Don't know, I'm guessing Skype

I'll screw around with some stuff tonight to see what I can bridge, etc

I think I should listen to more O'mearacasts than the LFF did, so 1 should do it

It takes him awhile to get back to me and he said something about schedules which makes me think this is being cleared. I'm sure if it is anybody beyond him and I, it'll just be an ignorant kluber

What is the LPS's WJFK timeline?

199x he is at VCU
199x he gets an internship at wjfk with fellow intern CK
200x he is hired in some capacity in the D&M show
Never gets much mic time, plays the fool for the limited time he gets
2008 is the 3rd chair on TMOS
2009 out of work, did he try to find a job
2010? The failcast starts

When did CK become the boss?

When was the LPS working in the grocery store?

Both comments were snarky? lolscar stating that he can confirm Mike dyes his hair is snarky? Fansince simply disagreeing with a post you made is snarky? Even a regular poster a couple of hours ago said you got snarky with lolscar. So you're wrong. You were being a bitch, again.

I love how much you make fun of Robb but you are very much like him. Try to go one page without posting a picture at the top with Semper Fat written above it. So funny... That's your version of Robb's "he isssss.." or any one of his horrible ocd jokes.

You share Mikes penchant for lying and bending the truth as well as his outbursts at inappropriate times, you share Robb's OCD when it comes to "bits". I'm not Freud, but it sounds like you are very similar to the members of the show that you hate so much. What's that say?

I may start posting here more. Only thing that stops me is I know Peekza will reply to every single one of my posts calling him out and it will derail the thread. That motherfucker single-handedly ruined the BOAD thread by arguing with a troll for PAGES. Guess you also have selfishness in common with Mike and Robb.

Just listening to Monday's show. Why is Mike using a pre-paid hotel service and expecting to get money back? And, then complaining. I mean really? You use those to find a good price and book the hotel directly for the same price. He really is not smart and being cheap always bites his ass.

I haven't been listening to the LFF show lately, but I did catch the riveting Fox D.C. piece the other day. Is Mike going to take this book tour to Iowa City and Sacramento?

Also, I am not much if a computer jock, but where did Mike meet Carla and where did Carla go to college? Carla is lucky to have him.

I thought Mike met Carla at one of his daughter's sleepovers. Also I believe Carla's highest school of learning was: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJeEWCuo9AA

I single-handedly ruined the BOaD thread? Now who's lying/bending the truth...Chad Dukes killed that thread way before any of that...You sound like what you are accusing me of...What would Freud say about that? Post more if you want, but rest assured, I'm not going anywhere, nor am I changing anything for you...Tell me again how moderate you are...and make up your mind, am I Mike or am I Rob? For TMOS' sake, hope it wasn't its new sponsor, Hotel Tonight or whatever the name is (nope, not on TMOS home page yet. Pony's busy). We could have a repeat of the safebackgroundchecks inadvertent sponsor-bashing type fail.

No, the service was fine, He was just mad at the woman that worked there because she told him he'd have to talk to the website he booked through about a refund. Just imagine if she had told him she would be glad to refund the last night as long as he went ahead and paid full price for the other nights.

Okay...when was Mike EVER thin enough to wear that vest without extenders? He's only been riding for 5 years. Did he buy that off of a real biker, like Jimmy? Also, those aren't extenders as much as they are grappling hooks. It's like Evel Knieval jumping the Snake River to get across that chasm of belly fat to link those lines together.

As I pointed out in the BOAD thread, I never said you were Mike or Robb. How many "hi Mike" comments have you made here? You are the only one dumb enough to think they post here. It was painfully obvious the point I was making about you sharing many similarities with the people you hate so much. Throwing in the "Freud" comment should've been a pretty good indication that I was talking about your psychology of hating people that are like you. Not sure how else to explain this to you. I'm sure you still don't understand even though it's not an insanely complicated point I'm making. Even Mike would follow along. But not Peekza.

In LFF's defense, I have no idea how we lost and are progressing (wat?). But then I have zero interest in the World Cup and soccer in general.

Also, I'm listening to Omearacast and Marcus actually is a good host. Definitely not intimidating, so I will be curious to see how jhopkins matches up. I get the feeling that Marcus isn't comfortable with confrontation, so jhopkins has a real opportunity here to take control of the conversation if needed.

Comrade Bob, it's not that different than some NFL playoff tiebreaker situations. It came down to goal differential between US and Portugal.

Top two teams in each group of four advance after round robin of first 3 games based on points given for wins, ties and losses.
US and Portugal tied for second in their group with 4 points. Each won, lost and tied in first round.
US advances since it has better goal differential in those 3 games (scored vs. given up) than Portugal.

Now, teams move on to games where loser is out.

I could have misstated it, but it sounds good, huh? Key to life sometimes is to fake it.

Is Merle a klubber? I ask because for some reason, while we are here discussing the show and how it could be improved, she is going on Marcus' show talking about the multiple ways she steals TV programming.

Isn't Certa in Vermont? Skype, phone call for guests unwilling to drive or fly to him. I'm under impression he has a radio gig up there.

It's over the internet, Marcus lives in VT. the recording is assumed because it is meant for broadcast. No reason to inform that you are also recording. If that's what you were thinking about.

MWEA, I know you're asking re. legality of taping his end of conversation. See Counselor Bubby's post. Counselor, come out, come out, wherever you are!

Clearly, she stole that from LFF. That's his credo.

Bob .... this should help. Advancing is based on three games, not only on today's game. So the US played well enough in Group G -- beating Ghana, drawing with Portugal and losing to Germany -- to advance, despite today's outcome.

Now, back to hating (with vitriol).

Anyone who has had an addiction or has a loved on with an addiction knows what Mike is up to. He hasn't gone through rehab. He hasn't been in a program. He's waiting out Carla. That's why he hasn't gotten rid of the liquor cabinet. That's why he's putting himself in proximity to bars. He's waiting for Carla to say, "Good boy, Mike. Just this one time."

If Carla sticks with her guns, the strategy will change. Mike will become impossible to live with. Maybe he's already in this phase. Everything is a fucking problem. The goal is for Carla to relent and say, "Jesus, Mike. Just have a drink, will ya?"

If neither of these two scenarios happen, Mike will eventually fall off the wagon and find a reason to blame Carla. "Babe, you were just too hard on me!"

Carla, if you are reading this, you might want to bookmark it. You might need it for future reference.

Who knows how/why Mike quit drinking. I will suggest this, as long as he's calling other drinkers drunks, he hasn't taken any professional or voluntary help. When you learn about an addiction, or if you want, illness, usually a "sponsor" helps you through the tough parts. This in turn allows you to have empathy/compassion for others with the same problems. And you can even help them, and gives a sense of satisfaction, and helps your self stay clean too. ANYONE who's done it knows what I'm talking about. Mike's ego hasn't allowed him to admit he's one of those very drunks, because then he'd have to admit he has a problem to begin with. It's hard to explain, maybe some one can explain it better...either way, the sobriety will never stick unless he addresses the root of his problem.

I had a family member who died from addiction. It's a big fucking game to them. Enough shit and threats from family and they "get clean." In reality, they just start hiding it better, managing it so they think others don't know. At some point it will manifest itself in ugly ways and the family will realize the issue was never dealt with in the first place. Odds are the bottles in the liquor cabinet have some water in them now. Odds are when Mike visits JOTT, his buddies cut Mike off at four or five drinks. Carla probably smelled whiskey on Mike's breath last time and got him out of NoVA. This is all a big game of Russian Roulette. We know how that ends.

Yeah and the other poster made a good point earlier. Mike thinks he can do it "for Carla", it just doesn't work that way...And he'll guilt on her, because "he's trying" but if I can't drink this is what you get! Eventually the drunken blow out will happen and Mike will be alone in FLA...
funny how we know these things, you have to live it to know it I guess...

FWIW, I’ll try.
It's called "owning". Accepting that it is your problem exclusively, once you take "ownership,” you can start healing. (That’s what I never heard in the clip, ownership) the subject was talked about vaguely.
I did hear his actual words…”when you are the type of alcoholic I am” but that puts alcoholism at different levels, indicating some of us are bad, some of us not…..and I’m just a party guy, harmless.
In other words I’m not a REAL alcoholic, just reminds me of his first foray about podcasters, I’m still a broadcaster, “I’m not one of you.”

The idea that Carla has a baby and had to move from Virginia, leave a NOVA trip early and take the keys away from the car to keep Mike from gambling/drinking is fucking mind-boggling. Being a mother of a young child is hard enough. Trying to do that AND manage an alcoholic spouse is fucking impossible. I give Carla credit for trying, but she should be with a man who supports her at this time, not the other way around.

And it was nice of Robb to crap all over that relationship. There's a lot of things you can say about Carlson, but not long ago he was a huge rising star in punditry. Would've been a great one time or recurring guest on TMOS. Especially with his contrasting right wing politics. He is/was a regular guest on the stupid Bubba the Love Sponge Show, and was really engaging and interesting. I actually kind of agreed with the factual basis of the statements Robb was making, but damn.

Carlson is great on radio, and is a big enough fan that he asked to be introduced at a steak restaurant. Damn. Wasted potential.

As a miserable sack of shit who never progressed beyond an intern-level position in his industry of choice, Fat Rob has few legitimate accomplishments. He sounded truly proud of his weight loss. I think he gave RJ a hard time when RJ started to rebound a bit. Of course, RJ also HAD FUCKING CANCER. He detailed every aspect of buying new clothes, the shocked reaction from his doctor, coming off his various "I'm too fat to live without medical intervention" medications... I wonder how many he's back on at this point. Besides the CPAP machine of course.

He obviously has an alcohol problem. It sounded like he was keeping it in check during the weight not program. Then we hear about a "few bottles" of wine at night. That's 500+ calories each. Then, the detailed inventory of his refrigerator. Then the Tater-Tot casserole the day after some meal with a side dish of some sort of broccoli-cheese rice thing (200+ calories per serving) . No one should ever eat that. Not Fat Rob, not his kids, not his wife. Then there's what sounds like a daily second breakfast of some type of bagel so he can take his second dump (two breakfasts, two dumps? Seems like a correlation to me...) What made him punt life?

As a fellow political junkie, I would expect Mike to alternate between MSNBC and Fox, just to hear both sides of a discussion. If he did, Mike would know that Tucker appears on a number of Fox programs from time to time.

If Tucker is a big fan of Mike's, why doesn't Mike invite him to the studio for a real political discussion?

BTW, wouldn't you love to see Tucker debate Buzz? My favorite DGS show was when Don schooled Buzz on the minimum wage issue. Buzz couldn't argue because Don is RELM's cash cow.

Tucker Carlson used to appear on D&M to promote his cable shows. Even if he still had one, why would he appear on the Failcast? Finally, Carlson co-founded The Daily Caller, which is bankrolled by conservative deep pockets. The idea that Rob, who pretends to be on the radio, has any right to critique Carlson is fucking laughable. Carlson lives in a mansion and sends his kids to private school. Rob gets shit-faced in his townhome "basement" while his wife cries in parking lots.
