If Mike had such a successful formula on the radio (in his mind he did), why then did he have to add Oscar Santana? Perhaps he needs a scapegoat for justifying why the new "show" didn't work. Im sure the announcement will be made in a few weeks/months that they could just no longer afford paying out of pocket for the podcast. They'll blame everyone and everything but themselves (Mike, Robb and Buzz). The show is unlistenable. No fun, no games, no audience interaction, no prizes, no use of phone, no guests of any noteriety, no remotes, NO EFFORT!!!!!

msmack (I know I didn't spell you name right, don't care because you're nothing to me)

Is that the best you can do? Trot out a bunch of curse words against someone who disagrees with you? Your mother must be so proud for raising such a gentleman.

My point was simple - if you don't like something, don't listen to it. Rather than waste your time looking for things to bitch about, and then my time complaining about it, turn the computer off.

But no, you would rather wait to be offended, then take pride in a on-line smack down. I'll bet you are listening to the MoM show while trolling this site, with one hand on the keyboard and one hand on your half-inch cock, just waiting for someone to challenge your tunnel vision of "I hate the MoM show....therefore, nobody should listen to it."

Grow up beore you make your mama cry even more when she looks at you and realizes what a waste her life was. To borrow a line from DG, "I wish I could go back in time and visit your pregnant mother with a coat hanger...."

Aren't you late for a book burning?

You are probably right. Those guys seem to start posting here when things are going badly. If Mike was reading this forum yesterday and getting bummed out, it was probably in rsponse to the Carla stuff. Odds are those comments about her getting sick of this shit hit close to home for Mike. I'm not Rob or anyone else associated with the show.

I am, however, a reasonable person who never got a legit response to the first question I asked......

If you hate MoM so much, why do you listen to the show???

Rather than give me an answer to my question, I had some asshat, dipshit, uneducated and possibly retarded sexually frustrated repressed fairy (who most likely still lives with is mommy) attempt to insult me by throwing out a bunch of what he thinks is harsh words rather than a response.

What is everyone's personal history with Mike O that breeds such hate? Or is it jealousy that he has a hot wife, nice house and $$$ while the hates post their all consuming rage on "Fairfax Underground"......whoopie!

But no, the brilliant minds on this page feel the need to listen to a show they don't like, run by a man they don't know and don't like, then gather together and bitch, bitch, bitch.....

If you don't like a book, would you read it anyway?
If you don't like a TV show, do you watch it anyway?
If you don't like a movie, would you pay to see it?

And then complain?

Wrong on all three counts you stupid diseased cunt. My point to you was after having your dumb ass question asked by morons just like the one you see in the mirror every morning, may be 200 times on this thread, and answered by some of the brightest minds in the community if not the world, you show up and ask the same fucking idiot question again.

God forbid! Don't scroll back and see how your question has been answered over 500 times or so. Just ask it again like a stupid bitch than go on defense trying to cover your ignorance with more ignorance.

One thing we can say about Anitia and all her Fucktard friends, they are nothing if not predictable.

I wonder what she/he or shehe does for a living? My guess is she works for the government in some capacity. May be a prison guard?..........Runs the stop/slow sign on the road crew?...........Whatever, I'm sure she's a true asset to whomever.

There is a real possibility she's unemployed of course and not just because of the economy if you know what I mean........wink,wink(tard).

That may be because you don't seem to have a genuine curiosity about the matter... You appear to be more concerned with setting the gay, uneducated, dipshits straight. I will, however, attempt to answer your question to the best of my ability... After all, I am but one man.

First of all, without listening to it, how would you know if you liked it?

>

You seem to be arguing from a very black-and-white, oversimplified, perspective. If that philosophy has been working for you, then that's just fine. Does everyone express their appreciation for something in the same manner? Do you think they all should? Do you make regular practice of avoiding all things that you don't "like"?

> But no, the brilliant minds on this page feel the
> need to listen to a show they don't like, run by a

See, this condescending approach may be why you haven't gotten a serious reply yet.

I think the regular posters in this thread seem rather content doing the things they are doing. If I were to accuse anyone of "bitching", it would be the people that come on here attacking, and harassing, the people in this thread just because they have taken the matter of entertaining themselves into their own hands.

>

Haven't you ever watched TV with friends or family? Do you always agree on what to watch?

Haven't you ever gone to a movie with a significant other? You know, that gory, war, movie that your husband, Lucas Bath, had been begging you for weeks to go see?

>
> And then complain?

Well, you may not complain to your significant other... but maybe to your friends the next day... Why not communicate your opinion, especially, through a medium as harmless as the internet?

Besides, don't you think it takes a competent artist to invoke any strong feelings in a person? Do you believe happiness and joy are the only acceptable reactions to a work of art?

>
>
> Pathetic idiots. Turn the dial. Problem solved.

Again with the BnW... Do you always turn the dial on life?
Let me be succinct.

Some people think the show is funny.

Some people are venting their disappointment in what the show has become.

Some people are interested in the Radio Business, especially when it comes to local personalities.

Some people have actually had real-life interactions with Mike, some of which, that weren't so pleasant.

Some, rather blessed, people actually find joy in things that annoy them.

Some people like to gossip.

Sure.. some people hate Mike and love to watch him circle the drain.

All of these people are simply stating their opinion... It's what a forum is all about.

There are people who find joy in personally attacking people to get a reaction.

There are people who can't accept someone else's opinion and try to stifle these opinions.

All of these people are trying to disrupt the natural exchange of opinions and manipulate the chaotic, and sometimes uncomfortable, flow of ideas... It's what life is all about.

Finally, I leave you with your own advice... If you don't like what's going on here, in this thread, just turn the dial...

Some people are venting their disappointment in what the show has become.

That I agree with. However, I have not read anything close to that.....what I have seen are some ppl complaining because they can complain.

My point about the books, tv, etc....was simple. There have been dozens of tv shows that I didn't even bother to watch because I knew I wouldn't like it. I cannot stand Julia Roberts and never, ever see any movies with her in it. If I go see a war movie with "Lucas" that is my choice....nobody forces me to go. It seems as though the haters have a gun to their heads and being forced to listen rather than making an adult decision such as doing something else. That was my question to the extreme haters - if you don't like it, don't listen to it. Yes, it is sad to see how the mighty have fallen - D+M was a fantastic show, and from the sec that Don left I could tell that things would be different.

I appreciate the reasonable response - it seems as if you are the only other educated person here.

Exactly. At some point, Carolla realized he couldn't depend on podcasts to earn a living. And some of us here think it's unrealistic of Mike to imagine that he can.

That's what WTL has been saying all along.

As for the MOM fans, if it upsets you so much to hear that, or (heaven forbid!) that anyone thinks Mike's show is not hilarious, then maybe you should take a page out of your own book and not visit this site. Download Mike's podcasts, enjoy them and knock yourself out.

Everyone here is just expressing their own opinion. You don't have to agree with it, but not everyone has to agree with you.

I don't listen to the show, but I assume Mike is finding someone to blame for his failure, so Oscar seems the most logical candidate. The fact that the site went down due to maxing out their bandwidth quota, you know that Oscar either didn't understand the quota issue or he told Mike it could be a problem and Mike is now acting like that conversation never took place. Either way, Oscar is the goat, just like BA was before.

Here's a job for Mike...

He will be near his beloved Red Sox, though I doubt he will make enough to afford tickets.

Disc Jockey Company
About the Job
Disc Jockey Entertainment company based out of New Haven, Connecticut is seeking dancers + party motivators, MC's and DJ's to perform at weddings, bar mitzvahs, school dances and other private events.

Actually a pretty damn good idea for Mike. The "Party motivator" part could be employed by Carla and several of her stripper friends to go in and rev up a bar and maybe who knows? Don't think Mike would appeal to the customer base as DJ but maybe he could talk Oscar into giving it a whirl. Mike could then concentrate on how well ($) the girls are performing er ah "motivating". Hell of a lot more prospective than what he's doing now

Hey - You guys have to admit that Anitia Bath is pretty funny and she has added to the fun of the Web site. And she asks good questions. But it is obvious that she hasn't read through the 51 pages on this forum. It's not like others haven't wondered why we don't "change the channel."

That's the reason why I logon and read this forum everyday - it's just really funny. McSmack and WTL are fun to read and very knowledgable. I'm an old former friend of Mike O'Meara from the early 80's that was very turned off how he treated my circle of friends when he became "quote" famous. He had to tell us all that he was too famous to hang with us and that he had hit the big time with Don G. We didn't listen to WAVA so we had no idea. Later, I was a listener of the Don and Mike show and have enjoyed seeing his solo career go down the tubes. He has destroyed what used to be an entertaining show when Don was running it.

Anyway, the old saying is that you see the same people coming back down. I don't feel like going to the trouble of downloading the show and don't have the time to listen but I can catchup on the results by checking into this web site.

Anitia - I will be very disappointed if this site ever goes away.

We kid around a lot here. However when several posters all of the sudden pop up out of nowhere, (possibly one or two that change their name constantly, making them appear more numerous than they are) and go on the attack with the same worn out rhetoric over and over. Then we must give them a good natured, old fashioned beat down. The way they suddenly appear in #s more than one makes me suspicious as to who these kooks are. Could they be part of the MOMS cadre ? show members? Could Anitia Bath be Carla? She sure spells like an uneducated stripper. Her Nazi reference sounds like she has been hanging around Rob... Could be.. It's funny though. Their gone as fast as they appear. Never to be heard from again. Except for maybe under a different screen name.

This Sunday will probably determine if the mike omeara show lives or dies...Mike is having a super bowl party at jimmys old town tavern, and if he gets 50+ people to show up he may have a new sponsor, and a feeling he is actually doing something; on the other hand if only 10-12 people show up, it will be a big failure for him and he can count out on any bars helping him out, and he probably will call it quits...

Leave it to Mike to claim credit for packing a sports bar on Super Bowl Sunday. Just like he tried taking credit for an Irish pub having customers on St. Patrick's Day when he was at WJFK.

As for Jimmy's Old Town Tavern, have you seen its website?

http://www.jimmystavern.com/

It looks like something someone built in Front Page in 1997. No way these guys are throwing much money Mike's way. Half of the compensation is probably for prize drawings and comping Mike's bar tab.

It will be hilarious to tune.. er. log... I mean download Monday and hear Mike say with a straight face, "Thanks to everybody for the great turn out at the MOM radio remote yesterday". Damn straight he'll take all the credit.

He'll mention in passing that it was a Super Bowl party but make it seem like the place was packed with all his fans. Rob will have some heavy editing to do because I'll guarantee most of the patrons will not be aware of whats going on.(Other than the game)

I wonder how that decision was made.

Mike; "Got a great idea guys!!!!!This is going to be big!!"

Crew; " Okay were amped! What is it?"

Mike; " Alright! Alright! here it is!..... Were going to GRAVY TRAIN THE SUPER BOWL!"

My question is, are the patrons of this place going to have to listen to that fat fuck on a P.A. system while they are trying to watch the game? If so, that should be great for business.

I'm sure he'll ruin the pre game broadcast and half time if he can. It should be a close game so he will take credit for the crowd all the way to 10:00pm when I'm sure they will flee his annoyingly drunk, loud, over gained and distorted ramblings with Rob cackling in the background.

Best case scenario would be some of the drunk patrons (maybe the loosing team fans) gets their fill of MOMS bullshit sometime late in the 4rth quarter, and then take matters, and barstools, into their own hands. It would be nice if we had someone to monitor the situation and let us know what really happens just in case.

All the ingredients will be in place for a true MOM meltdown here, primarily a drunk MOM and a drunk crowd pissed off at drunk MOM. I'm sure Mike thinks "what possibly could go wrong?"

How the mighty have fallen. From a nationally know show to a radio broadcast.

Anyone here from the restaurant/jfk with stories of how much of an ass MO is?

Karla is too fugly to be a stripper. Unless she's in charge of the VIP room.

I haven't listned to the new show or the web show - has Don ever checked in since he left?

If you search this thread, there are some horror stories about the restaurant. Apparently he wasn't too nice to work for, despite his "big heart." You should also look up the ABC file on his restaurant. Some pretty fucked up shit there, as well.

Jack Diamond sucks, but he doesn't bullshit his listeners into believing he is Howard Stern. Diamond offers safe, retarded reads of shit from the DJ subscription services. Mike, on the other hand, wants his listeners to believe he is Stern, yet does the same shit Diamond does. I at least respect Diamond for playing to his strengths instead of living in denial the way Mike does.

Speaking of 50, remember when Mike promoted his 50th birthday at some bar and something like 7 people showed up? Or when he was promoting all of those Harley events and like 5 people showed up? The guy can't draw a crowd, that's for damn sure.

To sum it up, Mike is a delusional fuck who has been doomed to fail from the start. He needs to do Midday in Danville, but is too fucking slow to figure out that there isn't a big payday waiting for him somewhere. He's lazy. He sucks. He rode Don's coattails for years and learned nothing from the experience. He was probably doomed at WJFK from the start, but this podcast thing is just an embarrassment. Lots of people have dumped on Carla. I don't know if the rumors are true, but I do think she's probably already tired of his shit.

I totally agree - he was living high on the hog with D+M, and then went down the crapper when Don left.

Does he actually think that he'll get "discovered" doing the current show? That's how people start out in the business...not end up after 25 years.

Where is Don now?

Anyone want to start a pool on when Karla will leave?

I was in town only one time when O'Meara's was open back when the D&M show was still on the air. There were 3 of us in a group and I asked about meeting there for dinner. Since we were in Bethesda I was outvoted 2 to 1 for the Palm.

What I think was funny though was Mike had velvet roped off a VIP area in his dining area exclusively for his personal and upper crust client el. This area sat empty 95% of the time from what I hear. Not exactly 3 star cuisine either.

I went there once. The Palm was definitely a better choice. The service wasn't bad, but the food sucked. I sat in the "VIP" dining area. It had wood paneling, but other than that it was nothing to write home about. It was like 80% bar and 20% restaurant, anyway.

Yeah. They broke up because she wanted a kid and he didn't. If she ends up pregnant, she is going to be sorry. He doesn't exactly strike me as "father of the year" material, based on what Donnie said about him in his final broadcast on D&M.

Didn't his band play there on occasion? He had talked towards the end of the show at WJFK that "Crap", appropriately named, may be reforming. Jeez another great venture. He was practically paying for people to come see them perform.

Don always kidded him about being the "Golden Boy". For a golden boy he sure was a disappointment.

Mike said on his podcast that the owner of that place is a friend of his -- which is probably the only reason they get to do their little promotion there.

Yeah, Mike has asked his fans to show up early so they can play some games before the SB starts.

At least, if this fails, Mike will be in a bar, so he can indulge in his favorite past time.

I don't even know why people go to sports bars to watch sports anymore. I went to one for the NFC/AFC Divisional round and the sound and TV quality sucked compared to what I have at home. The place was only moderately busy. Plenty of seats available.

I'd rather invite some friends over and watch at home. Better food. Cheaper beer. And no piss all over the place in the bathroom (at least, until I get in there).

A. He is too cheap or stupid to figure out how to patch a phone line into his computer (which isn't hard to do), or

B. He doesn't want those people in his house, or

C. He's afraid they will upstage him, or

Then talked about the actresses they found hot.

Then realized that they have someone named Oscar on the Show!
Then realized that they have someone named Buzz on the Show!

Well....They have their very own OSCAR BUZZ....get it???

Well as for comping mikes bar tab, they might need some money, on his show he mentioned going to a hockey game and drinking 12 beers, and 2 shots of whiskey, and being horribly hungover, last week... Shit considering bar prices, if each beer is $4, and shots $3, they will need at least $54 for him alone...

12 beers and two shots at a hockey game? That's pretty fucked up. I would vomit and pass out if I had that much. When I go to an event like that, the most...the MOST...I might do is three beers because I know I would have to drive afterwards.

You drive a hard bargain, but if you bend over and spread those healthy buttcheeks of yours and let me sink my man-love-stick in your crap-trap, I will give you 45 bucks.

He must have had one too many shots because it looks like Mike forgot about the game and spent his time practicing giving the sobriety test to himself out in the parking lot.

HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

Sad isn't it.....begging the public for $$ to support a show that is going down the tubes.

He should have quit when Don did - go out with a shred of dignity.

About three weeks ago, Mike & the gang were supposed to go meet with some guy who was going to do a deal with them for an RV (for their road trip). I guess they had the meeting, but so far, Mike hasn't mentioned anything about it.

No more talk of getting an RV or doing a road trip to meet with up with fans.

Gee, I guess the RV guy actually wanted to get paid? Instead of just donating an RV to Mike for a couple of weeks?

Well, by looking at the cleanliness of his push-broom mustache, I would say "sanitation" is not his forte.

The roof of Mike's house looks a bit lopsided in that pic.

That's because Mike's couch is located on that side of the house.
Just a little foundational settling, nothing to worry about.
Won't help the value of the house when he goes to sell it though.
Imagine when he moves the couch, and how hard it's going to be
to vacuum up those marks out of the carpet.
