Someone should "accidentally" spill a drink on Mike at JOTT. That should be enough to trigger a full-on rage. With his C-diff he may very well shit himself in the process too.

Mike and Carla have the only relationship I've ever heard of where the young wife begs her elderly, sickly husband to start drinking again. Because he's no fun.

spill a drink, look too long at his daughters, or Carla, or his earlobe, wear an NRA or Sarah Palin t-shirt -- goodness, FFXU could spend all night creating the longest list of things that would send Mike into a rage. Wine-fueled.

Elmo may have a point here. After all, Mike heads up a podcasting empire so there is no telling how many meetings, conference calls, ribbon cutting ceremonies etc.. that he has to juggle on a daily basis. Add to that the fact that he is nominally involved in the raising of his infant son and you wonder where he finds the time for anything. And to take away the phone he doesn't know how to use, to boot? My God, the man is only human.

In this man's army, Lady B can go anywhere she wants in cyberspace.

I was listening to an old Don Geronimo podcast from the time period where he split from RELM. RELM supposed to set up a better system for him to take calls and Don wanted that worked into the budget. Buzz explained they had a listener who was going to send them 10 grand for new equipment. That was Kappy and Don blew his top because he felt RELM needed to be able to finance these things, not depend on listeners to pay for, and later repair, equipment.

Meanwhile Mike gets Kappy to pay for his movie tickets.

As far as Stephanie Matulich; Mike, just hit her up for as much money as she'll spend and she can stop trolling for Bonus subs to sponsor. And admit that it's a donation."I just request that it's for someone who truly wants it and can't afford it", that's the point----most of the people who used to buy it, no longer want it.

I know! It's like the Bizarro marriage.
But Carla did fall in love with Drunk Mike after all.

Didn't she make him quit, too? Now she makes him start again.

Making an older alcoholic start drinking for her own purpose is an appallingly selfish act and does not speak well for her character.
I mean, it verges on criminal, doesn't it?

His phone was never more than 30 feet from his recliner. It wasn't taken away, he left it in his car, and the car never left the drive or garage. He just later told Oscar and Spewak Carla drove off with it when he initially lied to them about why he missed the call. To his credit, he fessed up today, so there's that.

I'm not so sure Mike even left it in the car...I assumed he fell asleep and just missed it...He mentioned several times to Carla that he had a call at 4, so why would he need the phone as a reminder? He and Jr fell asleep watching womens golf and he amended an earlier lie and just said he left it in the car...How else do you explain how he missed it? He suddenly went retarded and couldn't read a clock? No, no, he simply wasn't awake....You could tell Robb wasn't buying it when he repeatedly asked Mike if the womens Golf distracted him for 45 minutes....Even BoBo Spewak figured it out

Okay, klubbers, time for a Bonus Show pep talk.

Here are 4 more ways to pay for a subscription:

1. In class this morning (Usury 101), I learned about these businesses that will give you an advance on your tax return, at 100% interest, compounded weekly. We're going to partner with one of these businesses, so it won't be long before we'll be taking you to ComPound Town!

2. We're offering a new subscription package that includes one of Robb's fruit cakes. If you go that route, you can pay us in food stamps!

3. Remember the hospital that taught us CPR? (Except for Mike; he's more likely to be on the receiving end of a CPR session, anyway). Turns out, they will PAY you to give blood. If you donate more than 2 quarts for "the cause," we'll send you a t-shirt that says, "Mike O'Meara is LITERALLY bleeding me dry!"

4. Guys, consider selling your "gentleman's relish" at your local sperm bank. Gals, consider volunteering to help out as fluffers.

Pep talk over, Klubbers. Now let's feed the TMOS Beast!

I have a question for you. Can you remember where your cell phone was at some random point during a typical day this week? I am exploring exactly where Mike O'Meara's phone was in the 20 minutes before and after his planned 4 pm business call on January 28th? Did his wife drive off with it, as he initially claimed to his partners that day, or was it in his car parked outside his door, as he claimed today to his podcast and KCJJ audience? Or did he falsely confess his first lie as part of a canny, second lie to cover what many expect was the prosaic, embarrassing truth: he simply fell asleep in his La-Z-Boy watching TV? I am peekza Koenig, and this is TMOSerial.

Brought to you by Robb's mailchimpbag.

Dude, how fucking retarded are you? Business school is like the Berklee School of Music, all you need is a bank account with enough money to cover the tuition.

Even in a CFA program they teach you basic accounting so everyone has the baseline level of knowledge.

As for the help, it was a long-time listener who had a background in programming that offered to help; Don thought it meant sending the listener there, which angered him (remember the issues he had in the past with Karl (RIP)).

The shows have actually been reasonable this week. I think there was a respite from terrible vignettes, which affects a large portion of the show.

By the way, is anyone surprised that a guy who had this haircut in the 2000s wears Costco sneakers?

to be fair (and to continue the tradition that posters here do more research than the host) RK is correct. Don didn't want the listener at his home and did specifically mentioned Karl. And it sounded like the listener was credible.

I like the fact that Don didn't want to base his business on one listener as a patron. He felt if RELM couldn't provide a reliable business plan, he couldn't count on them. O'Meara is currently begging for patrons.

And he dogs the loyal listeners and regular posters on his 'fan' site for "negative" posts. Their crime, saying they would love to, but simply couldn't afford to buy the bonus show at this time. He publicly embarrasses his regulars due to his misguided interpretation that they broke the prime directive. He is so fucking stupid. These are the only fans he has and he continually shits on them and drives them here. There is no such thing as a new listener. How is it that he continues to amaze me with his lack of any insight? But no, this can't be right. Why, only yesterday, Mike said that they have MORE listeners, but fewer Bonus Show buyers. And he would never lie.

Wow, the begathon today is amazing.

I'm also a guy who bought the Bonus package previously and wouldn't think of doing so now. There were some good shows in the first 100 but they generally came when Mike lost control of the premise and let Robb and Oscar take the wheel. Most of the stuff Mike is comfortable with he's already done for 20+ years and one of the best recent improvements is Oscar and Robb will sometimes give Mike crap on air.

Since the move to Florida the Bonus Shows are absolutely indistinguishable from the rest. No inside comments, taboo subjects profanity or games. Never longer than an hour and worse, O'Meara usually seems to have to be dragged to them. He's always complaining about how tough it is to make time and he often lets us know on the regular show when there's "two to do today". It's also the reason they moved the Mailbag and Birthdays. The drop n quality since Mike's move has been huge. And since the idea that there's anything special to the Bonus is ridiculous the new tact is that listeners should buy it to support the show. Or as a fair trade for the week of free content. That's supposedly how they pitched the dopey book.

That was totally fucked up. Although no one said anything about it, I would hope one of the other 3 (especially Facebook wiz Headdd) would give him a pep talk about it. I'm sure they didn't, though. They know it's a waste of time.

Well, let's add Vince Lombardi to the growing list of voices LFF either can't do, or can't be bothered to prep for. That opening was dreadful. Somehow, he was closer to Jackie Mason than Lombardi.

Supposedly, in a couple days of badgering, they've gone from '100' subscribers down, to '70' to '45' today. I assume that O5car and Pony come up with a lower number each day just to appease LFF, and by the time he figures out they were lying, LFF will have no memory of their counts.

He's too lazy to even look up the roman numerals for this years Super Bowl. Or listen to Oscar and Robb mention them moments before. And then he gets them wrong anyway.

TMOS is doing a live event, Jimmy's mom dies, no show on Monday and Mike's biggest concern? Will the flight be windy-?! He woke Carla up early to let her know he was concerned about wind. Then threatens to drive until Oscar points out that the tickets (presumable bought by the show) would be wasted. I don't think folks in DC should plan on seeing Mike this Sunday.

Good point. Mike and rob hate the fact people who live paycheck to paycheck are able to go on vacation. They are probably still paying off the visa for that trip.

So I made it through Thursday's now, first, I apologize for calling everyone liars.......

Mike said that begging for donations is better than having 18 minutes of commercials per show, I know we haven't had the stats lately, but they are running pretty close to that already. If it would only take another 4-6 minutes of commercials for Mike to relax and do a good show, I say go for it. The whining and being is almost as bad as the stories of being mean to average people doing their jobs.

We mine FB for content here

I listened to this week's begging shows. It actually doesn't bug me. I'd rather TMOS do the NPR thing than ads.

If they are more directly responsible to their listeners maybe they won't suck anymore.

In a world were tmos is funded my per segment micro transactions...everybody txt 44555 if you want to hear the LFF's Dr visit. Txt 4556 if you want to hear MBA stories. Txt 44557 if you want the LPS to be tied to a tree

But we are not podcast hosts, titular heads of a podcast network, with thousands of listeners, spending our evenings drilling down into FB history of certain of our fan club(!) members who mention they can't afford the bonus package (just yet). That's certainly petty, as Mike calls it. It smacks of a sad, sad smallness on his part.

Apples and oranges guy....nobody here is diving into anybody else's profile to judge whether or not they can afford the bonus package and making comments like "well, they're online, they can obviously afford internet"or texted their co-workers to tell them "Fan X went to Disney, albeit in 2013" either...We do it for the only acceptable reasons, vitriolic hatred and thread content, in that order

If you don't object to your photo being on the interwebs, take a bunch of selfies with Spewak over the course of the evening to see how many different stupid expressions he will make. Actually we do, do that all the time here.

What I'm saying is us and TMOS fans drill into TMOS's FB pages for nuggets. If you have a social media profile and are friends / it is public you are exposing yourself to this type of thing.

Glad we're going to have some agents at JOTT to observe the train wreck in person. Can't wait to hear the stories and see the pics.

I just wish someone could get Jimmy out of the way -- maybe tell him his famous wings are burning up in the kitchen -- just long enough so they could hop up on the stage, grab the mic and make a brief statement:

Hey, everybody! We hope you all have a great time, but we'd like to ask you to just relax and stay calm. I mean, if your team loses, please don't

1) Get mad and throw a suitcase or golf club
2) Break any glasses or windows
3) Invite someone to step outside, then fall down and bust your knee
4) Argue with your friends over the best place to watch a space craft
return to earth

Thanks! Have fun and enjoy the Super Bowl!

What the hell is wrong with the klubbers? They really stand by and applaud while Mike audits their finances through Facebook to see who can and can't afford his shitty bonus shows?

Hey, Mike! Why are you paying to go to golf tournaments and then coercing a lonely woman with money to buy you a fucking movie ticket? Maybe people stopped buying your bonus show because it's shit. Hey, Mike...Try Harder, you lazy sack of shit!

How Come People like Beth Ann and Slow Joe both still have jobs in radio but people like LPS and LFF don't? Id say Beth Ann can produce and Slow isnt a lazy ass and actually gets out and pounds the pavement looking for work.

Look at this way: LFF and LPS defied the Peter Principle. (They didn't remain at but fell from their former positions at which they were incompetent). Oscar: case study for your MBA program.

They aren't blessed with assistance from the Patron of Podcasting...If Kappy was stroking checks to them too, they would be worthless as well....As long as podcast welfare is available, Mike will just implore US to "try harder"....When Kappy's free money eventually dries up, he will have to try again as well
