easy enough to search this forum for the reaction when this was said, and to find the clip.

Mike said something about the son I think, but I frankly can't remember whether it was a hint or a blatant statement. Whether it's clear or debatable.

Did the search...couldn't pinpoint it.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong: Wasn't this comment said under Mike's breath (or slightly off mic), but upon further review it was unclear whether Mike was calling Bart or Buzz (who was still on the show, I think) a druggie. I remember being really shocked when I heard it, but then rewinding and finding room for debate.

The quote was *something* like, "I bet his father is real happy that he raised a drug addict"

This forum went through the analysis at the time. I was here. This was back in the era when Mike used pronouns and finger points all the time, like a real radio professional.

Where the OGs at?

It seems that both Don and Mike have made comments that could be interpreted as Bart having understandable drug problems after his mother's death, but I would also be interested in hearing such a definitive statement from LFF. And I swear I remember one time Don said something about Bart going through something when he was much younger that he had promised Freda he would never talk about on the show. I always thought that was something like Don's childhood cancer, but who knows?

That's good to hear, DBB. Now back it up by posting something specific from the show that hasn't already been mentioned or tweeted. Balls on chin.

And really, stealing bits? The way TMOS stole the thing of reading the news, right? Or the bit of putting interns on mic? Or the bit of using sound effect? Or the bit of doing April Fool's jokes? Or the bit of talking about their families? Or the bit about having the wife on the show? Or the bit about eating and drinking uncontrollably? Or the bit about drunkenly challenging strangers to "take it outside" in a bar? Or the bit about hijacking an appearance to ruin it with drunken karaoke? Or the bit about not being able to keep on-air talent? Or the bit about being too hungover to get out of bed and walk to the living room to do a show? Or the bit about being a house-bound morbidly obese alcoholic (tip o' the hat to ZW)? Or the bit about fits of uncontrollable rage? Or the bit about doing a poorly attended appearance with an overhead projector? Or the bit about...

I'm guessing anything older than a couple months is out of the question, because it's too hard to go through material. Each best of so far has been composed of clips from within a couple weeks of each other and since December.

Since a Bart dig is debatable, I take that part back.

I think LFF is a huge ass, but the comment was aimed at Buzz, not Bart or Don. He was referring to Buzz's dad being thrilled with Buzz being a drug addict. That was addressed here on the forum before. There's plenty to fault Mike for (such as throwing a suitcase at his pregnant wife) without making stuff up. And it's not debatable. Mike never called Bart a drug addict.

Shit, sorry for bringing this up. My enjoyment of his Franco Spring Break impression is the inverse of his and Spewak's delight in it. Then LFF feeds off Spewak's OCD and just runs it into the ground.

How about the way Don talks to RJ during a technical difficulty? Contrast that to Mike's handling of RJ's cancer. Who would you rather work with?

Thank God there is no Failcast this week with another shooting at Ft Hood. I could not take another political harangue by LFF on gun control while claiming he's playing it down the middle. I'm sure LFF will milk it for at least one show when he gets back.

I've posted before, no username, but maybe I should get one. I do read everything posted here every couple of days.

I haven't heard Don's new show yet but I'm thinking of trying the month subscription. I was loving his show just before they let Joe, Phantom and Craig go. For about 6 months there (first 6 in 2013?) I choose to listen to DGS over TMOS. Before that I was loyal to TMOS (Vip and Bonus content..I even call the fuckers at Weight Not but didn't buy in). Went on a diet on my own and I am not skinny but not a load like Mike or Robb.

If I like Don and Drew and Buzz and have come to hate Mike and Robb (don't give a shit about Oscar) it is worth it for me to subscribe?

I stopped TMOS about when Buzz left. Mike's negativity was too much. The constant complaining and bitching about how hard you work. Most of your listeners, Michael Shawn Patrick O'meara, work 8+ hours a day you. LAZY FAT FUCK!!!! But more, I was just disappointed with the product. It was good for a year or two but went downhill. I have not listened to the Patton episode even though I love that guy. I also loved the comment in this forum about Patton dropping the names of all the podcasts and that it was obvious he doesn't listen to TMOS. The "jive DJ" thing was shtick but they have morphed into Jive DJ's...does't Blobb ever say "music" instead of "bbbuuuussssicccc" or whatever comes out of his mouth. I couldn't stand more than one break of the Robb show with his constant "this is your old pal Robb"...fuckin' douche. And to think I "friended" him over Mike in the Facebook contest. What the hell was I thinking?

I love this Forum. Way more entertaining than anything on TMOS.

Ah, what else do I agree with on this forum??? Don's Blackberry is a wanker.

That is all.

I never met Don or Mike. I listened from far away. Still, I always got the impression that Mike was a mean alcoholic-type dude who was actually terrified of Don. Don certainly played the 'lead' part.

For that reason I doubted that Mike would ever dare say something about Bart on air.

I also surmise that the reason Don and Mike have called an all-out truce on negative comments about each other is because THEY HAVE SO MUCH REAL DIRT ON EACH OTHER THAT IT WOULD CREATE A TOTAL NUCLEAR WINTER. Dirt that we can only imagine.

My theory is that HIGH SCHOOL is the true formative period of a person's life. They say everything is learned by age 7, but it's HIGH SCHOOL that shows you the TRUE pecking order of your life. If no one wanted to fuck you, you spend the rest of your life trying to get attention and to 'prove' you are a stud.

The same goes for sports. I am NEVER interested in 'a pick-up game of basketball' or an afternoon of 'touch football' with some dudes. I don't join soccer or softball leagues. I don't even jog. Why? BECAUSE I DID ALL THAT SHIT TO THE MAX IN HIGH SCHOOL! I held the 100 yd. dash record for 25 years there and when I played football I played both ways and special teams. I never got off the field the entire game. After school every fucking day of my life I had two hours + of coaches yelling at me and getting my head beat in as well as kicking some ass myself. Running, working out, puking, injuries.....

Yea, I got it all out of my system. Not that I don't like sex. But I don't drool on ladies; I charm the pants out of them. At 58 I can still walk into a bar and walk out with a 32-year old classy lady. No problem.

These radio nerds are the types of dudes I gave swirlys to. By the way, I also got drunk all the time and took drugs and acid. Smoked pot after every game. Didn't need to do that anymore, either.

Jesus. They all act like weaklings and babies. Grow the fuck up. It's not funny, it's embarrassing.

Listened to 2nd day of DGS - some pretty funny moments and I would say that I am enjoying it overall. I didn't follow the Sacramento show so I am hoping the talk about people there fades away a little - yesterday was fun to listen to but the KHTK bashing started to get a little old by the end of the show. What I liked is that technical difficulties were handled smoothly and comically rather than negatively. On TMOS there is always the drama and fake anger around technical issues that seems tedious to listen to. Also, I agree, while RJ is not a huge part of DGS, Don has not instantly demeaned him under the guise of "conflict". There is little forced laughter and Don is not tied to some prescribed format - the show has an organic flow. the whole show seems real and honest. Lastly, calls make it interesting - some are good, others are not, but the crew seems to make it fun. Buzz has had very little prescence in the first two shows - not sure if this will change with time. I think it is worth paying for a month if you liked Don and Mike and are curious about this new stage of DGS.

Could you sound like more of a douche? I've never had that many douche chills while reading one post before. You keep bringing up your high school career and how awesome you were. There's nothing worse than someone who peaked in high school. Please, tell us more about your high school sports records and sexual conquests. Blech.

So far, Don's podcast has been riddled with technical problems that, I suspect, would have sent Mike into a nuclear rampage certain to make the remainder of the show tense and unpleasant. Don, by contrast, rolls with 'em, makes them into jokes. He's like Letterman that way. It's often funnier when shit goes wrong, because of how smoothly he handles it.

It's also kinda interesting that, so far, Don's show has been mainly him bitching about how he's been screwed over by various managers and PD's. He's similar to Mike that way-- they both tend to view themselves as victims of incompetent or malevolent others. The difference, though, is that Don can make that shit entertaining. He doesn't whine or avoid, like Mike. He goes on offense. And while I'm sure it's as distorted as Mike's victim complex, it's a lot more fun to listen to.

Side note: Don does a phoner with Marc, Lowell, and Buzz on the latest Marc and Lowell Show (begins about halfway through), and it's some funny shit. He slaps M and L around, stating forthrightly that he's only on RELM because of his relationship with Buzz, that he barely remembers Marc and Lowell, and that RJ Diaz "dwarfs Joe Ardinger" intellectually, but he's the "laziest sack of shit" Don's ever seen. Fun stuff.

I said "I could." I don't hang out in bars and I'm not fat, ugly, poor or an alcoholic. Those are my points. I was a loser in those terms when I was very young so I saw that is not what I wanted to be at O'Meara's age.

I'm not 58, but I do enjoy alcoholic beverages and women. Don't plan on changing either of those because of a calendar.

Back to TMOS? I'm sure the move is going swimmingly. #fullmike How many days will it take to recap? It could be the full week.

Because you're not an actor in a commercial or the Big Chill? Still, I admire your backbone. I myself am constantly being pestered to play touch football, and the only time I touch a basketball is when I go to a black neighborhood to win some spending cash so I can get to the bar and troll for 32 year old honeys. And if you're anything like me, not joining soccer or softball leagues is almost a full-time job.

So you went to a small school known for slow runners? In my day playing offense and defense was the norm, so of course you played "both ways" in the most homoerotic sport.

Anyway, I bet you never got close to Al Bundy's record for most touchdowns in one game at Polk High.

Everything and everyone is explained by high school. I should write a book on it. I'm surprised no one has. You could make it a religion. In fact, I think everyone should be forced to wear a photo of themselves they took for their yearbook and have to wear it around their neck all through life. Then everyone could save lots of time seeing what you actually are. What they are actually dealing with. It explains all these old douchebags trying 'to get laid.' It explains Spewak. It explains O'Meara.

When a guy like me sees Howard in the studio with another teeny 'porn star' I think, that dude was a super nerd in high school. There are a lot of nerds here trying to get back at me. Don't hate me because I am beautiful. And high school WAS NOT the peak of my life. I have gotten happier as I went along. I was a little wrong with my statement. I never have been fat, ugly or poor. But I did party too much and I did go through a lot of girls and their moms. THAT I got over - and proving that I was pretty athletic.

My main problem with TMOS is that they are weaklings.

Yes I am 58. Haven't you heard the new 60 is the old 40? If you saw me you would think I was 42. People do. And I can outrun my kid who is 26 - and he's in good shape. My father ran against Jesse Owens in Ohio three times. Stayed with him, too. My older brother held all the hurdle records at my school. My younger brother was a baseball star. The both went to West Point and my younger brother retired as a general officer. It's just genes, man. Blame god, not me.

I feel bad, because I agreed with him about being annoyed with how most Radio personalities deal with hot women.

But unfortunately, I am the extreme 100% polar opposite of everything he describes himself as. Virgin throughout high school. No sports. Drama club, Model UN. "Answer me these questions three?" I know the three questions and their answers.

All it has to do with is the man you are. It has to do with being comfortable with yourself. It has to do with knowing how other people can and should be treated. Be they a hot woman in a bikini or an employee.

I'm a weakling too. But I am willing to bet I am more of a confident man than you are.
And to prove it. I will never comment on this subject again.

Your high school theory is dumb. Skip the embarrassment of sending out a treatment on that literary masterpiece.

No one is impressed by how much ass you claim to get... way to shoehorn that in to an explanation of "why I don't like hearing porn stars on the radio."

Personally, I don't enjoy it because it's generally fucking boring (which is my opinion on most interviews based on a person's profession)... what can you extrapolate about my high school experience?

Doesn't talking one's self up on a message board constitute "weakling" behavior? ("Weakling" is such a dumb word, btw... Archie comics called, and would like it back for their upcoming Jughead Double Digest.)

Pussy Riot,

I feel like Thurston Howell III trying to explain to Gilligan what it is like to be rich.

I got a kick out of your comments. I really did. In fact, you could have hung out with my entourage in high school. We had a couple nerds with us to make us laugh. As long as you didn't say all that creepy shit around our girlfriends. That would have to go.

Back in the old days a king would have a jester - a fool. And that fool could do a full-on Woody Allen bit and even make fun of the king and the court. That was actually what they liked best! It was all ok as long as the fool was funny.

Breaking news there. Alert the media. Like he totally never talked about it on the air and didn't write about it in his rather successful autobiography. When a guy like me sees a guy like you watching that sort of programming a guy like me wonders if maybe a game or two of touch football mightn't do a guy like you some good.

> There are a lot of nerds here trying to get back at me.

Now you sound a bit like Captain Queeg with the strawberries. You pinned an enormous "Douche" sign on yourself.

> Don't hate me because I am beautiful.

It's pretty much just the douchiness.

> And high school WAS NOT the peak of my life.

Apparently it's your prime jacking material.

Ah, so now you apologize for getting too much pussy, because you're just so awesome.

> My main problem with TMOS is that they are

My main problem with them is that the show sucks, but that's just me not being fixated on high school.

This is what happens when the Failcast is gone for a week. We have to endure douche-on-douche violence by posters. I think we can all agree on this. Most of Mike's problems stem from his being emotionally immature (regardless of what caused it). He should grow the fuck up, but at 55, that's never going to happen. Moving to Florida won't change the trajectory or the eventual train wreck outcome. I just feel sorry for his kid and a little perplexed at why Carla decided to subject him to his craptastic father by bringing him into this world in the first place.

I can't help but notice that without TMOS to hate, we're starting to devour ourselves. I'm sure the Fan Klub is getting a kick out of this.

But really enzo, your posts were a little...douchey. I don't always agree with Puzzy, but he's dead on this time. No one cares about how you were in high school and whether you peaked or not. It seems like you picked a great time to make it all about YOU for a minute - and I really don't know why. Just to keep the board buzzing? Because I'm sure you must have known what your posts would cause...

Now that I've established I'm a hypocrit, I'm sure someone will have a resounding rejoinder that confirms that fact.

Upon reflection, I would like to admit to getting way too much pussy in high school, however, to quote John Cleese from the witch scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail: "I got better"

LOL, you losers really show your true colors at times.

Fuckheads are filled with hate. The show is on break and you start in on each other.

Move out of your parents basements and get a life.

Carla here with an update:

After having to stop at seemingly every Cracker Barrel on I-95, we finally arrived in Fort Myers, or as I call it, the Manassas of Florida. Since Mike is off-air this week, his drinking is back on. Many, many days of Full Mike recently. Full Carla can still dominate him, but my power is ebbing. Cary and I recently tweeted Don to ask him to prevent domestic violence by being gentle when and if he gets around to talking about our husbands on his new podcast. Oh, and yes, Frankie has already crapped the kitchenette where Mike's TMOS laptop has been set up. Seems like home.

Again, you make things more dramatic to "prove" your point. One person uploads a picture of Mike's house turns into all of us are stalkers. We poke fun at one of the regulars turns into everyone us turning on each other. And then to top it off, you used the moms basement line. Really great post. Try to be less original next time though.

Ps. Puzzy riot gave me more laughs on his first post about Enzo than I ever got from the failcast.

Gotta love it. You can practially set your watch to the TMOS fanboys who post in here. Once or twice a page and always with the parents basement. Please stick around awhile so we can start in on you.

Carla: Word is already getting around down here among the service professions about Full Mike. Also, I can see waitresses we've had quickly trading our table to unsuspecting co-workers when we are seated. On the topic, it's strange but I am getting used to dinner at 4:30.

You dumbass TMOS fans really are new to this forum. How are you going to shut it down? Send a threatening letter? Start a hate group on Facebook? Pretend you are going to hire an attorney until you find out how much it costs and the odds you'll lose are pretty good? All that has been tried before. Go waste your time.

Robb has an "above ground" basement...Let that sink in the next time he derails a story to correct Oscar's English...Robb calls the ground floor of his 3 story townhouse a basement...

Our hubbies have looked into it, trust us. Not gonna happen. Plus, this forum has Enzo, who will be able to charm the pants off any woman or man from the internet police who tries to do so.

Cary: And he calls what's between his legs a "penis." Not like anything I saw in my high school biology texts. Or, for that matter, in Japan, if you know what I mean.
