That always makes me shake my head. Those two talentless assholes proclaim that SNL or some other show or entertainer "isn't funny" as they do their shit show for one broke-dick Iowa AM station. Yeah Rob and Mike, regale us with your astute observations about the entertainment world you fucking losers.

Yeah, I bailed after 2013 as well. While it was an improvement over the previous 3 weeks of 5 per month bonus shows, they were just filling with garbage. My one main complaint with the show, bonus and regular, is their completely insane adherence to a schedule. There's no schedule. No format. It's a podcast. Do what you want. Fuck some brokedick Iowa AM station in the ass. Have an intern do a half-ass fucked out edit and put your best 79 minutes on a CD-ROM like they might do 15 years ago. Either way, grow a sack and improve the podcast. Stop fucking up a halfway decent conversation with a commercial break or even worse, "News you might not need" or 6 year old you tube clips. They desperately need a program director. Someone outside of the "talent" (and that is with the maximum sarcasm you can possibly envision) who can make some overarching calls about format and content. Oscar doesn't have the sack to do it, but probably sees the writing on the wall.

Buzz and Ronick didn't have balls, either, and got sacked for what little "sack" they showed.

Successful business people are used to swings in revenue year over year. It happens. But to freak out about $7k (probably about $1,500 each after taxes), that's pretty much an indication of dire straights. If they are as successful as the klubbers claim they are, that should be a rounding error. Not an excuse for on-air convulsions.

TMOS does not "get it" when it comes to podcasting. Gotta read those yahoo news and replay those youtube videos. That's definitely what people want to hear.

Dont know what compelled me to listen today but I did. Saw Oscar was back (I don't even care for him) and he was so excited to share his enthusiasm about what he experienced at his school but mike and rob couldn't get their stupid lines in fast enough to derail oscars story. I'm kinda surprised rob didnt have some stupid music bed to play every time Oscar tried opening his mouth.

The opening movie clip Was really telling though. It was from Napoleon Dynamite when Uncle Rico is recalling his glory days and saying if only. He asks Kip if he knows anything about time travel. Kip says he Already looked it up for himself on the Internet. I got the biggest chuckle from that piece of audio just imagining it was mike talking to rob. Their motivations are exactly the same, mike wants to time travel back to his glory days using the internet too. This is one of robs newer clips and it is almost 10 years old now. Also what was with mikes crocodile tears. Really I am sorry to hear jimmy lost his mom, but mike was blubbering Irish right before the open and hack dj right after wtf?).

He said the only people who disliked his political rants were republicans and Obama bashers, then he went on to discuss politics for several minutes, hitting several of the same fucked out talking points

Not busting balls, but why do a bunch of people here say "fucked out". I've never heard that phrase anywhere until I started reading this site. I've always heard and said "fucked up". Is it a regional slang sort of thing? I'm not from the DC area so if it's a regional thing, that would explain it.

Mike is begging people to spread the word about TMOS, but just stop for a minute and imagine if you actually talked someone into listening by telling them about this funny podcast you enjoy, and today was they day they tuned in to check it out. They would have been subjected to Mike bitching ad nauseum about weather predictions and television coverage of the weather for the millionth time. Then they would have heard Mike tell Oscar how boring Robb was on Friday's show. My guess is the person listening for the first time wouldn't have lasted 15 minutes before turning it off.

Fucked out is another way of saying tired or used up...I don't know if it's region specific, I live on the East coast and I have heard Adam Carolla use it as well

I'm a Dem and I can't stand Mike's political rants, just like I can't stand most rants on Fox News or MSNBC. The reason? It's not the politics. It's the fact the arguments are poorly formed and not particularly based in reality.

Mike is like a lot of political know-it-alls I know. They take a position based on emotion and then contort the facts to try to justify it. At Thanksgiving, nobody wants to hear Uncle Earl's opinion on what should be done about ISIS and nobody gives a shit what Mike thinks. Hence, the drop in subscriptions.

'Xactly. He said something like even if you don't want to listen to the bonus content, buy it anyway and think of it as doing TMOS "a favor."

Who came up with that marketing pitch? Mike, clearly, after hours of prepping it, no doubt.

I'm just throwing this out for discussion. I'm not criticizing Pony Boy in any way, honesty he and Oscar are the funniest personalities on the show, but he's a lousy actor. His delivery of the "less political more funny" line sounded pretty stiff, even for him, and I wonder if Oscar coached and rehearsed him to say that.

LFF was genuinely surprised.
Roob is a careless moron, couldn't be bothered to care about $$$.
But Oscar cares, and if Oscar himself dared to say that LFF would have cut him loose on the spot.

It has been 0 days since LFF yelled at Spewakk for being lazy or doing something stupid

As several mentioned, when Thin Skinned O’Meara asked Pony for the truth about the bonus shows, Pony ad-libbed people were really enjoying the upbeat, “no political rants” shows. O’Meara was clearly pissed and jumped in to point out that it’s primarily the republican fans that are happy, right? Obama bashers are really the one’s who are happy, right? I guess because his take on politics is so well informed that his enemies really just want relief.

The other highlight was listening to Mike ask about how poor sickly “Mac” is doing then listening to he and Robb beat the lad down every time he opened his mouth.

Can’t imagine why 100 people did not signed up for the bonus package this year!
We’re supposed to buy bonus shows so Mike doesn’t have to ask for outright donations when he’s got Kappy paying for his movie tickets

Figured he would as he cares more about the product than the others, and that he could listen while he was in his spinning class... I expect he didn't give that up last week. That's a priority over even driving Shannon to the airport in bad weather, as we know.

The problem with the political talk, and one of the reasons it is hurting the show is that Mike is a liberal. And while I have no official census information, I am willing to bet that his target demographic is conservative.

I fully admit that this is a statement based on stereotypes and assumptions and that there will always be obvious examples that will counter what I am saying...but I am talking in very broad strokes here. And in my talking in broad strokes will likely make comparisons that are not flattering...

Mike's show (and really most "hot talk") is meant for "guys." Working class dues...cops, construction workers, guys that work with their hands, etc. And, as a sweeping statement, these guys are often conservative.
And for Mike to be spouting his political views, particularly in the current political climate of blanket hating of the "other team" is shooting himself in the foot.

I just went back and watched that segment on their You Tube channel. The funny thing is, if Robb hadn't interjected "what was that?", it probably would have gone right over Mike's head since he never listens to anyone else.

How convenient that the number of non-reupping subscribers is 100. Not 84 or 92 or 116. An even 100. Glad Oscar's taking that MBA course. Maybe he'll learn not to do accounting with a broad brush, as he usually does. Remember, he's the guy who called the State Theatre show a sellout based on anecdotal evidence ("I asked the guy in the ticket booth and he said it sold out"). He knew the actual sales numbers would not prove it.

"I want an honest assessment"

That's how he reacts to honesty he asked for. Let's face it, he was going to pull his transparency act and then use the honest numbers to scold the listeners for not supporting hard enough.

No balls busted. Fair points. I'd argue that the content is better with Oscar, though--it's more to me than just the logistics.

Funny enough, the Bing Crosby bit was pretty funny. Though I alllmost got it (the abuse reference, but not the Minute Maid reference), but it would've sucked without the context.

Mike and "the bald one" are the worst combination. The fact that Mike can't see it is shocking.

This after yesterday's lesson of "This show is real, we are real people, this is who we are." Or similar statement, I won't go back to find the exact wording. Of course then he was talking about why they have to force the politics on listeners and not why everything is sometime else's fault.

Good to know Mike waited almost 24 hours before he responded to the paying customer who said she didn't like Cranky Mike...I love that he said it like it was an actual accomplishment...Like dwelling on it for 23.75 hours before responding is an admirable act...It really is like taking candy from a baby.....a 400 pound, thin-skinned shut in of a baby with bad teeth and even worse genetics

Subscriptions must be down way more than 100 if he can't swing a movie ticket so he will have something to talk about on his podcast, either that or he is just a fat, free-loading piece of crap who is riding the gravy train all the way to Diabetes Town. Unbelievable. O'Meara mentioned the movie Kappy bought him tickets for, Whiplash. Everyone feels he should go to because it involves Buddy Rich. He left his wife at home because the showings are 2:25 and 8PM and he doesn't want to pay "a million dollars " for a babysitter. Nice.

Then as a couple of people have posted, he says he doesn't "do rude" in his real life. Unless he's dealing with a older nurse during an unscheduled doctor's appointment I guess. Then he shouts at her until the tears flow.

Mike acknowledged yesterday he is petty. That's the most self-aware comment I can remember him making.

On the other hand, plenty of comedians, podcasters, entertainers, etc. are petty. Difference is they can make stories of their pettiness entertaining for their audience. He cannot.

He also says J.K. Simmons is "not a nice guy" and then Blob asks if he means the character he was playing and LFF trails off. It's almost like he can't differentiate between the actor and the character he is portraying. At the very least, he cannot clearly get his point across. Another stroke symptom, the countless times he starts a sentence, then fades out and restarts. "The fact is..." followed by something that is not even a logical statement, much less a fact. And 90% of the time his tone of voice is identical to his Bill O'Reilly "impression".

I listened to the JK comment show and my phone played the next TMOS in the list which was one from year 1.

Hearing them back to back was startling.

The LFF sounded confused in the new show and in the older one he was much more quick witted.

I make fun of him for being a drunk for so many years and his drinking damaging the lives of those around him, but damn maybe it all caught up to him

I almost felt sympathy for that lazy, fat piece of shit.

If his health problems continue on this trend, I bet the other guys are thinking about life sans the LFF.

Taking bets now – what will those two princes of fashion (LFF and LPS) be wearing at the Super Bowl party? Besides copious amounts of fat.

Get both right and win a copy of Open Mike (from Amazon: “the story of a few radio guys who had no other choice but to rebuild their careers on their own, like so many other Americans in these challenging economic times”). Get one right and win an “I’m Jack Cassidy” t-shirt (enjoy the hilarity that will ensue every time you wear it!). Get neither right and you will sleep well in the knowledge that you are neither one of these obese embarrassments and therefore you can’t fathom how they wake up in the morning to face the world (after doffing their apnea masks, of course), nevermind what they wear.

Bonus points if you DON'T guess that LPS will wear his Iowa hoodie. Too easy.

I agree, I stopped listening over a year ago but thinking back you do see a slow deterioration of mental acuity. I won't watch a new show to gauge where he is now, relative.

MIKE if you read this get checked out by a Doc.

Could be mini-stroke(s), dementia, early onset alzheimers etc.

Get treatment, it'd be no fun hacking up a guy who can't think.

I mean sheesh, we'd have to feel sorry and maybe even say something nice.
