yeah, the doesn't even make me angry anymore...it doesn't do anything to me at all anymore. I think it's because they don't DO anything...there's no reason to listen to people who go any where even less than I do...and they just went to Maine!!! Maybe this is it...since Mike moved, they sound more like 3 doods on the phone talking about boring shit. There's none of the friction of being in Mike's livingroom. It's not a show, it's a 3 way conference call...

I think you've got it right Tatrz, it's hardly worth hating. Pretty bad when I think the best show of the week was Thursday until Mike forced himself into the show. With Mike traveling and Chad on vacation, I think Oscar can actually first chair a show. The cackling was minimized on TMOS, and BOAD was pretty good too.
Maybe being back in Florida will give Mike something interesting to talk about. Who am I kidding? It's going to be at least two shows of crappy motels and how "they" should do something to control those truck drivers. Really, Mike was surprised to see a double trailer? Head out west Mike, you could get a whole week's material out of the triples that are legal in some states.

The apathy is what saddens me the most...I know the book "humanized" them to a degree that some felt more sympathetic than vitriolic...or is it the realization that Mike/Rob will do some iteration of this show until the lid slams on the coffin? The realization that those two fat fucks will persevere by shear will of suck for all perpetuity? Will an utter lack of viable options outlast us all? Fuck me...It just might...

TMOS has actually achieved Seinfeld's show about "nothing" with the Failcast. Let's be honest, Mike has given up everything but the pretense that there is actually show prep being done. As a result, the shows are just Mike bitching about his most recent interaction with the public and anyone he perceives as more privileged than him.
Hell, they should just strap him into an appliance dolly with a wireless mike and roll him around town and let him bitch about everything he sees. It would more entertaining than the show is now.

I originally found about this forum after listening to Mike Omeara complain about it and most recently about the posting of arrest records. I read through many of the posts and thought most of it was petty and self congratulatory glib and cruel. However I must say that the quality of the entertainment is just gotten so poor I have to hope that either Mike or one of his crew will read this and do something about it. I have been a fan of Don and Mike and all of the shows thereafter since the mid 1980s. I can recall parallels in my life to that of Mike and his crew and I enjoyed the daily dialogue for many years. I found out about the podcast one month after it started, by chance and have listened daily since then. For a long time I paid for the bonus content and went to the events but for the past 18 months or so the show is just not entertaining as it once was. The amount of discussion and witty humor dropped off when some of the team departed and the panel discussion of the show dwindled. The produced content stopped and now it seems like just a daily update of the minutia in mostly Mikes life. the occasional highlight of other people is a nice change of pace but please folks, why not take some pride in the attention you are getting from the audience and live up to your end of the deal. Change happens but I feel this show is now stalled in this pattern of generating enough affiliate revenue to afford the team some income. Listening to the podcast back in 2010-11 reveals some content and energy that isn't found in it anymore. I am not trying to be critical but I am pleading for the TMOS team to step up to the plate and give us more entertainment. I don't care about the details of your recording equipment or the constant updates on the frustrations of being in your mid 50s. I live that life myself. Talk about opinions, funny events in the world, occasional political, ethical and religious issues. Mix it up with some funny stuff like the game shows or contests. Please just get the show back on track and repair the damage that was done in the past by bringing in some more engaging people. Listening to the interns chuckle in the background is horrible and a weak attempt to add more flavor to the crew. why not bring another cast member on or have more guests like Tony or perhaps Chad or anyone that is interesting. I have this habit of downloading the show everyday and I hope it will be worth the investment of my time but it really isn't. Yes, I can go listen to some other show and I do. But just like quitting smoking, I will quit the habit of listening to TMOS and I will always hope that someday the news will say that it is now ok to return to it.

It can't be a hiatus if it doesn't have an end point. He's proved to Carla he can do it, even in the face of her considerable drinking. Now it's her turn to give it up. For a bit. They can alternate. For all we know, that's their plan.

It's apparent TMOS will continue until Mike keels over from a stroke or heart attack. Mike won't quit, because quitting would require him to look for a real job (at least until retirement kicks in). Oscar won't quit because that would require confrontation, which appears to terrify Oscar. Finally, Rob won't quit because he is fucking pathetic. When he lost the WJFK gig, instead of pounding the pavement looking for a job like a real man he curled up with a bottle and let Cary shoulder the fucking burden. What a pathetic piece of shit.

I work 2 blocks from their DC studio.

The odds on Oscar's bike getting stolen are so low it is hilarious.

On the first floor of their building is a Starbucks, with exterior seating, that is packed from 7am to 7pm.

Next door is a CVS on one side and apartments on the other. Behind the building is mid to high end historic residential.

Across the street is an Einstein Bagel, Hardware store, restaurants and a Whole Foods.

There is usually at least one panhandler near the CVS...and we are talking down and out crazy panhandlers, not criminal masterminds biding their time.

Him refusing to lock his bike downstairs unguarded is one of the douchiest things he has ever done.

Glover Park is literally about as far from the hard streets of SE DC as you can get without leaving the city.

The Vice President technically lives in Glover Park for god sake.

I've popped into this forum from time to time, just to shake my head, and move on.

But, really, at this point, do you guys know how pathetic this stuff looks? I know you've probably fielded this question before, but really... What the fuck compels you guys to listen to a show -- and clearly you guys listen, because you're complaints relate directly to very recent content -- that you apparently hate?

It's not even on the radio anymore, so you can't make an argument about being forced to listen to it, because it's the only channel you can listen to at work (or whatever dubious, lame ass rationale I've seen used before.)

You have to go OUT OF YOUR WAY to listen to this show. It's the rough equivalent of asking someone to rake their finger nails across a chalkboard, and then hopping online to describe the experience. Over and over and over again.

You guys are fucking weird.

Yeah, I'd say the time commitment is roughly the same. Good point.

Ronick quoting himself in the third person was the best part. Say what you want about LFF, LPS, and the rest, they do better than the RELM network any day.

Don was PISSED at marc for not being able to hold up his end. Technically, mostly, I think.

Buzz's connection was unuseable, for instance.

Now buzz will not be a part of it at all.

I never listened to one Geronimo episode. They should have given the first week free as a teaser, but from what I heard tuning in online to his Sacto show, I could tell it would be shit. Same old bits, same old stories, but with even more cigar-fucked, broken-glass-gargling voice.

Yeah, pretty boring, same old stories. Didn't do much for me.

I bet Marc, Lowell and Buzz are devastated. (though they are going the high road with "congrats" messages.)

Gogan is my favorite artist of all time. I can't believe my good fortune; I've been able for some reason to locate and buy many of his original works and have them proudly displayed.

What is Ronicks side gig with Quench? Its Sad He worshipped LLF and Blob, that probably why his marrige fell apart and why hes living at home with his parents. At lease Lowell has a real job but really neither of the twatwaffles are broadcasters.

(side rant)Hell Scott Shannon got another job in radio after being fired/stepping down. What had Blob done...nothing letting his wife bring home the bacon. Slow Joe Got a job in radio after being fired. Goes to show these guys are hacks.

Do you not remember the Quench appearances? Did you think Marc was doing them for free? Did you think Mike knew Marc was getting paid? The lawyer that Mike "consulted" about cutting Buzz out of his cut of the RAW shows mentioned the Quench promos and the fee to Mike and he shit a brick...That's when Marc became a "consultant"

These are ridiculous questions that assume a lot, right? This was never discussed on the show, and we have no evidence of any sort, right?

There is proof of Marc being a substandard money manager, from TMOS statements to Lowell statements.

Geronimo solo will not last. As much as I loved the D&M show a decade ago DG has snapped (understandably). He can still blabber into a microphone but he can handle all the tedious, behind-the-scenes details on his own.

There's zero chance of a reconciliation between him and TMOS, I doubt Adam Carolla or Ear Wolf or some other podcast network would have him. He'll probably stumble around doing Ustream, then when it gets hard he'll find a reason to drop it entirely. Then, six months from now there will be a post about DG appearing in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma between Billy-Bob's Bible Hotline and Radio-Tradio. Then two weeks after they will part ways.

Headd sticks a shiv in irony...

Later on, in reassuring LFF about his daughter's trip to NoLA, Headd compliments LFF on his 19 years of top notch parenting. Almost makes you think they've _always_ done the show from different places.

My view on Don:

1. Doesn't like management/support personnel EVER.

2. Can't or doesn't want to handle behind the scenes stuff himself.

These 2 things don't exist together very well.

Implosion.

from the Facebook thread on Don's announcement, Mike Shkor in the course of 2 paragraphs is first a TMOS syncophant and then wobbles a bit in his total dedication to all things TMOS:

" If Don's having personal issues, I don't want to bash him. But, I will say that Mike and Robb were always my favorite, and the show is freaking perfect as it is now.

...I always wonder if the name of Mike's segment "News you may not need", is a dig at Buzz, and the fact that the show doesn't even need a news segment (but I guess it fills time).

Fuck.
Just now listening to the beginning of Monday's show. Fucking Rob is such a piece of shit. They're talking to Mac, when someone asks a question that fat fuck Rob has to interrupt and interject some bullshit additional question, then they mock the shit out of Mac because it's fucking confusing to figure out what the hell they actually want him to answer. Then Rob piles on and talks about how he's a professional broadcaster. Hey Rob you DOUCHE, a professional broadcaster learns to keep his mouth shut when other people are talking and not walk all over everyone.

Damn it to hell, I want that waste of skin to just die. He's the single most annoying cock to ever sit at a mic.
