My tolerance of Oscar is good but finite. Hearing him talk about how his family dropped 80 grand on his sister's wedding and how his brother dropped 150,000 plus on BOAD is sobering. That's where he comes from.

To be fair listening to Dukes bitch about how anyone would hold a wedding at all and commit the sin of inviting their friends to attend was also annoying.

I had been wondering if it wouldn't have made more sense to do an early withdrawal of retirement funds, even with a penalty, than borrowing against the cash value of a whole life policy(I only have term, and don't know the cost of borrowing in a whole life plan). Now I need wonder no longer, the LFF is tapping both sources. This is majorly stupid financial management, even for LFF.

You would think that CFO Carla would put the kibosh on this, as it is ruining or at least substantially undermining her financial future. Unless maybe she has a two-year exit strategy, and doesn't mind paying for child care so as to be able to go drinky-drink at all hours of the day, even if it requires such egregious financial maneuvers.

Actually you can. You can borrow from it and pay back the principle over a set time. only problem is that you do not pay yourself back with the compounded interest that the money would have earned if it would have stayed in the fund, so you wind up losing money in the long run. You can also withdraw a portion but then you're going to be hit with early withdrawal penalties and pay full bore federal income tax. But borrowing from yourself and your 401K is an option.
