Mike needs to ask himself how many of the Top 25 podcasts actually net a profit. My guess would be close to none.

I agree that this show is sucking air. It's not nearly as entertaining as Mike's show was on WJFK. I miss Katie and Joe. I miss callers. I miss the power of 5. I miss the variety. All these guys talk about is the show itself and themselves - and that's not funny. It's really not funny. Robb is the only one laughing- and he laughs at anything Mike says. What an ass-kisser. Mike should drop Robb and Oscar. If Buzz was allowed to be funny - the show would be much funnier. Buzz is witty and wise. Talking about youtube videos doesn't make for good radio. LOTS of things they talk about are visual and don't make gor good radio. Mike is good at impressions - he should do those for like 1/2 the show. They need to find FT jobs and do this shiow as a hobby. It's not going to pay any bills.

So I've been downloading the Steve Dahl show from itunes. This is the guy old Donnierino based the old Don and Mike show on. Actually I think this started being the case after the real super producer Diana Silman left. Did donnie g. name buzz burbank for steve dahl's buzz. anyways I don't understand, this steve dahl just seems to prattle on and on and has a jackal like robbay laughing all the time at stuff that hardly seems funny. why not push old steve dahl past TMOS on the itunes comedy charts. I just wouldn't recommend listening too it. How about Mark Maron?

It would be interesting to learn the real motivation behind MoM shelving the RAW shows. Did they get a cease and desist for copyright infringement? Did Carrie read Rob(b) the riot act after she heard his segment? Did they realize how embarrassing it was after the fact? Was the paypal set-up such a total fuck-up that they weren't getting paid for the downloads?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Who knows?

One things for sure. They evidently didn't make enough cash to fund their webcam or live caller effort.

And according to their show recap from Friday, they talked about ham.............

Wow.

Seriously, how hard is it to patch a fucking phone line into a board? Hell, set up a free Skype Account and ask listeners to call in on it! (Carolla did that for a year).

These people don't want a phone line because they know what they will get.

I would think that allowing listeners to phone in and bust their balls--and in turn have MOM bust the callers' balls--would actually make the 'show' entertaining. I would actually download the podcast were this to happen. One of the best things about Don G's and Howard Stern's shows are when they get into arguments with callers.

The difference is that Donnie G and Howard Stern have thick skins and know this is entertaining. Mike has skin as thick as his Harley sound effect and takes everything personally and cries like a little bitch at the slightest hint of criticism.

Yeah I remember Mike used to misinterpret callers all the time thinking they were trying to bust his balls when they really weren't and he'd start to go off. All he really got on his show were kiss-asses anyways since all calls were screened, unlike with Don, so I don't know what he was worried about.

If Mike could develop a thicker skin it might work. And wittier rebuttals would help other than just raising his voice screaming about not being Don and his lick, pinch, curl bullshit. Rob is actually pretty good at being funny while beating critics down. He actually tried this on the real radio show a few times early on and was immediately checked by Buzz and Mike leaving no doubt that they were going the Jack Diamond way.

Mikes in an impossible position no matter what he does podcasting. He needs to get back on the air in some capacity and that means dumping Rob and Buzz. Not sure how his plan for the band would fit in. Doesn't Diamond do that still?

It sounded like this "white noise iPad app" guy probably works with Oscar or is Oscar's boss. Doesn't Oscar work for a company that deals with Apple applications? Sounds like this guy was invited on the show as a trade for developing an app for Mike's one hour waste of bandwith. Talk about a boring show today.

And one other thing. How many people are actually downloading this podcast? Last week O'Meara said it was about 25,000 a day. I highly doubt that because it's only the same half-dozen or so goons (Drew, Ron, HarrySTruman, ThePenisMightier to name a few) that are the only people leaving comments on the show's website everyday.

If 25,000 were listening everyday there would a hell of a lot more comments posted.

If only 1% of their so-called 25,000 listeners posted a comment on the website on any given day, there would be 250 comments per each episode.

Right now there is only an average of about 15-20 comments per episode each day... translating to less than one-tenth of 1% of those supposed 25,000 listeners posting a comment each day.

The comment numbers don't lie... There is no way 25,000 are listening to Mike's podcast. The number of comments on the website would be much higher if there was.

His own numbers were 15,000 downloads a day a few weeks ago. Personally I think only a few thousand listen per day.

I "tuned-in" today. Seems like Mike always makes his podcast download pleas and such around Robs segment.Today his stated goal was to get the show in the top 20 on I-Tunes Comedy Chart. Then he said "it does make a difference". Whaa?

Oscar and Todd(I think) used to do a show at WJFK called Tech 411. They also developed a few apps together including the pretty cool Flux Capacitor app. I would imagine they also did the O'Meara show podcast app which is pretty professional compared to the show it's self. It has a few soundboards and a direct download option. The soundboards would be better if they were taken from the show but unfortunately are pretty canned and sound forced. But you have to give Oscar props for taking the time to do something Mike probably has no comprehension of. You probably can still get it at the shoe site, although I haven't opened it since the day I downloaded it.

Nice copyright infringement of the Harley logo on that t-shirt... Man these guys suck. First they steal Jerry Lewis' picture to beg for money, Robb plays all kinds of cuts on the show without artists permission, and now this.

Would it kill them to come up with an original idea for once?

Oh yeah... That's right... I forgot, these schmucks have no talent and have to steal other people's ideas and work to make a buck. God forbid they actually come up with something unique... apparently they don't have the brain power... they must be busy eating all day.

Is it really that farfetched of a scenario that two lazy, fat, unemployed, podcasters would post on a blog defending themselves using a dimwitted pseudonym? It seems that the only substantial interaction with the outside world happens to occur online now for these two as they settle into a make-believe world of cyber-sycophants and paranoia. They must turn to online social media to feed their starved egos and when the complement well runs dry, they unleash their pent-up aggression here.

As official Don Geronimo stalker here at FFU there may be some movement soon on where DG may land. Good news for those of us who like entertaining radio and bad news for MOM and members of his Dork Squad like Perry.

This from Don's twitter: 2day could very well end up as a very significant day.Or it could turn out to be total shit.No risk.no reward Sorry2get all TonyRobbins on U.

What? You mean Don isn't going to drag Mike and the gang on his coattails to Houston or Atlanta or wherever he ends up? Isn't that part of Mike's deal with the devil?

Ya I don't know...... Mike's contractual agreement with the Devil may have been the first one ever to be breeched and released by the Devil after seeing no redeeming value in retaining said contract.

Knowing your rhetorical question demands a no answer, Don will have to go through a re-building process wherever he lands before he'll bring anyone back on board. Like you've pointed out before this will be tough to do in the current environment.

It is nice to see a little action in the industry however small besides the perpetual talent match-up game in the Sports Talk format. The big question for CBS is how big of a threat Don will be if they let him go. Kind of reminds you of the NFL draft. Speaking of which, congrats on McNabb

mclardtard, believe me when I say this - you have listened to more of the O'Meara podcasting this week than I have in a lifetime. How do I know? It is impossible for anyone to have listened to any less than I have.

Here's what you aren't getting. It isn't as a fan of Mike O'Meara I bust your chops. I do it because I simply love making fun of fat fucks who think they are funny but really aren't. See, we are back to that whole mctubby and O'Meara have a ton (no pun intended) in common.

You and O'Meara need to spend less time trying to be funny online and get out and get some excercise. I bet you are eating a box of ding dongs right now as you read this. Probably chasing it down with a Mountain Dew. Wipe the crumbs off your lap and get fit you unfunny fatass.

Judging by the writing above, I can tell that there are some real uneducated people that like to post meaningless crap on the internet. One way to tell how stupid a post sounds is to read it out loud. Try it now... Read Perry's post aloud.... Doesn't it sound like something a fifth-grader would say? I wish people would stay on topic instead of acting like 9 year olds and ruining a perfectly good thread.

In the end, we can really see who is smarter than a fifth-grader just by reading their posts.... apparently a lot of people on here need to be sent back to repeat the fifth grade.

Hard to imagine the numbers CBS would be contemplating. Not sure what Syrius/XM could offer but could it match Howard's original contract?... It's doubtful.

Howard's original deal, worth approximately $100 million a year for all costs, included a bonus stock payment of $83 million for Stern in January 2007 for surpassing subscriber goals set in 2004. The deal placed Stern as the second richest celebrity of 2004 at $302 million, ahead of George Lucas and Oprah Winfrey.

This is Howard in Oct. of 2009:

"Tomorrow I could go on the internet and start my own channel with my own subscribers. You’d be able to click and watch us on TV, watch us in the studio live, streaming. You’d be able to listen to us streaming. You’d be able to get us on your iPhone. You’d be able to do everything right at the click of the internet. I wouldn’t even need to work for a company. I’d be my own company… So true it’s ridiculous."

Hmmmm. Dunno Howard.

Don if lucky could sign for 500Grr a year probably including incentives depending on what his agent can leverage of course. Wouldn't CBS/Clear Channel be about the only one that could toss around that kind of risk?

Regardless the next 6 mos in the "real" comedy radio industry will be fun to watch.

Stern could conceivably do an Internet show. If he charged $10 a month and had 1 million subscribers, that's a pretty nice revenue stream. He's probably the only one out there who could do it, though.

Jeff, I mean mclardtard,

Because you are too stupid to figure this out on your own, I am going to give you some free advice.

When you are going to post under a name different than your registered one, DON'T WRITE IN THE EXACT SAME WRITING STYLE.

For example, mcplumper and Jeff coincidentally love to excessively and unnecessarily use the elipsis (...) when writing. It is a dead fucking giveaway.

Jeff:
"Try it now... Read Perry's post aloud...." and "by reading their posts...."

mcfatass:

"Fuck You Perry..." "Ya I don't know......" "Oh Buzz…" "Jeez..... White noise?... To block out what?....."

Wow, after looking up and down this page at mcflabby's use of the elipsis, you can spot all of his fake posts (David Harleyson and a few others). You are too stupid to even fake post to yourself correctly. All that fat must be squeezing off the oxygen to your brain.

Heed this tip moron and you might actually be able to pull it off, but now that you have been outed, you will always be a suspect.

You make getting the best of your stupid fatass way to fucking easy.

As for being smarter than a fifth grader, I think we all know the answer to that one. You have just been proven dumber than a special ed first grader.

The dog, food and an actor who hasn't been relevant for 20 years. Glad to see that Mike is stepping up his game.

Exactly. Hey Johnny if you check it out, find out what the food thing is to and if Mike's dog pooped again or if Mike wet himself.

Today was probably the most scariest Mike O'Meara Show ever. Mike practically has a coronary and seriously fights with Buzz for not wanting to drag his Weber BBQ over to Mike's for their BBQ show on Friday. Then Mike also rips into him about wanting to bring salmon. Mike was furious at Buzz, pretty much about nothing, and then belittles him during the podcast while Rob and Oscar sit there in a total awkward silence. You could cut the tension in the room with a knife. It made for a good show in a dramatic sense, but on the other hand it made Mike look like a TOTAL IDIOT. What a goddam joke this show has become, it shows what a control freak and hairtrigger temper that Mike has. Here's a comment from their web site about today's episode that'll probably get deleted:

Matt says:
April 7, 2010 at 6:05 pm
Wow Mike, chill out dude… I could hear the blood vessel pumping in your neck as I listened to today’s show. Relax man. Have Marc go buy a defibrillator for upcoming shows just in case. It sounds like you’lll need it. No need to jump all over Buzz for not wanting to throw his dirty BBQ in his probably spotless Acura. Besides, the salmon will be good for you… it might actually lower your blood pressure.

Mike, I am fully expecting to hear an apology to Buzz on tomorrow’s show… if that doesn’t happen, I won’t listen anymore.

I didn't hear it and don't plan to. However I doubt it was anything more than a fake put on. Girls having a pillow fight for the camera. Like Oh Wow! their fighting! How much of the one hour did it fill? They sure are showmen.. Fuck those assholes.

Go back to when Don told Mike he could do a successful show without him but not vice versa..............Now that was a real fight.

Exactly, no one could fake that level of assholeness. Perhaps having no money to pay the bills is getting to O'Meara. Carla's probably being a bitch to him now more than ever for not getting off his pasty white lardass and looking for a job instead of playing pretend broadcaster in a wire covered living room.

He doesn't realize it, but Mike is slowly and unconsciously turning into Internet Radio Tommy. Something he despises.

Buzz sounded today like he was about to get up and leave. He should of. Are cracks starting to show up in this S.S. Minnow of a podcast? Or is it a Titanic?

Mike was just angry because his scheme to get the crew to buy him enough food for the weekend was foiled by Buzz. That's all this is...a scam for food. He needs about 12,000 calories a day to maintain his weight. Salmon won't cut it. He needs high fat bulk.

O'meara proved on today's podcast why he is no longer on the radio. Oscar nailed it today when he said, "It sounds like my parents are fighting." Nobody wants to listen to this kind of garbage. People want to be entertained, and not have to listen to a fight between guys in their 50s that are out of work and have no money. The stress of being broke is starting to make its appearance on the O'meara show. It will drive listeners away to more upbeat podcasts that have more stable talent.

Mike said that when Buzz showed up today, the first thing he said was, "Where's my money?" (I'm sure that Buzz wasn't really that blunt about it -- but he must've voiced some concerns that they're still not making any money from this thing.)

I think that's what really ticked Mike off. Not the salmon or Buzz's refusal to lug his Weber grill over to Mike's place. I get the feeling Mike was ticked off even before the show started because Buzz dared to bring up the money issue.

These guys aren't going to hang around O'meara's living room forever if there's little or no money coming in. Except for maybe Spewak, he is the ultimate parasite that will cling mightily to it's host until the bitter end. This podcast was not a good move for Elston, a total waste of his gas, time and energy, only to get treated like shit as he works for little or no money. It seems that O'meara's ego won't accept the fact that CBS canceled his show, so he had to move it into his living room. I still can't fathom why he didn't put any feelers out in the marketplace and look for other opportunities about this time last year when the writing was on the wall for his JFK show. It seems like he just wasted the past year. This podcast mess just seems like a self-syndication experiment that has gone horribly wrong. O'meara needs to cut his losses and move on. Although it does sound like he's got a pretty successful t-shirt operation that revolves around men of 'larger carriage'. Maybe he should get into the big-and-tall clothing business instead.

I just now went back and listened to the fight, and it sounds like they edited out the money comment from O'meara and reloaded the podcast. Plus it seems like they argued for a little bit longer when I first listened to the show @ about noonish Pacific time. Obviously there was a little control-freaking going in O'meara's head after they did the show, so they went back & clipped it. Dumb move.

The edits were probably in response to listener comments.

Oscar, Rob(b) and Buzz need to wake up to the fact that they aren't going to see shit from Mike in the way of money. I have no doubt that Mike, based on his tone toward Buzz, believes that he is doing all of the work and that Oscar, Rob(b) and Buzz don't deserve to be paid for their efforts. I would not be surprised if Mike's ego, and lack of other revenue sources, simply won't allow him to be decent about the money issue.

Yes, and I think Mike tried to lay a big ol' guilt trip on Buzz (i.e.,this show would be more successful if you tried harder to do your part.)

Yeah, Mike. I'm sure it would make all the difference in the world if Buzz would only bring his Weber grill over to your house for the stupid grilling show.

Seriously, what a tool.

I give Buzz props for having the guts to bring up the money issue to Mike. I get the feeling Robb would like to do the same thing but doesn't want to confront him (knowing how volatile Mike is).

The fact that Buzz brought it up "on the air" gives me the feeling that Mike has been avoiding the issue "off the air." Mike was probably pissed that Buzz put him on the spot in front of everyone. Buzz doesn't strike me as a particularly confrontational guy, so I have to assume this has been dragging out for quite some time and that Buzz is probably speaking on behalf of the other two, as well.

Buzz didn't actually bring it up on the air. He must've asked Mike about it before the show. Mike brought it up saying, "the first thing you said to me when you got here today was, 'where's my money?'" (I really doubt Buzz was that blunt about it though)

I didn't listen yet but judging by their message board I think Mike has accidentally generated a "controversy".

I mean wow! 22 comments as opposed to their usual 15 or so. Several of them referencing the fight! Mike I'm sure was just running his cock gobbler as usual. It felt good creating a little fake energy at Buzz so he went with it and now he's licking his chops and thinking he's a genius because of all the buzz around his beat down of Buzz.

Believe me if He thought anything was too un-Jack Diamondish, like the purported money comment, it would have been red-flagged and never made the upload. If someone has an early version on tunes this could be verified.

It will be interesting to see how they play it today if at all. Mike will probably reference it as "Hey were here sharing our real life all laid out on the radio here, hearts on my sleeve." Spontaneous, what you see is what you get! Real people and reality radio! Were all best friends here and sometimes we fight!..............Right...........Bullshit.

Things will eventually begin to erode but Mike will try his damndest to keep his smiley ass Jack Diamond face on it. Mike still harbors a lot of resentment towards Don and I think it grows everyday he wakes up and looks at his train wreck of a life crumbling around him. Mike thought he was going to really stick it in Dons face by proving he could succeed in radio with his special brand of morning zoo/Jack Fucking Diamond fake ass bullshit style of radio..

He had better concentrate on his I-Tune Comedy ranking as it has slipped to 39th.

I hadn't realized that. Sounds like Mike brought it up on the air to embarrass Buzz. If Mike had it cut out later, he probably did it to hide the fact they aren't making any money. Not to spare Buzz's feelings.

I love how Mike is all "poor me" about the fucking show prep. I mean, half the show is audio vault and Buzz's news. The other half is Mike talking about iTunes rankings and his dog's shit. There's no guests. No listener call ins. Virtually no pre-production on Mike's part. I mean, how much prep goes into something like that? It's really something for Mike to bitch at guys who drive half-an-hour or more to get to his house every day for no pay while he rolls out of bed, walks downstairs with his tumbler of vodka and "phones in" his performance.

OK I listened to the money comment..That does sound like vintage bitter Mike. What a low class thing to bring up on his part. It certainly does catalyze some genuine conflict between Mike and Buzz in the exchange.

Mikes heard the question before though, "Where's my Money!"
Probably flashed back to his restaurant days where he allegedly stiffed a few of his staff on their last paychecks.

Where's the money? What money? The RAW money? Mike I'm sure thinks he deserves it all for studio rental space in his basement. I'm sure in his mind he's asking where else are we going to do the podcast? Robs house? I'm sure Carries already put her foot down on that. So where's the money? Probably helping delay the inevitable foreclosure on Mike's Hacienda.

I don't blame Buzz for wanting to keep his car clean.... He may end up living in it.

First, given the debacle of the paypal thing, I imagine Mikey collected far less than the download numbers would indicate. Second, I have no doubt Mike has paid a lot more for bandwidth than he originally anticipated. Third, Mike's ego is so fucking big that he actually believes he is doing everything when he is actually doing next to nothing.

"Where's the money?"

There is no money. There wasn't much to begin with, and what came in has been spent. But Mike doesn't want anyone to know this, or they won't keep working for free.

Why did Buzz get a facelift, anyway? So that beef jerky-skinned she-male he calls a wife won't leave?

Now only are you and mclardtard unfunny, you are retarded. Buzz got a facelift so that Plastic Surgery Associates of Northern Virginia would remain a sponsor. Does everything have to spelled out for you two?

Wait. Did Buzz pay these guys for the facelift? Is that "the money" he referenced?

God what a cluster fuck.

If the face lift was part of a trade or barter deal for advertisement Mike probably figures he has Buzz payed up for awhile.I'm sure Mike thinks After all if it wasn't for "his" podcast there would have been no $3000.00 face lift.

Still I can't emphasize enough what a low class thing this issue was for Mike to bring up in public. If Mike really owes Buzz money he should pay or deal with it in private. If this is the way it's going down Mike is an absolute piece of shit. Buzz must have felt like the lowest life form having to come up with a diplomatic way to approach Mike on this issue. He has probably been losing sleep over it. All just to have it paraded out in public at Mike's first opportunity.

I feel privileged that I can and am happy to pay my employee's every week. My son works with me and is a big part of the business. I couldn't imagine disrespecting him or any one of our employee's like that. I would be embarrassed to the hilt if I ever made a mistake like that and would apologize in front of everyone for how stupid and insensitive I was and ask for forgiveness and promise to try and not be such an asshole in the future. Mike should do the same if he has any sense of decency left.

I thought about giving today's podcast a try, and then I saw the Facebook blurb which mentioned not watching American Idol. I used to get pissed off enough when the old D&MS would devote entire hours to discussing a show I've never watched once -- leave it to the MOMS to continue the tradition, even though now apparently they don't watch the show either. Then there was a mention about some airline bitching, which I inferred was really about how fat Mike is.

Has anyone guesstimated the number of dumps Mike takes a day? Eight? Ten?
