Hey, Mike: it is patently obvious you are using your baby to bring attention to yourself. Pathetic. Additionally, not everyone likes babies -- myself included. If I want to spend time with a needy, clingy creature that shits itself and cries constantly, I will invite my mother-in-law for a visit.

Hi friends. Champ here. I debated trying to listen to the show, but I was curious so I dropped in on the James Garner impression. I was sort of stunned at how bad it was. I mean, I really think I might be able to do a better impression. Ghastly. While this is going on, Robb is HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!! every other second or so while Oscar is teeeheeeeteeeeheeeeteeeeeheeeeeteeeeheeeee every third second.

Honest to Christ I had to drop it right there. I don't know how much more I can take of this shit. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. How can the 'show' go on like this unchanged? How can Robb continue to do that shit? Can anyone please give me a theory?

It's fucking PARANORMAL.

I have tried to help them and offer advice. Here is my new advice: They should all start smoking copious amounts of weed or take up heroin. Perhaps an acid trip? A trip to Brazil for some ayahuasca worship? ANYTHING to take all this WHITENESS away. I've never seen a group so WHITE - AND, YES, THAT MEANS YOU TOO OSCAR! Jesus, you are as white as Al Roker.

This is what happens when white people are encouraged and you fall in love with cops. I'm like Malcolm X compared to these crackers......

There has been absolutely nothing in the last week or so that has been remotely interesting. I'm hoping the Rob family thing is a personal tragedy and I'm going to watch live tomorrow just in case. If it is something like that I can at least have a little fun out of the chat regulars by commenting like Rob does whenever anyone else has a problem. Otherwise I'll punch out early and go back to the show I usually listen to at that time.

Whoever mentioned Garrison Keeler for the James Garner impression was spot on, that was the first name I thought of when I heard Mike start in, I'd be amazed if anyone could find any audio clip of Garner sounding remotely like Mike's professional, practiced impression.

Ha, just really hasn't been a lot worth even hating lately, just kind of pathetic mostly. Really, repeated failed boat trips, lack of attention for the kid, and hating where he's staying. Not exactly riveting or even interesting material. Whenever he heads back to FL we'll get to hear about how truckers need to be regulated and how horrible motels are again. The rut they've been in for a while now only seems to be getting deeper since the Maine trip started.

I still keep up with the show and check in here everyday, I'm just hoping they either end it all or give us something to work with, even the klubbers have to be noticing, they used to have a lot more activity too, so it can't be there is just not as much to dislike. There's just not as much period.

I actually listened to the show yesterday (yes, I need a medal).

Pros:
1) The post production seems better. There are more beds and the "commercial breaks" aren't as noticeable

Cons:

1) The noise floor is crazy

2) The laugh track is unbearable

3) More ads = less content, so maybe this is a pro

I think the LFF is in full "old man mode". He doesn't want any new experiences and hence his life is not very interesting.

OK, here's my theory.

Or should I say my hope.

- Robb got kicked out of the house yesterday and that is why he was out.

- Today he is so devastated that they have not been able to do the show.

One can only hope.

At least SOMETHING interesting would be happening with this shitshow.

Anybody that's still in the TMOS Klub fan page seeing chatter about today? Even though they are late often, they almost always update the listeners on the delay. Not seeing a single thing from anybody today, which is unusual. Something major could be happening. And hey, that might make the show listenable! *Crosses Fingers*

Surely you must realize that this thread favors the bizarro Occam's Razor principle? If there are two or more explanations for something going on with TMOS, we like to propose the more complicated/goofy/outrageous one?

Except for laziness being the explanation for most of LFF's and the TMOS podcast's failures. There, that's simple for ya.

And in typical lame Mike fashion, when he discovers that there are ants in his vacation rental, he doesn't just spend 4 bucks on a can of Raid and put up with it for a few days like a normal person, he has to spend a huge chunk of his son's first birthday arranging to have an exterminator come to the house. Brilliant.

Slogging through today's show...

Opening 'vignette' was bitching about the technical delay, and something about Oscar being at the studio until late yesterday... or something. I drifted off. It was an unfocused, opaque time waster.

Alert for Friday: LFF will be doing 'a modified Bill O'Reilly' for some reason or another.

Can't skip the letters and birthdays... start your watches. Begins ~13 minutes in. Blah blah blah

And the solution, between the infestation and the plumbing issues, is for the family to sequester themselves in the few non-leaky, bug free rooms for the rest of their vacation (which LFF yesterday nonchalantly mentioned would be cut short by a couple days).

Holy fucking shit.

Letters and birthdays go for 14 minutes, giving us 27 content free minutes.

LFF ends letters and tells Headd to start the show. Headd replies "We already have", to which LFF of course replies "Oh, ok, time for a break".

I believe I may be close to needing rehab for listening to this day after day

I think the time investment by LFF was exaggerated. It seemed like the big inconvenience was making a few phone calls, I'm not sure how long it could take to tell the owner there's a leak and bugs. Even scheduling a plumber and exterminator wouldn't take more than 10 minutes. Of course being an ass to his wife took some time, but that probably happens even without ants and a leaky drain.

O'Meara is incapable of solving the most simple daily life challenges. Any regular person would do just that, spray the critters with over the counter bug spray. And here's a clue, once you spray, don't let the baby crawl there. The baby is a convenient excuse to not deal with it. God he must have lived an entitled, privileged, little lord life to become what we see today. He can't even break down cardboard boxes to fit into the garbage can. What a loser.

So, from Thursday's show, Fuckwaddle was growed up in a cold distant New England puritanical family (or maybe that was just your father, did that ever occur to you?) and he's "reconnected" with his sister, whom he spied on nude when he was a boy by drilling a hole in her shower and saying it was to spy on her friend. Right.

Oscar has done several 14 mile rides. Good for him. That's not earth-shattering, but it's a manly distance for a new rider. The hill up Wisconsin Ave. is longer than one would want but totally manageable. Fuckwaddle couldn't walk up it.

I'm wondering if Korsakoff's Syndrome has already settled in because Fuckwaddle couldn't manage to remember basic things about his guests' degree programs long enough to do an interview. There's no shame in taking notes, FDB.

As the renter in a vacation home, why is FDB on the hook for dealing with the exterminator? Something's not kosher.

Of course they're leaving early. To avoid trailer costs.

Did we get an explanation of what went wrong with Fatt Rob yesterday?

And yes the James Garner impression sucked major ass, then Fuckwaddle derailed an interesting bit about how to do an Elmer Fudd impression because the guy doing it wasn't Mel Blanc. This fat load is less entertaining (and much more bitter) than Rich Little. Three Canadian hunters...

Today is the day Mike's impressions officially died. He can still occasionally do a decent voice, but his celebrity imitations all sound like Mike. It was rough.

Is it me or has the sound sucked since Maine started?

It is just a bitchfest by Mike everyday? At least they got away from his politics in the bonus shows.

The best bonus was last week. They tape Thursday and the plane was just went down in the Ukraine. Reports started coming in during the show that it was shot down. Mike was going off about media speculation with his lap dog Robb agreeing 100% (Does he ever disagree???). When it aired the next day, Mike was 100% wrong.

Life has changed. Little boat. Shitty SUV. Really shitty vacation rental. Raising a boy in a retirement community in FLA. Waiting on Social Security to help make ends meet.

And from the birthday segment...Rob, what in the fuck is "reverse technology"? Would you use it to trick someone into listening to a segment they didn't really want to hear?

I assume the extended O'Meara family owns these collection of vacation homes and they have an arrangement in which those who use them pay. He's bitten his tongue several times re. the "landlord" issue, which suggests he doesn't want to publicly bitch about his cousins, uncles, aunts, sister, etc.

Anthony Cumia (of Opie & Anthony) has just announced that he will be interviewed on Big O & Dukes tonight.

Should be interesting!

Was just listening to Anthony Cumia doing a live test for his new podcast on his website. He was reading a list of upcoming appearances to promote his new show. Tonight he will be on the Big O and Dukes Show! I wonder if Mike knows yet?!?

Yep, I'm going to check it out just to hear how O&D's attitude about subscription podcasts change when it's someone they are actually talking to, instead of just about, like when Don started his.

40,000 downloads a day would mean they hit a new million milestone every 25 days. What are they currently advertising as their total downloads?

I think it may have gone like this:

"Please, please E-Rock, tell Anthony I have my own FM show I can promote him on too! I love the idea of a live subscription only podcast and know Anthony is the innovator of this amazing new business model."

Similar to the way he treats Mike, whenever they talk you'd think Mike invented the idea of podcasting.

Gosh where do I start? First, when I we get ants, I just follow their little trail and find where they come in then you take a brush or paper towel and put a healthy bit of ordinary dish liquid soap and you wipe the trail up leaving a lite film behind. Pretty non toxic and the film dries after a while so you don't even know it's there, but the ants do. Usually works.
Second, poor Carla, 5-6 years ago she had a real bread winning man, now an old fart who freaks out over ants(!). She's just got to be hanging by a thread.
Third, look to the Eastern Seaboard tonight during BOAD pod to witness a meteor shower of suitcases and pock chops. Oh and I will tune in tomorrow because Mike will not be able to contain his jealousy of O5carHead and it will manifest as a seething boiling North Atlantic under current. Did I miss anything? I probably did but you guys can add in. Oh and subscription pods aren't bad idea, Don is up to like 3000+maybe more, now so do the math...rightious bucks...

I watched the Anthony interview tonight and it was made pretty clear that Oscar was the force behind getting him on the show. Mike probably won't be mad about Oscar not getting him on TMOS, it will be that they had anything to do with him in the first place, remember, just a couple months ago Mike talked about how he still couldn't forgive O&A for having a radio war with them.

What I can't figure or about the Maine trip is this: Mike's family has homes there including the house they stayed in while everyone was there. Why then did he have to go and rent a "cottage" for the remainder of his trip? Does his family dislike him so much that they wouldn't allow him to stay in the family home for the balance of his trip? Not to mention that most people would welcome their siblings to stay with them for short periods if there wasn't good reason not to.

I think it was another family members turn to use the house. I remember mike mentioning that they use it like a timeshare.

If you ever watch the video stream, it is astounding how many times Robb looks over at oscar for approval. The best part is that Oscar is usually browsing and not paying attention.

Just 10 more of the 79 minutes that doesn't take any prep and therefore is easiest to do. I'm sure if they had cameras on the audience, most would have the same look as Oscar.

Because that's how you maintain a dedicated audience...constantly fucking with the start times...
