Appliance repairman calls police? I missed that one? Do retell or gimme a show number?

I seem to recall the appliance incident happened around the time he screamed at the sprinkler people for not draining his sprinklers before it froze outside.

The same sprinkler company he stopped paying months before.

And who he didn't call to drain his sprinklers in the first place.

And who he wouldn't have called at all except for the city citing him for the hazard created by his broken sprinklers coating the sidewalk with ice.

Good times.

Sprinklergate update from the Bonus Show: LFF is very pissed that the company didn't winterize his system. Why didn't they? Because he doesn't pay his bills and because his Royal Fatness can't be bothered to schedule the service appointment. "Why do I have to be here for that?"

They also keep recording the show while Mike is on the phone with the Lawn service in the other room. Because they can't stop recording for 5 minutes.

Robb: "You missed the second or third call that he made to the company, which will remain nameless, between the two shows today, in which he, uh, actually used some foul language and raised his voice."

LFF: "Sorry about that, I was dealing with sprinkler issues."
Robb: "How'd it go?"
LFF: "Fuck them! You know what it was? 'An outstanding balance.' I knew that's what it would be. 'Yeah, so we just decided to say fuck you, we won't winterize your system because you didn't pay $75.' Fuck you!"
Robb: "But the thing is, with your icy sidewalks, all your neighbors are going to need to have outstanding balance or they'll fall down."
LFF: "You know what I look forward to Robb, that moment, that moment you were talking to."
Robb: "Oh, and you will get it!"
LFF: "Cause I had to kiss a little ass just there, just to get this thing taken care of, and once that's done, so long assholes!"
Oscar: "Peace out!"
Robb: "Yeah, you will win. You will win in the end. And you know what, the taste of victory- your victory will be sweeter."
LFF: "Exactly. It's close to extortion."
Robb "It is! It is!"
Oscar: "Yeah, a business, wanting to get paid... on time..."
LFF: "Oh, and they're coming next Thursday. "

To recap, the guy that thinks NoVA is the "Land of Entitlement" expects to have his sprinkler system serviced magically without a scheduled appointment and for free after not paying his monthly bill. But it's everyone else's fault of course, and the lawn company sucks. And he'll show them by cancelling the service.

Oscar's dig went completely unnoticed. I also liked in Thursday's show when he essentially told Mike the lawn looked like crap even with a sprinkler system.

couple posts from March 2014 re repairman

I agree there is something to Mike going Full Mike on the repairman and the drinking thing. If it's true the repairman threatened to call the cops, that had to be a hell of a blowup...booze had to play a role in that (Mike sitting around the house all day, liquor-filled 7-Eleven Hobbitt collector's cup in hand). As for Mike being "on the wagon," the only wagon he's on is the Budweiser beer wagon. He's lost two marriages, two shows and two daughters. If those weren't game changers, screaming at some guy named Miguel about an appointment window certainly isn't.

Crazy thing is that Mike tried to justify his tirade by saying repairman interfered with baby's bedtime routine. So, guy arrived 50 mins late -- it's not as though he would be pulling cable or banging on drywall, he was simply repairing a burner on the stove. Mike Jr sleeps upstairs. I guarantee his daddy's screamed profanities were more disruptive than a quiet kitchen repair.

Only Bonus show I ever bought, worth every penny...Thanks for the transcription FHC, it was the catalyst...As a side note, it took hours for the show to show up in my queue, I emailed Pony repeatedly, with screencaps included and heard nothing from him(shocker right?) eventually it showed up and I emailed Pony to tell him it FINALLY showed up(no thanks to him) and the next day(over 12 hours after I had sent the confirmation that it FINALLY showed up), I finally got a note from Pony saying it appeared to be in my queue..."No shit dumbass, that's what I told you a half a daty ago, where were you when I needed your assistance"...and thus is the tale of my first and last TMOS purchase

Eerily similar was my experience with Ronick; I paid for a few single bonus shows and it took an average of 3 days to get them, and then only after I complained! I of course never paid for another.

I laughed at Robb's outstanding balance joke (in print). His cheeseball delivery usually sucks, though.

yep...thing that really pissed me off was that I sent screencaps of my empty queue, and he responded HOURS later with, "I don't know, it's there now" like I was the moron...it also pissed me off that he didn't respond until after it was there and he knew it, because he replied to MY email telling him so...Thanks for nothing Pony, now I know why you don't have a REAL job too

It was worth it to hear Mike act like he was going to get revenge on a company he couldn't afford to pay by canceling his service...Classic Mike...and the indignity of having to schedule an appointment when you are a shut-in? PRICELESS
