I don't generally listen to Marc and Lowell's podcast but every now and then I run through everything else and turn it on. The opening of their podcast describes Marc Ronic as "the man who rides the coat tails of his friends and family". I started thinking about how that description is even more true for Oscar. I realize the TMOS podcast was his idea and wouldn't have happened without him, but really, it wouldn't have happened without O'Meara's name attached. I can't imagine the 'Oscar Santana Podcast' would be a financial success. Same thing with BOAD. Sure Oscar is part of the title but the show is 75% Chad. He provides most of the content and dictates the pace. In addition, Chad is still marketable in the radio biz, but Oscar not so much. Tech 411 is the same story. Todd is the expert. It may have been Oscar's idea too, but he basically doesn't know anything more about in depth technology than someone reading a weekly tech article. Todd has eased up lately but in the early shows he made Oscar look like an idiot on a weekly basis. And lastly, he comes from a highly successful family of physicians. He enjoys all the perks of being a relative to people who invite him to exotic locations and pay for it all. Hey I like Oscar and think he is the best part of TMOS, but it seems pretty apparent that he indeed "rides the coat tails of his friends and family". And more power to him.

Mike said that he had a lot of will power, but it was used in different areas, that he just chose to punt on weight loss...This was after he blamed genetics of course...It got me to thinking...Other than his recent stint at sobriety, what are some other feats of will power? He's admitted to colouring his hair and beard in the past. I really think it's a non-issue. You can bust his balls for dying his hair but at least this is one of the few things he's honest about. I remember back on the terrestrial show he left the dye in too long which caused his hair and beard to be jet black. He poked fun at himself because he looked like a magician. This was obviously back when Mike was able to be honest and poke fun at himself.

It wasn't advice. I clarified something that was being discussed from something I remembered being confirmed from an old show. Not sure how you took that as "advice". Again, not sure why you thought that was anything worthy of a snarky response. This isn't me being thin-skinned, I just don't understand where your response came from. As you said, this is a message board. People were trying to figure out if the LFF dyed his hair and I responded that I recall him talking about dying his hair. No big deal.
Did anyone hear Mike on BOAD? It's amazing how much more likeable he is when he isn't in charge of running the show. I don't know why there's such a huge difference. Is it just the stress he feels having to do something he's incapable of (running a show)? Or is it that Robb sucks and they don't have the chemistry that Mike and Chad have? I know it'll never happen, but I'm really curious how much the opinion of the LFF would change if Chad took Rob's job.

So the vignette today. Mike says he had to work hard to get Oscarr and Rob pulled onto TV today, and that he knew he would have to because they weren't mic'ed. Anyone else notice the mic in the picture above?
Edit: A few minutes into the first segment, Oscarr mentions that they did mic Rob up. So I guess it was just Mike "swimming in Lake Me" again since he didn't notice.
