No, the service was fine, He was just mad at the woman that worked there because she told him he'd have to talk to the website he booked through about a refund. Just imagine if she had told him she would be glad to refund the last night as long as he went ahead and paid full price for the other nights.

Still, not a hearty rec for the sponsor. OK, use us to book online but if there's a change, you'll have to call us. I'm sure their call center is amaaaaazing.

I know it said no refunds, but I have an 11 month old and I'm towing a 23 foot Center Console!

Amazed that this podcast is now at 412 pages. Poor Don never got that much attention unless I was on my knees during the middle of one of his cocaine snorting binges.

Who knows how/why Mike quit drinking. I will suggest this, as long as he's calling other drinkers drunks, he hasn't taken any professional or voluntary help. When you learn about an addiction, or if you want, illness, usually a "sponsor" helps you through the tough parts. This in turn allows you to have empathy/compassion for others with the same problems. And you can even help them, and gives a sense of satisfaction, and helps your self stay clean too. ANYONE who's done it knows what I'm talking about. Mike's ego hasn't allowed him to admit he's one of those very drunks, because then he'd have to admit he has a problem to begin with.It's hard to explain, maybe some one can explain it better...either way, the sobriety will never stick unless he addresses the root of his problem.

In reality, they just start hiding it better, managing it so they think others don't know. At some point it will manifest itself in ugly ways and the family will realize the issue was never dealt with in the first place. Odds are the bottles in the liquor cabinet have some water in them now. Odds are when Mike visits JOTT, his buddies cut Mike off at four or five drinks. Carla probably smelled whiskey on Mike's breath last time and got him out of NoVA. This is all a big game of Russian Roulette. We know how that ends.

Yeah and the other poster made a good point earlier. Mike thinks he can do it "for Carla", it just doesn't work that way...And he'll guilt on her, because "he's trying" but if I can't drink this is what you get! Eventually the drunken blow out will happen and Mike will be alone in FLA...

I did hear his actual words…”when you are the type of alcoholic I am” but that puts alcoholism at different levels, indicating some of us are bad, some of us not…..and I’m just a party guy, harmless.

You think Carla took the car to keep him from driving to Charlestown?

The idea that Carla has a baby and had to move from Virginia, leave a NOVA trip early and take the keys away from the car to keep Mike from gambling/drinking is fucking mind-boggling. Being a mother of a young child is hard enough. Trying to do that AND manage an alcoholic spouse is fucking impossible. I give Carla credit for trying, but she should be with a man who supports her at this time, not the other way around.

I posted this when it was a thing, and I'll say it again now: Robb really looked great during the Weight Not time. He never seemed to care about it - even his TMOS/WeightNot ads were the same or less enthusiasm he has for any other ad - but I was happy for him.

I will say this though: the most disappointed I've ever been more disappointed in a show than when I eagerly downloaded my first Robb Radio. Yikes. Ironically, the second place disappointment was the TMOS terrestrial show.

Very amusing when they discussed Tucker Carelson & accused him of barely having a career or being a has been. For a second I thought they were talking about themselves.

And it was nice of Robb to crap all over that relationship. There's a lot of things you can say about Carlson, but not long ago he was a huge rising star in punditry. Would've been a great one time or recurring guest on TMOS. Especially with his contrasting right wing politics. He is/was a regular guest on the stupid Bubba the Love Sponge Show, and was really engaging and interesting. I actually kind of agreed with the factual basis of the statements Robb was making, but damn.

Carlson is great on radio, and is a big enough fan that he asked to be introduced at a steak restaurant. Damn. Wasted potential.

As a miserable sack of shit who never progressed beyond an intern-level position in his industry of choice, Fat Rob has few legitimate accomplishments. He sounded truly proud of his weight loss. I think he gave RJ a hard time when RJ started to rebound a bit. Of course, RJ also HAD FUCKING CANCER. He detailed every aspect of buying new clothes, the shocked reaction from his doctor, coming off his various "I'm too fat to live without medical intervention" medications... I wonder how many he's back on at this point. Besides the CPAP machine of course.

He obviously has an alcohol problem. It sounded like he was keeping it in check during the weight not program. Then we hear about a "few bottles" of wine at night. That's 500+ calories each. Then, the detailed inventory of his refrigerator. Then the Tater-Tot casserole the day after some meal with a side dish of some sort of broccoli-cheese rice thing (200+ calories per serving) . No one should ever eat that. Not Fat Rob, not his kids, not his wife. Then there's what sounds like a daily second breakfast of some type of bagel so he can take his second dump (two breakfasts, two dumps? Seems like a correlation to me...) What made him punt life?

As a fellow political junkie, I would expect Mike to alternate between MSNBC and Fox, just to hear both sides of a discussion. If he did, Mike would know that Tucker appears on a number of Fox programs from time to time.

If Tucker is a big fan of Mike's, why doesn't Mike invite him to the studio for a real political discussion?

BTW, wouldn't you love to see Tucker debate Buzz? My favorite DGS show was when Don schooled Buzz on the minimum wage issue. Buzz couldn't argue because Don is RELM's cash cow.

Anyone else notice that there is not ONE picture of the "crowd" for their ridiclous book signing yankfest? Tucker Carlson used to appear on D&M to promote his cable shows. Even if he still had one, why would he appear on the Failcast? Finally, Carlson co-founded The Daily Caller, which is bankrolled by conservative deep pockets. The idea that Rob, who pretends to be on the radio, has any right to critique Carlson is fucking laughable. Carlson lives in a mansion and sends his kids to private school. Rob gets shit-faced in his townhome "basement" while his wife cries in parking lots.

If there was a crowd, you know they would have posted a photo of it. I'm surprised they didn't do their regular MO of doing the appearance Friday night during a playoff game and claiming all those random people were there for them.

Does anyone remember how many different stories about the bar's closure Mike tried to shop? How can one be a regular listener and not notice some of this weirdness?

This is like a slow motion train wreck. The train has some repairs made to it mid-crash (Rob's temporary/drastic weight loss, Mike's temporary/apparent sobriety) but it is still crashing!
