I thought it was interesting that Mike referred to a discussion of earlier wanting a hiatus at some point and make it sound like he was talked out of it.
He needs the time to figure out whose books are whos, and how to properly divide the rest of their trash.

C'mon people, yesterday was a brilliant theater of the mind piece. You'll hear the reveal today. Oscar got the inspiration at the podcast conference, and he and Mike carried it off perfectly. Robb even played the role of the stunned bystander to a T. Kudos, TMOS! Nice bit - first one in an amazing run up to CAT, I'm sure. Gotta hand it to them, they fooled the whole lot of you miserable trolls. Boom! Mic thrown down.

The FB fan page is legitimately fractured. Some very reasonable negative posts, with some very reasonable rebuttals. Another section of delirious "it's a free show you don't get it" weirdos, but less than usual. This really hurt Mike's credibility there, when taken with all the other times he's teed off on a business partner for no reason.

A lot of fans starting to show up at FFU and praise the show! This is good news, although it really seems to be irking the 6 members that had previously occupied FFU for the past 6 years.
Oh well, their time has come and gone. The fans are in the house now!!!
So let me be clear:
I love TMOS. I listen all the time. This afternoon, I'm going to brew some fresh coffee then re-listen to yesterday's show and then listen to today's show. Can't wait.

I saw that FB post. I don't know what "personally attack" a show member means. If you say that playing sound effects everyday for a week plus isn't great, that's generally treated like an attack over there.

I think we are soft-selling one of the major points of what occurred yesterday. Do you think there's any truth to what Ed Fairchild alleged in his FB tirade? That what actually happened live yesterday isn't what eventually went up as the podcast? It seems odd that he'd completely make that shit up, right? His allegations are that "the show posted today was not what happened on Ustream". Interesting.

Whatever you would say about the dude, Oscar knows when something is way too corny. TMOS is too corny too often. Mike's "just gotta fill this time" attitude is what leads to the strict time limit, lazy intros, lists on lists on lists, old news segment with no newsman or comment, grocery shopping stories, etc.
Do they ever seem like they really "bring it" for one particular show or shows? Every time they stumble upon a decent "bit" idea Mike either kills it or the lack of prep ruins it. Could they even execute a great show to send to a Sirius/XM?

It matters to me not if the TMOS Fan Club members want to troll the FFU message board. The forum here is: The Mike O'Meara Show, so even though five or six of us (peezka, Blobb Spewsack, Mike D1, Cary and Carla, Intractable Insobriety) think the show could be a little better, technically the forum is for anyone who likes the show and has insight into what can make it better.
Let's face it gang:
We all listen. Every.single.day.
That's why the show will be on for a long time and if that make them happy... so be it.
If they want to waste a bunch of their time enjoying a great program, made by wonderful, funny people... that's on them.

If you can’t just sit down for 79 minutes a day to talk with two other people who are ostensibly your closest friends, something is wrong with your social skills.
