That seems be Todd Moore's "mode of operation". He makes pathetic, high school computer club quality versions of very successful apps then tries to pawn himself off as some type of programming savant. That piece of crap "Cumpulsive" (or whatever the fuck it was called) was a blatant copy of a very popular jewel-swap game but with plain, boring colored blocks instead of jewels (graphics of precious stones are apparently are too complicated to program), and his white noise app was about the 5000th one to hit the app store.

Actually I know Mike doesn't think about this thread or us at all. He also doesn't think about his "show" or the people who listen to it. That's why this thread exists. Because Mike is a self absorbed asshole.

There's a saying in Texas: "He's all hat and no cattle." That's a Texas way of calling someone a poser. Oscar is a poser. He's all business without the success.

By any business measure, the podcast has been a failure. Year over year the audience has shrunk, the revenue streams have shrunk and the revenue has shrunk. There has been nothing approaching a business plan or strategy. It's main value proposition (new term for you to misuse, Oscar) has been appealing to people's sense of charity. In other words, there is no value proposition.

Here's a quick business lesson for Oscar. Marketing consists of four P's (Product, Price, Place and Promotion).

Product - Your product sucks. Fix it, or every other effort is wasted.
Price - You are giving your shit away for free and when you do charge, the product isn't enough to justify any price.
Place - Your current distribution is insufficient and you've done nothing to expand the footprint of your brand.
Promotion - You've done virtually nothing to promote your product beyond the people who are already using it.

Oscar - Buy some cattle and be a cowboy. Quit pretending.

Week of 10/14: Mike attacks Pony for his inability to operate the Skype system in Oscar's absence for a school-related absence
Later, Carla comes on the show and accuses Oscar of getting his MBA to leave Mike high and dry. Oscar denies this.

In April FFXU calls out that asking listeners to bookmark the TMOS Amazon link is in violation of Amazon rules, TMOS quickly amends their ads to comply.

Week of 11/24: In an even more painful, lengthy prepared bit, Mike delivers the disaster known as the 4 minute ISIS limerick in the wake of a terrorist attack in Paris. Undettered, Islamic radicals go on to attack San Bernadino
weeks later.

Week of 4/4: Mike discovers Salad Fingers, a cartoon that was a pop phenomenon from 2004-06 but hasn't been relevant in years. This gets beaten into the ground over the next few weeks, and still occasionally to this day.

Week of 5/9: Mike wants to reserve a table for an expensive restaurant for his daughter's upcoming high school graduation in the following month, but is bummed out that it is already all booked. I'm SHOCKED that TMOS events don't make money. I thought in their last Reno show they claimed 600 people attended (despite the fact photos indicated "dozens" at best). Seems to me someone with the business acumen to be attending B-School would have figured a way to turn a profit (even with Mike consuming the bulk of proceeds).

He can't be bothered to listen to any of the shows on his own damn network, including TMOS when he's off, so he sure as hell doesn't care about this place. Yeah, he's been here some, or Spewak cut and pasted some posts and shared them with him in the past), but that's not the point, is it? We post and read here to share the funny about how he's fallen and at what a mess he's made of his personal and professional lives. Humor, plain and simple. It makes me giggle like Michael Jackson.

That's next semester.

I spend some time here each week -- it's a diversion. But not like Mike's diversion of show funds for snowblowers, etc.

Mike thinks about us as much as Lorne Michael thinks about Mike O'Meara. We're free to bitch about former radio personalities in the same manner Mike bitches about SNL. Not a hard concept to grasp.

Mike has spoken at length about FFXU on his show. Former insiders from the show have shared on this thread how much Mike obsesses about this thread behind the scenes. Mike reads FFXU. He's too paranoid not to.
