After Chad's numbers come in for a few quarters, he won't be part of WJFK.

I'm not "jelly" of Chad. He isn't smart, he abuses his audience, and he doesn't really know sports. He is the cheapest person WJFK can put in that slot until they find somebody better.

I assume you're addressing this to all readers of this thread, of which you are apparently one (in addition to Fan Club members, O&D fans, etc.), so I'm not sure your audience is well targeted.

Can you explain why Chad's fans, TMOS Fan Club members, random perusers of the internet such as yourself, and miscellaneous non-radio professionals would be jealous of Chad's success? Good for Chad. What's wrong with you, though?

[Edit: and, of course, what JHops said.]

The most wonderful thing about Chad is that he is a content creator. Unfortunately for him, he creates content almost nobody cares about.

Chad: "Hi, I'm in my 30's and I watch WWE, please listen to my podcast / radio show about WWE." "No, well fuck you all don't know what you are missing>"

Chad: "Hi, please listen to my show about BBQ and beer, but I'll highlight shitty beer and bad BBQ" ...

Chad: "Hi, please listen to my show about my friends. I'm trying to get a Howard Stren whack-pack thing going here, but none of them are porn stars / crackheads and every problem in their life would be solved by having normal human interaction" "Oh, if you don't keep up with the 57 different nicknames I give them all, well fuck you"

Chad is delusional about his ability and the content he creates. He is an asshole and that goes so far and it works better when there is a "nice guy" to temper it, which is why his solo show will fail.

The content that he creates and the subjects he is interested in just simply doesn't have a wide audience.

Chad is a case of "there is nothing there, there". He is 2.5 stars, he used to be funny but lately he hasn't been turning in good work.

You truly are retarded, aren't you? This thread isn't about Chad. A lot of the people on here know nothing about him/could not care less about him. What made you come on this thread and post something about someone that is rarely mentioned on this thread and then claim everyone must be jealous? I'm fucking seriously asking you that. I'm trying to understand your stupidity.

LPS is a mystery to me. People like him don't really exist in my world, other than security / JPAS ladies.

Sure, I understand that he is dumb and lazy and that he eats his feelings. I got that.

But, how does he not want a better life for his kids? No chance that his family is putting away 529 for his kids.

Why doesn't he go back to Giant and use that to help pay for his kids' college?

Bringing it back to his FB feed, clearly that must be what motivates him. Posting some dumb shit and getting "likes" is worth more to him than getting a job and working for his family? AKA spend less time on FB and more time punching the clock

LPS is really the worst person on TMOS. Likely he could be a board op for some POS station in DMC and still do the failcast.

Also, so based on Adam's number, I'm going to make a wild ass guess...

$300k is what Adam's podcast only revenue was before he was in the black. He claims that he can get $5k per live read. CBS paid for most of the sunk costs (and Adam built the studio himself, swing that hammer).

Let's assume that the LFF paid for the sunk costs (Kappy paid him back later), we have reason to believe this from the book.

Let's assume 15k / day DLs

Let's assume a high conversation rate due to the FB friends: LPS, LFF...

I think they are making around $200k / year. The lion share coming from paid subs and the rest ads. I'd guess the LFF is getting 50% and O and LPS 25% each

The biggest factor in Chad's continued employment is that the PD of JFK is a former JFK intern. He inherited the Junkies and doesn't have a single consistent show in any other time slot. The fact that corporate CBS hasn't flipped the station 5 times already is an indication of how lame radio is now, and how far the bar has fallen. You just have to not suck enough to get fired.

Cary: As his Mobbers know, Robb was a cashier at Safeway. I've inquired; Safeway would not take him back in that or any position involving contact with the public, and manual labor is clearly out. With his work experience and qualifications, there's no job there for him. I was told even a cart-wrangler was a no-go.

I'm looking into something in community theater for him.

A few years ago I went to a live appearance and asked LPS a sincere question. He brayed a loud sarcastic answer back at me, with a smug look on his face. He was such a jerk that I recoiled. Probably because I'm female. The schtick of yelling "whore" at women for years took root. Anyway, screw him.

Yep. LFF worked hard to get fired from WJFK.

He worked hard to get fired from the Edge.

He worked hard to gamble away/waste so much money that he had to sell his house in Va. and move to Fla.

Yeah...He was out of the loop before technologically even before TMOS went off the air....That's why Kayie Von Shrekface had to run the commercials....Robbbbb was unfamiliar with digital, and that was over 5 years ago...Can't imagine how far behind he is now...If he want's to stay in "broadcasting" he better stick to the ground floor of his townhouse

Ok what if time...

LFF drops dead today. What happens to TMOS? LPS? Oscar?

LPS will want to continue podcasting, but can he use the TMOS name? He'd be worried that the klub won't be smart enough to understand that TMOS became the LPS shitcock hour. But, he'd have to have his name in the title. He'd podcast to a few thousand people and maybe do a npr $ drive like thing.

Oscar would walk away before the LFF's body hit the floor

351 books has to hurt the LFF.

I'm sure he spent hours with the author and Oscar sold him on the "make $ on the kindle store" and the LFF must have had ideas of selling ten thousand copies.

Selling 2.5% of your fan base a book has to show him how far he has fallen

I would still disagree with JHops because as I posted early, statistically 100% of their audience began listening in 2008 or earlier so everyone should know CAT is a gag, and anyone who buys into it as a real event is an idiot ...

... but if they're calling the theoretically genuine Reno event CAT 2014, they're confusing their own joke. So is the Reno show bullshit? Are they going to cancel it at the last minute? Is it a giant fake-out? If it's real and they go back to schtick-CAT next year, lots of people really *will* buy in and be pissed off.

Holy Shit! In the entire history of TMOS, the only self-admitted failure has been CAT. Yet, here LFF is again, embracing this failure, as if it were genius. Even though he, himself, called it out as a failure the first time out.

Face it, Mike. Podcasting for you is a massive fucking failure. Buzz can't make it work. Don, who is smarter and more talented than you, can't make it work. Hell, Chad can't make it work! Mike, nobody gives a flying fuck about your podcast. You barley made $40k in your best year. God only knows what you are making now.

Give it up, Mike. You fucking FAILED!!!

The continuing inability of the RELM network to recognize that guys who were 2nd and 3rd chairs on others shows can't carry their OWN shows, even when you arrange the deck chairs in different formations.

18 shows, my ass. 18 turds are still 18 turds.

I think no liver is better than Spewakk's liver. With the cocktail of keep-alive drugs that man has to take (in his early 40s no less?!?!?) ... nope. Any would-be recipient is as good as dead.

I mean this with 100% sincerity, Spewakk is completely unemployable. There is nothing he is good at, except being the butt of a reasonably normal person's (LFF or Santana) joke.

He can't cook and has no taste in food. Tater-tot casserole? That's literally the trashiest thing I've ever heard -- right up there with celery sticks filled with squeeze cheese. Rules out McDonalds burger flipping.

He has terrible taste in music and entertainment and he thinks childish puns count as humor. Rules out anything in the entertainment "industry".

He is lazy, uncoordinated, and as has been demonstrated many times has no understanding of tools, electronics, and anything hand held. Rules out computer-based jobs, manufacturing, or any manual skill.

Don't care what LFF says about his parenting and fatherly skills, he is a terrible role-model for children.

He is dumb, just plain dumb with zero common sense or people skills either. Can't lead and can't follow.

He couldn't even shut up long enough to be a wal-mart greeter. In all sincerity, I cannot think of a single job that lazy pile is qualified to do.

The only jobs for Robb involve working a gas station or convenience store for minimum wage. He has no skills. He has no ability to connect with normal people in a socially acceptable way. His health is so bad no employer that offers insurance to employees would want him. He is utterly useless.

Sitting on his ass and selling Slurpees is about the most he can do. Unfortunately people who work at those places are expected to clean bathrooms and mop, so maybe it's not a perfect fit for that lazy piece of shit.

He would try to delight and entertain the customers with an offensive stereotype or mocking accent of his hard-working and motivated boss. Also are you going to trust captain will power in a store full of junk food? He may be qualified to do it, but in the real world he would last 1 day tops.

Maybe we could arrange a prisoner exchange with ISIS -- you guys give us the journalists you're holding captive and we will give you Spewakk. Pound for pound you guys come out ahead.

I'd wager that the actual listenership of Buzz's show is significantly higher than ~100 downloads a day. Those are only the *official* downloads, after all. Buzz's show is being pirated all over the internet.

Will someone please explain what is happening here? I checked out of the entire TMOS universe, to include ancillary personnel and their side projects, months ago. Is this a new permanent thing for BOAD or a one-off? Has Oscar talked about it (promoted it - fat chance) of THE FAIL? If so, what was Mike's take? Total jealousy?

FWIW, good for them (BOAD). I really liked the show on WJFK a long time ago. I can't handle Chad Dukes now and had to punch out on the insufferable podcast version years ago, but a part of me has really fond memories of the show on 99.1 and 106.7 and early podcasts/bunker stuff.

Modern-day BOAD and Chad Dukes now? Forget it.

I think it's a try-out thing, they haven't mentioned anything recurring yet. And to recap, LFF wasn't insanely jealous, he just implied he could get the same shot for TMOS if he wanted, which is beyond delusional.

Oh Btw, Adam has a bit about running into the head of XM every couple of years (one of their shows brings him in to promote something) and the head asks him what it'll take to get Adam on their service and Adam tells them to send him an offer via his agent.

They never do.
