Is a business that has survived and continued to grow and thrive in today's economy really a failure.

Methinks not.

Both LFF and Donnie G. are making a discovery -- when it comes to tech and web services, you get what you pay for. Since they're spending their own money, they try to cheap it out. They're shocked when problems arise.

Where's the evidence it's growing and thriving? It's alive. It's certainly not growing an audience. The book didn't sell.

They had a show. All was forgiven because we know Mike NEVER holds a grudge unless your richer, younger, more successful or more talented than him. That explains why he never stays mad at Robb.
On the Ustream feed, Oscar looked like he would rather have been sticking white hot knitting needles through both eyes.

Downloads increasing every single month over the past four years. Advertisers. Sponsors. Revenue. Sales. That's success, my friend.

And he doesn't mention every day how much work he does, just every other day, or at most 4 days a week. But not every day!

Downloads increase because they don't calculate the number of people downloading daily, they are just adding up the number of times it has been downloaded.

If I downloaded the show 10 times and then deleted it without listening to it, their number from the top of the show would go up by 10.

No wonder Robert hates his father.

He is old enough to have realized that his father is not supporting his family at all, and through his diet, is actually a financial drain.

Just listening to yesterday's show... so let me get this straight - the big fight you kids are creaming your jeans over is the disagreement between Oscar and Mike that lasted about 3 minutes of the show? The one where they came to a peaceful understanding and were complimenting each other about 4 minutes later. Ooh scary!

You know, saying something a bunch of times doesn't make it true. Though I can see why you might think it would. How many times have LFF and LPS referred to what they do as a job? Keep praying boys.

I once wrote a list of shocking things that have happened on the show. May try to find it and repost

I don't know how anyone could find Rob(b) funny. I just don't. The show would be improved if they just took his mic away.

Again, where is the evidence that the show is growing, that it has more listeners today than six months ago? Where's the effort; where's the attempt to promote the show to a new listeners?

You don't see it because it's not there.

They are doing the bare honking minimum to put this show on. Are you seriously suggesting that LFF/MOM works hard for his part?

A discussion that I'd like to have with a rational klubber

When the LFF tells you to try harder, why don't you find that unacceptable and offensive?

The LFF in the fight show from the other day, said something akin to, "when we NEED them to put their promotion hats on..." Something like that.

Why is it his listeners' jobs to ensure the success of his show or event?

Ok, here's something bothersome. How is playing new sound effects, just to play them with no context, funny? And how is it entertaining if it happens multiple times over the course of a few days? Is that the vaunted "show prep" we hear so much about?

Robb has moments where he is actually very funny. And he has an intelligent side to him as well.

But I get angered at his inability to:

1. Limit himself. Constant interruptions. Constant talking over people. Laughing at himself in an over-the-top manner.

2. Butt kissing Mike. He forever agrees with whatever Mike thinks, and that is tiring.

those are just two main ones.

Here's a question for you. If we are here in our own corner, why does that bother YOU so much? Enough to come here and spam. It doesn't effect you at all I would imagine.

1. The show has advertising, clearly... numerous sponsors are mentioned on every episode.

2. 6 mouthbreathers that live in their mom's basement and congregate on FFU does not constitute "alienating a fanbase". There are thousands of fans of the show.

I listen proudly every day. I'm not alienated. I'm not disenfranchised. I'm not Disbrumble-ed.

And where's the evidence of growth in the listener base?

I'm not clear on where your information comes from that the show is not growing. Do you have some sort of statistic to proove that? I'm not being contentious, I'm being serious. Is there a metric you have access to that displays that the show has less listeners/downloads, etc. Show me some stats.

You're right. The TMOS podcast ended the day after they found out you and your 10 friends stopped listening. I won't argue with that. The staff got together and said "Well, that's it. We have bad news. We're closing down the podcast today".

Because: Internetz!!!!

It's OK when Mike and Robb call women pigs, refer to them as "sloppy" and play fart sound effects anytime a woman they think is overweight is mentioned on the show? Like, that's not cruel enough to disgust you? What an odd double standard. One of the reasons I stopped listening altogether is that the show is extremely cruel at heart. It's all about how every bit of art they consume sucks, how foreign people are hilarious, and how everyone in the service industry is terrible at her job. I really don't understand your metric for cruelty at all if what they do on the show is perfectly ok but the nicknames here are disgusting.

You asked a question, you got a straight answer. Then you bailed. And you STILL didn't address any of the concerns/complaints that were calmly AND WITHOUT PERSONAL ATTACK stated about Rob. You said you wanted a dialog, so a few people tried to engage. You came here, we didn't come over to you. This is a part of the culture here. So you can either just deal honestly with us here or you are free to leave, which is apparently what you are choosing to do.

But the questions still remain unanswered.

Why can Rob not self edit? Why must he compulsively interrupt anyone who dares to relate a story? Why does he cackle like a hyena throughout the bulk of the show? Why does he blindly agree with everything Mike says?

He's honestly way more of an apple-polisher than Bert Weiss ever was, and they use to VICIOUSLY mock that guy for years on the old D&M show. Which by the way, Mike was perfectly fine in making fun of Jack Diamond, but you'd better not EVER make fun of Mike.

Or it was OK for Spewak repeatedly to make fun of the lady who got her face ripped off by a chimp.

We do have some data, LFF ("Mike" to our visitors) announces the download count every day. Consistently in the 20-25K downloads per episode range. Not quite the 40-50K Blob(b) (a.k.a. Robb Spewack) mentioned today.

Why does Robb kiss Mike's ass? It allows him to live this life while his wife is miserable. It's all about Robb. He ratted out John Norman back in the day to kiss Don's ass. He makes Robin Quivers look controversial.

Mike is a total hypocrite. He can make fun of celebrities every day, you know, but he is off limits, you know. And, all cast members have to be robots.

The Klubers are so blind. Opinions need to be squashed. I have never seen such ass kissing in my life. FB posts yesterday proved it. They want to ban anyone with an opinion in the klub. Only positive one sided opinions like the new Jack Ass here.

Oscar puts in more hours than any other member. But, he has other projects. Two hours a day does not fill his plate like it does lazy Mike and Robb. He had an opinion and was attacked because he did not blindly follow Mike on FB. (Of course Robb did.)

It's ok to make fun of Bruce Jenner, you know, but not TMOS, you know, because he is famous, you know. What a crock of shit. At least he has won a gold medal. What has fat mike done without Don???

OK, I'll answer you. I can't say more then TMOS pleases me!! Everything about it. I like Mike, I like Robb, I like Oscar. Deal with it!!! I think it can't be improved -- it's the best! I look forward to it each day, and I have gone to appearences and buy the bonus shows and DVD's, and I bought 5 copies of Open Mike to give to my family. I kind of liked Buzz, but he turned out to be a fink. Good riddance, and to Ronick. Glad he and Don hooked up -- they deserve each other. Ronick and Buzz prevented TMOS from being the great show it has become without them!! You guys are just creepy sad sorts. I wish I could afford going to Reno, but I will be satisfyed seeing my TMOS guys here in the Virginia area. Like at Jimmy's that's the best of all spots cause you can get really close up to them and talk to them - they are sooo nice!! How could anyone call them such horrid names is beyond me, so I give up and will let you silverfish run around here in your dark corner of the internet. Wish I could spray Raid here!!!! But Im afraid you woudnt die. So I will do my level christian best to turn the other cheek and live and let live. Someday you will see the error of your ways and see the light.

What's "to get" - 5 or 6 people that make fun of Mike and Robb's weight???

That's "dialogue"???

That's an insightful critique???

We ALL listen every day. That's all that matters. That's what makes the show a success.

But again, what about laughing at accents, Charla Nash, Daniel von Bargen's 911 call, etc? Why doesn't that make you tune out? Why is it OK to laugh at people's pain and things they have no control over and bad to ridicule people for their own dumb decisions? It isn't an accident that you aren't answering that. You're deflecting with this 'horrid names' nonsense. You know the only difference is what people you like are saying vs. what is being said about people you like. It's bizarre that you take the latter so personally.

When did I try? I never revealed whether I listen (I do), and all I said was that if you call laughing at animal attacks and suicide attempts entertaining, you don't get to look down on people for being disgusted that these 'men' refuse to be healthy for or support their families. That makes the second time I clearly explained that. Don't embarrass yourself by asking to have it broken down a third time.

No one was giving YOU any "Pollyanna shit", I think people are addressing the fact that some folks are saying that the name calling in here is "cruel" and the show is hilarious and awesome. Its just a silly position to take given how cruel the show is. Also, I'm sorry, but listening to Mike be a shitty petulant baby about every experience he has in public just isn't that funny to me. I stopped "getting it" right around the time he was pitching a stupid temper tantrum about his Facebook not working and how no one would help him. That's less funny than sad, really.
