It amazes me that no one's ever said that before. Thanks for straightening us out.

But where else could we get 3 razorblades [for a 4 blade cartridge] for 15 dollars?

Yes. It's so funny how they pretend like it's some huge mystery in order to create excitement in a non-exciting show.

The Vice President's mansion is not in Glover Park, and there are no historic buildings in Glover Park.

If Oscar wanted to stop fagging it up, he could lock his front wheel to the frame. Any street Negro with half a heart surely will tell you my friend.

Robert Ford was in the chatroom today, but he wouldn't answer questions about their lack of social media alerts when they are running late/have tech issues even though they had plenty enough interns to guard Oscar's bike...He logged out shortly thereafter...At least he's not stupid enough to say he doesn't know like Mac did...

At this point, Mike could announce a D&M reunion and nobody would give a shit. All of these assholes have done a great job of driving their former legacy into the ground. I am not really surprised that Don left Relm. Marc is such a bullshitter and wants to be famous more than anybody I have seen, plus he a fucking Jew and they killed my Christ. Despite what I had hoped, Don's show isn't great, it's just ok. Lots of repetition plus a ton of repetition. Not a lot of new content, he does some really shitty impressions of Zimbabwe Bill and that Crisley guy. Plus there is a lt of repetition. He has gone the way of TMOS. They were better together than apart. Don needs the conflict, he needs a pd to get pissed at. It was content for him. He needs a producer to yell at. Mike needs somebody to sit in the captain's chair, LFF is a copilot at best.

On a brighter note, I would totally stick in Cary's shit box.

Well, here's an excerpt:

Why, if you hate the show, do you listen?
Most listeners were fans of D&M. We remember the great shows, bits, and comedy that came from it. I don’t think you can classify any group of people with one word, like haters, just like in reality I don’t think every Fan Club member is a kool-aid drinker following their Dear Leader, but we call them klubbers just the same. Just because a person doesn’t like something on the show doesn’t mean they hate the show. When did they start promo-ing other network shows? Just a few weeks ago and everyone is liking that. It has been a topic for months on the thread, and one of the things that when asked in the fan club would get deleted and the user banned. It happened. How about the birthday segment? It's also long been a topic of discussion at FFXU. Mike had sounded tired of the trained monkey act for quite a while before he decided to change it and if he wasn't enjoying it how could anyone listening?
FFXU adds to TMOS downloads. Who cares why we listen? We listen. Not all of us, clearly, but more than would otherwise. Bottom line? We add to TMOS’ bottom line.

Always good when another Bad Samaritan drops by to tell us that we shouldn't pay attention to the failcast.

OWS handled it perfectly.

Donnie G's show is still listenable.

The failcast ain't.

And I don't even know WHAT to say about the dope on the MOMS fan board who posted that he never liked Don on the old show, that he was always a fan of Rob(b) and LFF. Once upon a time, LFF had some talent. Not so with Rob(b); he was nothing then, and he's nothing now.

Technically true on both counts.
But the actual park called "Glover Park" shares a border with the Observatory, which is where the VP mansion is.

And while the houses behind their studio are not "historic" meaning the 1700's, they are turn of the century era, well established and well maintained homes, as opposed to run-down slums.

I clearly used some embellishment to make my point, but it doesn't make his reluctance to use a Kryptonite lock any less self-important and rediculous.

The only thing that could save this show is to bring on Tom Gavin as co-host. Take the mic away from Headd. Fire Oscar. Headd could run the board. He could also make occasional, barely heard comments from the corner of the room. He is funniest when he is mad and abused. Well, actually he is ONLY funny when he is mad and abused. I might also consider a 'Sports Update' section where Headd is allowed on mic to discuss 'sports games that men do.' That would be highly amusing.

You know what, that was an interesting and informative read (not being sarcastic.) Thanks for sharing.

You guys are still fucking weird... But I understand (sort of) the entertainment value for the group after reading that.

One thing I wholeheartedly agree with: It bugs the shit out of me that he/they won't get into what happened with Marc and Lowell. Buzz put his cards on the table by resigning, unresigning and resigning again. Even though I'm sure there's more backstory, you'd have to be pretty tense to not understand he was tired of the show/Mike and wanted to do his own thing. But with M/L, there's clearly shit that went down that is beyond their desire to form RELM.

And to write a book about the show and not get into the fall of D&M... Let's just say I didn't buy the book and a big part of the reason is the fact that it pretty much zooms past that subject.

Ok, but... carry on.

And I recognize you don't need my permission to "carry on." Just a generic dismount.

I think we should have some "FFXU Strong" bracelets made up to distribute to posters and mailed directly to the TMOS krewe. You could also use "Failstrong"

You know the show will have technical problems when the Crack Mayor of Toronto is doing tech support on the side for TMOS.

So my curiosity was piqued with the potential ballbust. I FF'd to about 54:00. My God, what a snoozefest. Tell us more, Mike, about your gasstroenterologist [sic]. It's so fascinating. Just admit you have IBS instead of dancing around the problem. That would be slightly humorous. We all know your guts have been ravaged by alcohol.

We do learn that we should add airline pilot and well-educated doctor to the list of professionals you envy and would fellate if given the chance. So that's: cops, doctors, airline pilots, soldiers, and truckers. Wait, that's single-trailer truckers only, right?

Another gem: "If it's not funny, then so be it." —Mike regarding TMOS of late. That explains everything.

Yet another gem: "I wish you all the success, Mike, and I hope I am not the one to screw it up." —Fatt Rob on TMOS's future outlook. Too late, LPS, too late.

Thanks for posting the link II, I was trying to get it on every page but with the borefest the last couple weeks I haven't even posted every page. I'm a little behind this week and am just now listening to Monday's show. These are some of the halfway interesting fails/inconsistent remarks Mike has made about his trip so far:

1. Mike's boat grew while it was in Maine, when it left FL it was 23 feet an on the trip back it's 24 feet.
2. The boat weighs 4500 pounds while Mike's Audi is only rated for 4400 pounds, way to drive safe Mike! Complain some more about those truck drivers that would lose their licenses for hauling overweight like you did. The limits are the for a reason, they aren't recommendations.
3. A fifth wheel is a part of either a tractor or a pickup truck, not a trailer, I think Mike was referring to the tongue wheel on his trailer, which on most modern trailers are made to fold up so you don't run into the railroad problem Mike had. Oh, and how about the great AWD on the Audi, front wheels won't pull when the rear wheels lose traction? Our spare car, a 98 Subaru, doesn't have that problem. Maybe Mike should take a look at the owners manual to learn what that traction control button does.

Don's break will give me a chance to catch up with the rest of the weeks shows tomorrow. In all honesty, I think Don's podcast actually helps reduce the VH toward TMOS, I know I don't pay nearly as much attention to the failures of the show when I have something better to listen to in the mornings.

4. From the news: Mike thinks that cops that can't tell the difference between a doll and an actual child shouldn't have to pay for breaking a window to save a doll. Rob started out saying it's reasonable for the cops to pay for the damage until Mike says they shouldn't be. Typical of both, it's the cop-Mike-Rob daisy chain in action.

I hate to do this, but in the LFF's defense...

There is a lot of debate around GTWR and GVWR and safety margins. I'd assume that being german, Audi is conservative and erroring on the side of caution / "over designed", so the LFF towing a "too heavy" boat + trailer prob isn't that bad.

I assume the trailer has brakes and he (somebody else) connected them correctly.

I listened to the newest BOAD this evening, and while I'm usually somewhat entertained by it, I was really glad this was a short episode. Fuck, between the endless superhero movie talk, wrestling talk, and wrestler-in-superhero-movie talk, I thought I was in some 17 year old's basement, smoking bongs and listening to AC/DC. I know these are common topics, but they don't usually hit them all so relentlessly in a single episode. Ponderous, man, fucking ponderous.

Oh, and to those who told me to give Rob & Joe more time, thanks, because they are growing on me. Less 'Life as a Stand up Comic' and more funny guys being funny.

Some gems from today's show?
Around the 46 minute mark, Mike lamenting the fact that they didn't have enough time to get to some more of Tony and Gary's stories/lingo...Moments before he told us about his wonderful trip to the butt doctor...and poorly read the news we don't need...
His bizarre peptalks
"I'm very very proud of what we've put together ah,ya know we've we've done it slowly and uh who knows what ah will pop up on the network next, but we don't take it lightly, we actually pay attention to it and ah you know we want the shows to be good and uh a lot of people have mentioned Mickey coming back, hopefully with new shows, but to be honest with you folks, we put them up on the network not necessarily because we know when the contents gonna be delivered or how it's gonna be delivered. We put them on because of the talent level. And the talent level of a guy like Mickey, ya know, I'm not my brother's keeper with Mickey, but the fact is, I love the guy, I think he's incredibly funny, and I know he's great on the podcast"
After being informed by Oscar the Mickey had "taken the Summer Off" and planned to be back by the fall, Mike suddenly Spewacks and says
" Alright, and you know what? We support Mickey 1000%, you tell him if he doesn't produce a show ah in the fall, he's off the network.Thank You. That's it."

Well my point was that whether or not the vehicle is capable of it, Mike was berating pretty much every truck he saw on his trip. Tractor trailers are capable of a lot more than they are allowed, in my state the largest overweight ticket ever issued was for a single trailer with a total gross weight of around 186,000 pounds, the tractor was obviously capable of hauling it because he was doing it, that doesn't mean it was safe. Even 100 pounds overweight well get a driver a hefty ticket and if the officer is in a bad enough mood the truck won't be allowed to move until the weight problem is fixed.
The safety margins are there so that morons like Mike don't die when they ignore them, that doesn't make it safe. Obviously a person who ignores the safe towing rating shouldn't be towing anything to begin with, because what other safety priorities is he ignoring. One was that he didn't even have mirrors that allowed him to see around the boat. How safe is that for a 1600 mile trip?

Agree totally, hands down the best program in the family. Also I wish they'd bring Rob and/or Joe in more often. The TMOS program about a month ago where Rob & Joe stopped by and they ragged on Joe for having a real job on the side (driver safety guy) was very VERY funny -- and dripping with irony every time LPS opened his fat mouth.

Anyway, Mr. O'Meara, if you read this bump Robb down to intern. He's gotten fat, lazy, happy, and is just coasting and not contributing and needs to spend some time guarding Oscar's bike. Bring Rob and Joe on full time.

LFF asks Perkins and Stein to comment on Charlie Gibson, Spencer Christian and Diane Sawyer from their time on GMA together. Stein, as he stated minutes earlier, was a GMA producer.

LFF then asks Stein if he'd ever "bumped into" those people.

I've been down a few internet message board rabbit holes in my life. Pot, kettle and all that.

Honestly, that FAQ is tremendously helpful, because on the face of it, what's going on in this thread is head-scratch inducing.

But understanding what motivates the participation is key. If you're ENTERTAINED, even if it's primarily through interacting on this board, I totally understand it.

Oh, you guys talk BOAD in here? I actually buy reloaded (not the TMOS bonus show, which I think says something.)

I could not agree more on this point. To the extent that I'll fast forward through entire shows if they don't move off wrestling, comic books, TV shows I don't watch and movies I haven't and probably won't see. And it bums me out, because I look forward to that show.

(If folks are looking for podcasts, try The Crabfeast with Jay Larson and Ryan Sickler... They consistently crush it. This week's episode with a comedian named Ms. Pat will have you crying. Sickler's laugh might bug some of you, but unlike Oscar's forced high pitch, this guy only laughs when something is truly funny.)

Duly noted.

(I was a "faithful" MandL listener, until they split off. Tried to listen to them on RELM but I realized I was really not all that interested in them once they left they left the TMOS universe.

I was never a fan of Buzz, so the only episode I listened to of his was the interview with Don.

I'm seeing some of you guys say good things about R&J, which surprises me... I'll have to check them out. I'm also intrigued by TP's show... those are two pros, which is a HUGE plus going in.)

I'll reiterate my open invitation for smart, funny TMOS fans to come on here and discuss the show. Good and bad. I definitely want to hear your side, and not with some stereotypical BS argument attached.
