Blindgate is a very interesting theory. It fits or almost fits all the criteria. Mike got unneccesarily secretive for odd reasons. The stated reasons were illogical. The likelihood of this project happening was slim. Motive. Opportunity.

In case I'm not entirely clear - eff this guy and his pointless obfuscations. This is a borderline case, but how many times has he treated the audience like they don't listen? Or are morons? How many times has the story changed later, without explanation?

He even made up an elaborate lie about the work Comcast did, which Oscar predicted and easily called him out on. The poster who said they're still in the box in his garage or Florida room is spot on. That is the only photo he can take of them. Yeah, Mike, taking a photo of installed blinds would compromise your security.

Installing blinds isn't that big a deal if you have the right tools and patience, two things I'm sure Mike has in short supply. I installed blinds in a two story house and it took an afternoon. It's really pretty simple. But you know what's simpler? Leaving them in the box and complaining until your wife lets you hire someone with money you don't have to install them.

And these weren't just any blinds, they are plantation shutters. To cover windows that are overhead, that's why he would need to get on a ladder to take a picture, because if he took a picture from floor level, it would show too much of the inside of his home..... I know Mike is technologically incompetent, but who doesn't know how to crop a photo? The same guy that can't remember his passwords, and reinstalls an OS because his numbers quit working.

Today, Mike essentially admits that he hadn't previously installed the blinds. Says he did the install, but doesn't want to get into "timing." Apparently the timing would give credence to a theory Oscar had. A theory that he hadn't installed the blinds.
Interestingly enough, did Oscar actually accuse Mike of not installing the blinds on the show? I thou arthritis was just confused.
Interestingly enough, Mike tried to obfuscate on Facebook by making our klubber friend seem dumb because they were shutters not blinds. Then he calls them blinds a dozen times on today's show.

It's a mixture of A and B. Sometimes I think he confused. Sometimes he doesn't know what the product is. But he started overhyping sponsors way back in the dark ages of podcasting. No way that stuff was on that Audible read...I think he lost his space and went into auto-pilot.
