It's amazing to me how little Mike understands an industry he worked in for two decades. Jack Diamond and Kirk both "get it." They've seen people move up and down the corporate ladder over the years. They know sometimes you have to bide your time in a second tier or third tier market until a better opportunity presents itself. They know you have to sit through sales and promotion meetings when your on-air shift is done (you mean radio really isn't a four-hour a day job?). Most of all, they know radio is a small world. A lot of these GMs and PMs know each other or know people who know each other. Leaving a station in a lurch by cutting out a week early or walking off mid-show gets around. Jack and Kirk understand these things and still have successful radio careers. Apparently Mike's need to "make a point" by being arrogant and burning bridges is more important than being smart.

I mean, he chased off Ronic and RJ, both of whom booked real live paying advertisers. Now he's pissed off Amazon and Fan Duel (seriously, how is such a thing possible).
