Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
I legit stopped listening to BOAD about 4 years ago and I was a straight up premium subscriber before I threw in the towel. I punched out on TMOS about a year later. Before jumping ship on TMOS I had bought all the DVDs and some other random crap. So needless to say, I was a "P1" for both shows before being driven away by each show's heavier co-hosts (Chad, Mike, and Robb were all enough for me to finally pull the plug). I've kept up with the drama here though because this thread is awesome. All that being said, I've tuned back in these last few days with all the Oscar drama and I am riveted. Or as Chad would say, my pants are around my ankles. If these idiots want to sell shows and ads, they might want to considering dragging this shit out a bit. But of course Mike doesn't get it so he'll probably stop talking about it openly. And Chad, well Chad's a pussy. He still thinks Mike has some kind of pull/relevance/whatever and is too scared to keep it going. So yeah, they'll all ruin the only interesting thing that's happened on either show in at least three years.

Did not mean to lead anyone astray. I'm not a regular TMOS listener (being here is much more fun) and did not hear the show in question, so I could only assume Chad was speaking truth. Mea culpa.
I thought for sure that they played a BOAD clip on either Friday or Monday's show. I thought it was Friday's but just went back and checked and couldn't find it. I thought it was a clip where Chad and Drab were calling Oscar a pathological liar on their Thursday show. It may be there, and I've skipped over it, but I couldn't find it again.
Anyone else thinks the show was delayed today to prevent a Mike blowup by having an extra long pre-show meeting? Of course, they also decided to completely ignore what's been happening this week.

Agree with most of this except Chad still fearing Mike. Chad is definitely a pussy and he took some pretty good shots at Mike on the show. Think Chad probably realizes Mike has burnt every bridge and has no pull whatsoever in the radio business anymore. Chad would never even think of saying the things he said back when Mike still had some pull.
Think of it. He thinks of one original thing and beats it to fucking death. He's probably sitting at the keyboard with his tumbler of Crown giggling and smelling his finger...the only person thinking what he's proffered is funny.
Mr Thickness cant be Eightt, Mr Thickness spends like two weeks of every month in Hawaii. The proof is in all those pictures that Mr Thickness is going to post any day now, as soon as he gets them 'developed.' Nobody as happening as Eightt would yearn for the 1980's and talk about getting pictures 'developed', surely?
I was amazed at the moment when Oscar almost got up on BOAD. He sounded REALLY upset. With that being said, I loved how drab and Chad didn't back down.
If it were TMOS, someone would have backed down immediately, diffused the situation and gone bsck to laughing like hyenas.
When Chad piles on Drab for no reason, I fast forward. I was completely behind team Chad and Drab this time. "My bandwidth is so low!" made me want to throw a tomato at LOLscar. Just own up and admit it's the T-Cells that are low. He's a damn drama queen, and I'm glad someone called him out on it. LFF and Blob(b) are so completely worthless in any capacity that their wagon is securely hitched to the Santana train. Most people in an "Executive MBA Program" are actually working a real job, not handling a podcast a few hours of the day. Almost everything Oscar has said he is learning, needs to improve on, or spends too much time on is basic accounting, not business development. If he thinks there is anything the unique Zappos corporate culture can do to improve the failcast, he truly has his head so far up his own ass that he can't even begin to handle the reality of the situation he is in.
Also, I'm glad they're looking for a new intern who can edit video. Surely that will pave the way to that viral success they've been drooling over for years. Apparently RoFo wasn't capable enough to teach LFF how to create the perfect sure-shot viral video. While we're at it, blame Mad Fox for serving "grain alcohol" (6% ABV) and calling it beer.

Much appreciated. I want to hear the part about TMOS, but otherwise can't stand Chad Dukes.
is there anyone that can explain what the hell rob did to his car??
sounds like he ran over something, but the explanation just didn't make any sense. what the hell did he run over?????
he said something about those concrete dividers they use between parking spaces, but that's why he couldn't drive forward to get outta his space. so, he backed up and tore some shit up.
He pulled too far into a parking space, and per Mike's example, ran aground on its concrete curb. When he backed off it, it messed up his bumper/undercarriage.

He put as much effort into that as he did into his taking KCJJ's Steve and Jan Bridges Soboroff on a tour of DC. He just drove them around -- there's the White House, there's the Washington Monument, etc.

As much as I love the crossover, I wonder how much of this drama is manufactured by Oscar so he can talk about how overwhelmed he is and how much he has on his plate etc.

Misery reference is so damn apt for Spewak stories
Spewak is the only person who likes O'Meara. For Oscar it has become a business relationship. Chad is only nice to Mike because Oscar is in the middle.

Probably tore off the clips that hold the lower plastic fascia, maybe damaged some transmission cooler pipes. Just a guess; that's what happens when your suspension bottoms out when your 400-lb mass sits in one corner of the passenger compartment. Let's not forget all the crap memorabilia he probably hides from Cary, in the trunk.

It's the first time I've listened in 6+ months, because it sounded interesting, but it seems that Mike has worked on trying to be calmer...so it was terribly boring.

If you watch the video of that TMOS show you'll see LFF talking through clenched yellowed teeth or putting on a fake smile. He did a slow burn the entire show. (Would have been great to hear him at home after he signed off.) That's LFF's great debating skills at work.

You'd think he love to combine his two loves -- gambling and power walking.
But if he got in shape, he'd be self-loathing, as he cannot abide people who have the nerve to flaunt being physically fit. Flaunt, as in go about their lives, like his sister, brother-in-law, nephews, etc., etc.

So if every other dumbass in his loser family has a MBA, they must be pretty common. Maybe Oscar should have gone to McDonald's Burger University. Not as much prestige, but way less debt.
for the first time ever, I'll stick up for Mike in this regard about the MBA's. Oscar was making point that it's time consuming, etc.; Mike cut him off with the comment that he knows that to be true, based on the MBA'ers in his family.

Nope. Mike says specifically that he is entirely aware of everything entailed in getting an MBA because some members of his family have them. Really? Intimately familiar with all the requirements? Maybe he should be awarded an honorary one.

Can Oscar ever stop whining about all the shit he has to deal with and talk about going to work and school like he's the first beaner to ever go through a MBA program? I'm glad Mike is shutting him up about it already.

I wonder if the fine company that makes Rascal Heavy Dooty Scooters has an affiliate program. How long until they become a valued sponsor of the "show"? Now that's a product I can see the klubbers buying.

Jesus. How old is this kid? He wants to be a ninja or a dinosaur or Power Ranger. Way to fuck up your kid's Halloween by making him part of your political "non-political" agenda. What three year old WOULDN'T want to dress up as a 70-year-old man? ALL OF THEM!!!!
He even makes his own kid's holiday all about himself. I'm sure Junior wouldn't have preferred to wear a costume that he enjoyed. And the whole thing started because LFF didn't want to spend $30 on a costume. How much was the button maker, glasses, etc? Hope they're saving up for therapy later in life.
Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/29/2015 01:35PM by Four Hour Club.
Surely the klubbers see the problem with this. I know he's "cute," but it's HIS holiday! The poor kid is going to feel like shit when he's out there seeing all the kids in costumes he wanted to wear. Mike can have two houses, ecigarettes and lobster. But when it comes to baby gates and REAL Halloween costumes? Tough shit, kid.
Mike will make his eyes Godless, too, soon enough.

Yeah, I call BS on that too. My kid went through law school and I know it was damned tough, but I don't delude myself to act like I know just what it was like.
I have an appreciation for the work entailed with graduate programs. I don't have to know ALL that is involved to do so. Mike was conceding Oscar's point that he's got a lot going on.
Get your head out of the fucking bottle and be a dad to your kid. He didn't ask to be born. But here he is. It doesn't take that much effort to get a decent costume and help him carve a pumpkin. Quit being such a selfish jackass and be a fucking father.

Spewak dressed his kids up as Mamie Eisenhower and Adlai Stevenson when they were about Mikey's age.
I would assume whatever links TMOS got for those affiliate programs probably expired and they took the banners down. It takes a lot of work filling out an online application, downloading and posting new ads. What, 10 minutes total? Too bad Oscar has low bandwidth.

And then when they were dressed he kept asking, WHO ARE YOU?!?!?
When FDB's fortunes changed at the real radio station, there was a day when he was such a bitter bitch that he didn't go in to work. He didn't tell the story about how he blew off his last week of work at WVRX 105.9 The Edge after the show he was on there got cancelled. I used to listen to that show online, so minus the classic rock, and it was okay. Kirk and Mike had a good chemistry.
Sugar highs in kids are a real thing. Fuckwaddle has met doctors, so he's basically an MD.
FDB can tell a glory-hole story without telling about how he drilled a hole in his sister's shower when he was a kid.
It seems to be true that Fatt Rob couldn't catch any job at all at WJFK after the flip. If only there were other radio stations in the area... on the other hand I can relate to the urge to curl up like those little roly-poly bugs. But F. Rob has succeeded in making a career out of it.
Let it not be forgotten that Joe Ardinger had a weekly show on WJFK after the flip. Don't now if he got paid for it, but it was listenable.
-----------
Pro-tip: you can avoid jury duty by simply ignoring the notice unless they send it certified in your area. They don't follow up on it. Just don't admit you got it on a recording on the internet.
Pro-tip: when someone says "it wasn't my decision" that may or may not actually be true.

I was offered several jobs, but I truly wanted to start something fresh and new with my old pal Mike and Buzz (at the time), with new friend Oscar.
We have been going strong for over 8 years.
Come join the fun daily @ www.mikeomearashow.com
P.S. At least we put out FREE content daily, unlike some others (with whom shall not be named)
Anyway, Robb and Mike have reached "Fat Guy " give up mode.
Vegas? Too big!
Car? Too low to the ground!
Robb doesn't realize that his car has become a scale of sorts. He tipped a new high and now can only park in spaces that are clear of any obstacles, like handicapped spaces.
Pretty soon Mike won't want to go to Costco, "Too much damn walking!"
Mike is rejecting the original mode God gave him for transportation. Wow...
Vegas is a big city? Really? It's spread out, but not terribly big.
So I guess that diet thing they discussed with Rofo is done.

"with whom??" It just be Spewak -- not only the errors, but the failure to realize he can edit his own posts. Kinda like his belief he has to have a mirror handy to do a selfie with his latest LP purchase.
Yeah I thought it was 6 too, but to Robb everything is a solid 8!!
In that time Robb "ate" everything so maybe that's what he meant.
And Robb, the business has passed you by. Just like your weight not goal.
New technology, new formats, new everything.
But Robb you moved forward too! You can navigate a Mackie board and an Ipad! Pretty impressive! You are fully qualified to run a band at the local bar!

I don't know about wanting to be a ninja or power ranger. The poor kid has never spent any time with someone his own age, only his parents, golfers and oldsters in cocoonville, and LFF's family and grown kids in Maine. His TV watching is the golf channel and PBS stuff. Maybe he's pissed he couldn't dress up as Bubba Watson.
Not only is LFF excited about taking all the joy out of Jr.'s Halloween but also taking all the good candy and leaving the poor boy with generic candy from the 99 cent stores that the geriatric pensioners in his neighborhood buy. Too bad Mike can't afford to fly the family out to Granite Bay, CA, for some of Doni's full-size name brand candybars.

Of course it is, but I'm sure RoFo remembers, because it was going to be easy money for him. O8car likely remembers, too, and will bring it up at some point to shame the fatties.
So Mike pledges to Oscar that the show belongs to all of them, not just him, yet when Oscar tries to tell his Vegas story Mike interrupts him constantly. If Mike were telling a story and Oscar interrupted him that Mike, we'd get Full Mike.

Yeah, that'll come next year when he is in preschool. LFF said he and Carla picked one yesterday. I assume he meant it was for the kid and not LFF, with his brekky-brekky, din din and big potty.
it's the weekend and we know Robb and Mike will be checking in so....

Hey you fatt fucks, got any health insurance yet?
Hey Carla, it was all fun and games when you were a clubbing party doll but now you're married to a fatt old fuck who can't afford to insure his family! Remember those IT nerds who used to put dollar bills in your thong? Yeah, they have big houses in Ashburn and health insurance, and only go to Florida for Miami. How long do you have to dig to find the "Irish Mushroom"? Fuck, your husband can't even afford decent pizza! Little Ceasar's Carla? that's what it's come to?
Hey Mike, ready for the diet challenge with Rofo?
Didn't think so!

This is probably the reason Robbay gained back all of the weight he lost on WeightSnot. He knew Mike would be pissed if he stayed thin and in shape. And having Mike pissed at him would be the worst thing in the world, so "Cary, another tater tot casserole, RIGHT NOW!!!"
