As for what you posted, I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not. Who gives a fuck. Besides you, that is.

Who really cares if a bunch of fags with no life come on here and bust Mike's balls? These people have no life whatsoever and clearly have some kind of bug up there ass over Mike's success. You gotta be a complete dicknose and asshat to flame him on a daily basis. Grow up.

Which success would that be? The failed bar? The failed radio show? The failed podcast? The multiple failed marriages?

Yeah, so?

We aren't the ones losing homes to the bank in order to pursue our dream of a fake radio show. Grow up, indeed.

I think Oscar added alot to the podcasts but they've really been going down hill lately. They've strayed too much from the stuff Mike is good at and have switched people around too much. They really need to bring back folks like Bake McBride, ones who helped behind the scenes to keep bits moving and stay funny. It almost seems like a lost cause anymore though.

Sandler is worth hundreds of millions. Mike is worth hundreds (if he is lucky). I'm sure Sandler doesn't lose any sleep worrying what people on this forum think. Unlike some failed podcasters.

To make a true comparison between Sandler and O'Meara, Sandler would have ridden to success on David Spade's coattails. So, since that didn't happen, it is hard to compare the two.

Nice move taking a little vacation during his honeymoon period at the new gig…

I do give him credit though, he has developed a plan that should keep management in the dark. He asked Kirk to punch his timecard in and out for him. Shamrock will play a fart sound at least twice every 5 minutes. They will need to find another bloated windbag to hog every second of airtime, maybe one of the janitors has some free time to fill that spot. It will be almost like he never left!

I watched one of the videos on Mike's website of them in action (if you can call doing the podcast "action.")

I noticed how uncomfortable Robb looked sitting on one of Mike's leather chairs. He kept shifting around. It's got to be tough being so overweight that you can't get comfortable even when you're sitting down.

That sounds like O’Meara’s style. Get a free trip (even if it’s to IA), complete with sycophants buying him free booze. Then when he gets back, drop the bomb!

Now get out of my house, I need to rest up for tomorrow morning’s show!

Looks like Mikey is poised to “pull an O’Meara”.

I don't know. Even Mike may be hesitant to get rid of his fall-back this early on in his time back on real radio, even if it makes no money. If he's actually losing money on it (very possible), that's another story, depending on how much it's bleeding him.

The only reason for KCJJ contact is the podcast. Why would anyone in their right fucking mind go to Iowa City if they didn't have to. Even if it was a junket.

Of course Mike probably fancies himself as a high powered executive going into high level negotiations here with a very lucrative contractual opportunity in the balance. Not sure there are any stripper clubs in the area or not but if so someone should warn them.

Hmmm. Maybe this is a "come to Jesus" moment for KCJJ. They have probably been clearing the program for free. Mike may be thinking he can get management to pay him...or else.

Mike may be on a panhandling mission…

That guy (Steve Soboroff-"Bridges") is a magnet for washed-up hack Deejays. His legendary reputation as a collector of used junk (both technology and people) from a bygone era precedes him. As an example, KCJJ broadcasts QAM, yes a QAM station in the year 2010. Not that there is anything wrong with having a hobby, but my point is that if O’Meara requested a few sheckles, I’m sure Steve would toss them his way. I hear he’s subsidizing Rob(b)’s rent these days.

I realize it's not as cutting edge as talking about his dog taking a shit or food for the umpteenth million time. It's classic "shock jock" radio. If you don't like it, listen to Kirk and Mike debate who is going to win America's Got Talent.

Rob(b)....er, I mean "Biff"...is just hoping Don will fail so his decision to stay on the sinking ship of the MOM podcast makes sense.

Also, Adama Carolla has 13,000 Facebook fans compared to MOM's 5,000...yet Carolla has 16 times the listeners....so it really doesn't mean shit in the end.

Adam doesn't even try to get people on Facebook or Twitter... Don crows about it and constantly twitters... all I'm saying is that the spike should have been greater... people in Sac probably had no idea he even twittered until he returned to radio...

And I ain't Robb... I think O'Meara has been a trainwreck of biblical proportions.

Hey, Mr. Brilliant, your idiocy is showing.

I was making a simple comment about Don's show. No need for you to throw yourself onto the train tracks to prove you're a fan boy.

And why does everyone think it's so clever to say that a poster is Mike or Robb if they don't agree?

Now, the fact, which you seem to have a hard time accepting...

--I did not mention Mike is my original post. I don't care about his career.

--Don has a new show. Don needs ratings to keep his new show. I was simply eyeing his Twitter followers for a spike once he went live again, This is not rocket science, although it might be for an unemployed fry cook like you.

Now put away your badge and plastic gun and stop playing message board cop. You might hurt yourself.

I am honestly appalled at the detestation you continue to express for this “Don Geronimo” character. It seems that Don is an honest, hard working radio veteran attempting to revitalize his once flourishing radio career, that was quite unsurreptitiously halted by personal tragedy. I'm sure Don has your meager Twitter following bested by one hundredfold at the least! If you don’t like his show, don’t listen, it’s as simple as that. How dare you sir, and good day!

25 percent is meaningless. He's added less than a thousand followers. That's the number that matters.

This, for a show that is being podcast and can be heard anywhere in the world.

Look, I'm not saying it translates into his true popularity, but it does show some indication.

MOM's podcast is back down to #30. Don's is #28. Big O and Dukes are at #3 without even trying.

Adam Carolla has the #1 podcast. CBS provides his bandwidth for free. And he makes virtually no money from the podcast itself (his money comes from live gigs at comedy clubs he promotes through the podcast). And all of the people who work on Carolla's podcast do it for free or for next to nothing (at least Teresa Strasser and the interns).

How MOM expects to pay the fucking entourage he has working on a podcast for 15,000 listeners (with probably 1,500 actually listening) is a lesson in futility.

Listening to the first two Big O and Dukes podcasts shows Oscar's true element as a great foil to the enigma that is Chad Dukes, NOT as a measly "fourth mic" on Mike's show, sitting there quipping in with the occassional comment, absorbing Mike's racism and weak-ass sense of humor.

In response to the twitter "bump" question,
I listen to him daily and I don't follow him on twitter. I check it now and then but I only follow a few select things at a time so I don't get loads coming to my phone. For me it's better to view from the laptop anyway.
And I'm sure I'm not the only one. People give too much credit to social networking when in reality I'd guess only about 10 percent or less actually have an active "twitter life."

I don't follow Twitter for anyone. Seems like it'd get annoying. Facebook updates are already too frequent with a lot of people (myself included, probably). I did used to occasionally check Don's, but that was just to see what was new with him. Now, it's all on the radio. What's the point?

Don's podcast numbers are not a great sign, either.

Believe it or not, I really like Don... just offering objective view on how he's doing.

Don's podcast numbers are probably hurt by the fact CBS employees,no matter which station they work at; cannot get the podcast out on a regular basis.

No podcast= No podcast listeners

I was on for only one week in June, yet the Arb PPM's have my show going from 0.8 to 4.5 for that one week. Awesome start, gang & I thank U!

In regards to the podcast numbers...

You can't see podcast numbers. The top lists are compiled with the frequency of new subscribers in mind. Hypothetically, an established podcast with a million subscribers and 100 new iTunes subscribers would be placed behind a brand new podcast with 200 fresh subscribers. It also doesn't count the portion of the audience that doesn't use iTunes.

15,000 is what MOM reports on his website.

• Over 1,500 feed subscribers per day
• Over 2,000 feed downloads per day
• Over 12,000 direct downloads per Podcast

And let's be honest. Many of these numbers are redundant and the vast majority of people who download the thing probably don't listen to it and haven't bothered stopping their subscriptions. I would guess that Mike has about 1,200 to 1,500 reliable daily listeners. That's pathetic.

My original comment was more in reference to DGS but I agree. One thing that Itunes does do a good job at doing is stopping the automatic downloads after a few days of non-listening for a podcast. It would be interesting to see how that affects the numbers. Is it dropped at that point and if you press the option to continue would that be a "new subscriber?"

Everyone should check out the podcast from Friday, the 23rd (the show was done in Iowa).

Mike had been ragging on the guys (especially Oscar, who tends to be late), to get to the airport early for the trip to Iowa.

Turns out, Mike was the one who was late, and almost missed the plane -- because he got drunk the night before.

Hope everyone listens to that show -- I'd love to hear your comments.

One thing I noticed,,,MOM's attitude to Oscar seems to have changed since the BOaD
podcast started,,,there seems to be some hostility there,,

Maybe MOM doesn't like the competition for Man-grate sales

But, much like Donnie G's show, I think a BOaD podcast helps the MOM podcast

You can now listen to all the shows/personalities that were on JFK

Hi, I'm Rob(b). I think that knowing things about television from the 1950's and 1960's makes me intelligent. I could have gotten into UVA, Va Tech, or William and Mary. But I didn't, I went to VCU. Why? Hmm, that is an excellent question. Ask me next time you see me. I tried for years to break into radio, but was hampered by being painfully unfunny. Now I'm clinging by my fingernails by braying like a jackass at everything another painfully unfunny man says. Did I mention that I could have gotten into UVA, Va Tech, or William and Mary? Because really, i could have. I said that on the air.

Funny. Oscar is late to the podcast because he is juggling four or five gigs. Mike is almost late to a flight because of an all-night bender. MOM = Jackass.

Mike is probably terrified that Big O & Dukes will be successful "monetizing" their podcast, unlike Mike. Mike has failed again. Big O & Dukes succeeding would only confirm this.

It's a thread about a minor celebrity that has 300,000+ views and 7,000+ posts,,

I'm sitting here listening to the Kirk & Mike show here on the West coast thru the magic of Al Gore's Internet. Poor Kirk, the guy can't get a word in with Mike rambling on about his shitty flight from Iowa back to the East coast. Mike is such a blowhard.

And BTW... Isn't the Kirk and Mike Show supposed to start at 5am Eastern everyday? Today's show didn't start until half past the hour. Sounds like Mike is the late one. Citadel needs to sit him down and tell him to be there on time... Or dock him some pay if he keeps showing up late. What a turd.

I'm going to bed.

So within three weeks of returning to the air, Mike has pissed off Shamrock, taken half a week off and is now showing up late. If the PPMs do not show drastic improvement, expect Mike to be gone by October.

I am so thrilled that BOAD is back on doing podcasts! Thanks Oscar and Chad. As for TMOS, I won't be listening any more. Why should I? I can get more laughs in one hour a week from BOAD than a week of TMOS. Mike, your show seems doomed as your listeners are dropping you for Don and now BOAD. I guess you need to learn to be funny again if you're going to make it. Your radio gig seems to be a flop too - as Kirk and you have no chemistry and while you should take a back seat to Kirk - I know that is hard for you to do.

No shit. Look at that picture. What occupations do you see a guy like that in? Tow truck driver would be a good one, though I doubt he could handle the physical work of securing a vehicle to the truck. Comic book store guy? Subway shop sandwich artist? I can't see any radio station hiring someone that looks like that in a position of any consequence.

Rob(b) has to be the sorriest individual among the whole crew...

Mike: He's a Class-A fuckup, but at least he has a job. (for now)
Oscar: Uses the show to keep his name "out there", he'll walk away at the drop of a hat.
Buzz: Between his VO gigs and his social security check, he'll be ok.
The rest: They'll be back to waiting tables soon.

Rob(b): This fucker has no clue. In his desperate attempt to attain his dream job as a Deejay he tramples over his family as he claws his way to the bottom. It looks as though history may repeat itself, Rob(b) is an even bigger looser than his father, way to lower the bar! I don't hate the guy for wanting to be in broadcasting, but he needs to take a good look at himself (and his family) and do some growing up.
