Good lord. I'm a chick, I like small, adorable creatures as much as the next gal... but this is outrageous. Never mind the fact that the show still has radio-style "segments." Fucking WHY? WHYYYY? I mean, it shouldn't still chap my ass, but it does. It still sounds so fucking stupid when they delineate a "break" by dropping the volume on the music and having everyone hold their breath for a half second.

...oh right, so they can burn a CD for a station in bumfuck Iowa. Never mind. I forgot how vital and important that audience is to the show.

Peekza, you sure were working today, I'm making tables so I didn't have time to greet my friend but I was listening and looked in occasionally. If the show starts a little earlier tomorrow I'll be sure to interact some, but you were good today.

With the Big Move, the NCAA final, everything else going on, these clowns have 2 segments' worth of Sugar Fucking Gliders talk? Hey guys, this is one helluva "fun mashup" you've got going for you...

BTW, does anyone know if Mike's "scoot" made it into the Ryder?

Sugar glider talk basically starts at the beginning of the show, after a brief introduction of Jimmy from Jimmy's Old Town Tavern, fresh of a 2 day trip riding LFF's scoot down to the retirement community. 45 minutes in (with liberal use of the fast forward button) they're still going. They're talking all over each other. It's pretty terrible, even if the subject matter was not so inane. No point in listening.

Hahahaa I have no idea if there are more like me, but maaaaaan... you should have seen my face when I found this forum. "I KNEW IT! I fucking KNEW it! There's no WAY everyone likes this goddamn show so much!"

Finally, a place to gossip about how tragically unfunny and out of touch my once-favorite radio personalities have become.

The first time I saw the words "lazy fat fuck," I knew I had found my people.

The best part about it is when you try to bring up how lame a bit the SGs are in the TMOS chat and the lemmings fall all over each other to tell me how much they LOVE the sugarglider segments...If Mike was talking about sticking broken bottles up his butt and someone says, please, no more talk of broken bottles being shoved up your ass, a small percentage of the Klubbers would ask'why does it bother you" or "what do you want them to talk about" while the rest would just say "I LOVE sticking broken bottles up my butt"or "I can't get enough of sticking bottles in my butt talk"....I love getting on there and watching them eat each other like rats waiting for the show to start...They just log in around 11:00 est and wait...the show was only 30 minutes late today, yesterday it was an hour and a half late...But you better not ask when the show is starting...ahahahahaha

Haha no... I've listened for a long time but never participated in the FB page. It always seemed so fake and like you couldn't talk about anything there... I'm trying really hard to remember what I googled to end up here...at any rate, it was a search that brought me here... I used to enjoy hanging out on the Adam Carolla boards... super fun to just chat and express opinions about the show, etc... I always figured there had to be something similar for TMOS that wasn't so obviously sanitized... anyway. It was fantastic to find this place.

LFF is Rob's anchor? Rob is the entire show's anchor with his dreadful segments, interruptions, and comments that are either racist or referencing a 1940's entertainment also-ran.

LFF is Oscar's anchor because he doesn't fire Rob.

I listened to the move show from yesterday. That was it. $38 motels, more laughing than ever from the King of Comedy sucking up to Jerry, and on top of all the suck - COMMERICALS. More fake Sleep Comfort sort of testimonials than ever before.

That's it. I'm out.

I've satisfied my curiosity with Don and the Big Move South. Outside of a suidice, I don't think anything new is going to happen for a while.

I'll check in here once a month or so, but there is absolutely no reason to subject myself to that Fraudcast anymore.

I admit it: I DON'T GET IT!!

What a great show yesterday and today:

  • Buzz recites rap "lyrics" (I use that term lightly).
  • Don taunts the crap station KHTK.
  • Don shares a personal anecdote about how his wife got a hospital—to which she owed money—to pay her the amount she owed them because they sicced an abusive debt collector on her.
  • Don calls and catches up with Bethann McBride and discovers all sorts of juicy tidbits. BA is surprisingly forthcoming about her sex life.
  • In his fat-guy-from-Fatso voice, Don calls the fine folks who make Depends and makes one CSR hate her job even more.
  • Don talks about Sacramento TV personalities including the weather people (unlike LFF, he makes it interesting and entertaining when he describes how he abandoned his wife for four hours at a party to smoke the mellow weed with a weather chick).
  • Don's goal in life is to have his account verified on Twitter and get to display the white-on-blue checkmark.
  • Don hints at mending fences with Leah Remini.
  • O-faces

. . . and much more, but, hey, tell us more about sugar gliders and which nobody's birthday it is, LFF.

Not just that, but wasn't Rob the one guy who knew about it? The SG died a week and a half ago and Oscar and Mike were both a little surprised by Rob too.

Rob professes his love of his own dog, but I know people like him, the kind that will buy a pet to get the admiration of his family, but just let it get a little inconvenient.

Oh, bite me. Here's a tiny clue: you ban, we make new account, we come back, rinse, repeat. Just because the few remaining nitwits who somehow listen to the failcast get all butthurt when reality intrudes doesn't mean that you rule every corner of the internet. So go fuck yourself. The saddest thing about it is that we have been very well behaved, they were the ones who wanted to argue...But none of them took up my offer to come over here and join the discussion in an unmoderated forum...They just wanted to act like tough guys...They certainly don't want even constructive criticisms...They seemed happy just to cover their eyes and ears and hum...

It's because the heyday of Hot Talk radio thrived on the DJ's being dicks. And has been said a million times on this board, they just CAN'T get out of that mindset.

Even if they ARE dicks in real life, (I know which way this board leans on that opinion) they haven't learned that perhaps it isn't what podcast listeners are interested in.

Look at all of the top podcasts, 90% are just straight up honest talks between people who enjoy being there. Even the ones that thrive on ranting...

That is why Cake and Cookies (despite the vitriol this board has for it) is doing better than TMOS.

Oh,
And while I never liked the Sugar Glider conversations, and skipped yesterday's show entirely because I heard it was nothing but, I would like to send my sincere condolences to Pony Boy for the loss of his pet.

It is really hard to lose a pet, no matter what the animal is.

Pony, if by some chance you make it over here, keep your head up and focus on the nice times you had with her. It is always tough and never let anyone diminish the love you had for the cute little fuzzball.

Negativity and O'Meara.

OK...so it's been a week. Has Florida sucked for O'Meara yet?

After the shit with the Sac radio station, Don's show is fresh funny and actually what don and mike might sound like in 2014 if LFF wasn't LFF.
Don understands how to do a show. He is not doing a "radio" show like LFF pretends to. I paid for it for a month, just went for a year. He's on at 3p, not late, and the show has always been more than the advertised 2 hrs. Fri was 2:43. Mon was 2:20.
Tech problems have been worked out,m and it's refreshing to hear shit go wrong and Don not just lose his mind. He said on Fri the sounds we not right and on Mon RJ was there, they said they had rebuilt part of the studio and on Mon, all the sound effect problems they had had were gone. It's just a better show that Mike, if you were a fan of D&M. And Don was killing it when he was playing an old Sally Struthers commercial about starving kids for 70 cents a day and how his podcast was cheaper and more worth the money. Funny shit.

Actually, the fanclub are the best fans of the show... Fake, plastic and a happy veiled appearance, you question Mike/them, they go "Full Mike" in a heartbeat!

They are incredibly loyal, they mold themselves in his mindset...

Kool-Aid is a wee bit too kind when describing them...

Word... I actually can't believe they're making light of one of them dying... he had a ton of affection for them... they knew that! He's obviously not an "on-air personality"... why torture a sweet, quiet guy about his dead pet? #guessidontgetit.

I guess we criticize them for kid gloving a lot of stuff. It was a little tone deaf though. Robb not remembering that a sugar glider died - after it was the single biggest topic on the the show for maybe a month - was fascinating. Can't stop listening haha.

It's not the supplements, Weight Not teaches you how to eat for life. It's so easy, anyone could do it. LFF is just as "F" as ever, how do you stop drinking large quantities of alcohol on a regular basis for months and not lose any appreciable weight?

Weight Not is stupid snake oil. No one can sustain an 800 calorie diet "for life." People who can't be patient or consistent with health choices will never keep weight off, hence why it doesn't work on our beloved addicts.

There is a time tested formula that works every time you stick to it...It's called proper diet and exercise

Did Mike and family really move to a "retirement community", or was that schtick? Are there any other kids nearby? If not, could be kinda lonely for Mike Jr. growing up, surrounded by a bunch of oldsters and no kids to play with.

Carla: It's not a retirement community, per se, except in the sense that it's a community with, surprise, lots of retirees. Mike bought it years ago since it's near a golf course but his body has betrayed him since then. Are you all as sick of the Brimley voice as I am?

I thought the show today was actually, partway, (gasp)enjoyable, excluding the SG segment. With Jimmy yesterday it was ok, but an in studio Kappy seemed to calm Rob quite a bit. Truthfully the guests this week have been amazingly better than the ones from before Mike left DC and they are nobodies, I guess because Mike and Rob aren't trying to show off.

I know Blob, it's all in jest...Curiosity got the best of me on Monday and Lord knows I picked the right day to join their chat room...Then yesterday, during the SG death discussion, Robb afforded me several opportunities to question exactly what kind of person he was to a room full of his defenders...Even Aliece threw in the towel on that one...Today was meh...I did get to poll them when Robb derailed the Pony segment with 2 minutes of Pony themes...It was a push, which was surprising considering I polled his fans...I will try and log in tomorrow for the Birthday segment, other than that, I've about exhausted my curiosity...The best part is logging on around 11 est and waiting for an hour or so and watching the regulars klub anyone who questions the start time or the failcast crews inability and/or lack of follow through with getting the start time out via social media...That, the ability to feed the hand that bites you, is what I find so fascinating... Even the klubbers grouse about it from time to time...

I've listened to the first two Florida shows and I'm sorry but I have to say that it's just not working. The timing is all off. The flow of the conversations from sentence to sentence is too slow and just sounds so unnatural. Sorry but it is what it is.

agreed...Robb has stepped over Mike several times already to interject a line of ocd jackassery when Mike was making an observation...Mikes levels are off...I can't see how it's going to work when Robb stays home too and they turn it into a 3-way fire drill

Fascinating discussion of Marc's handling of their merchandising. Oscar states that they have so much excess inventory that he is surprised that they are still in business. Marc actually might've been a disaster. Maybe the impending showdown over their business manager made it easier for Buzz to roll out.

OK, I never said it was good, just an improvement. I'm not lost, don't worry.

Most of the complaining in the chat is before the show even starts, it seems that the klubbers wait for the Ustream e-mail to go out because they usually don't show up until a few minutes after the start so the people there before the show mostly agree that a consistent start time or an estimated start time somewhere on the internet would be nice. Today was pretty tame because Aliece and Chumly weren't there to defend much of the show.

Can't wait to hear this. Hell yeah he was a disaster. Did they talk again about the Iowa DVDs that never went out? That has only been brought up about 18 times in the last couple of years. Who the hell is going to order from a company that is open about their failure to deliver? So they order this shit that no one would be dumb enough to purchase even if they wanted it anyway. Hence the stupid "Jack Cassidy" contest that hinged on owning the t-shirt. Oh, wait. Were we not supposed to be able to see through that?

Don did the bit with Phantom on KHTK too, but there is something about Buzz reading the unedited lyrics that was just funny. The cussing in general has definitely settled down to the level where it's conversational now, for those that thought the first few shows had too much.
