WTL sure did call it, didn't he? He said the show sucked and not only did WJFK pull the plug, so did The Edge. No affiliates picked up the Failcast. 7 years later, none of these idiots are employable by radio stations and virtually nobody listens to the podcast. Mike doesn't even show up half the time and appears to have drained his retirement to subsidize this failing venture. WTL FTW!!!

Eight months after the beginning of "Steaming Pile of Shit Entertainment", Fuckwaddle joined Kirk McEwen in his doomed show. The Edge cancelled the Kirk and Mike Show when they flipped formats. It was actually listenable online because you didn't have to wade through all the classic rock and Fuckwaddle wasn't the marquee name. The Edge never ran the Mary O'Meara Memorial Radio Abortion. One affiliate in Vermont did pick it up but dropped it after they got a chance to actually listen to it and realized that it wasn't just one off day, that's way it actually was.

So, you, FTL.

So what was the "big announcement" "Oscar" was "teasing" on today's "show" going to be, I wonder?

You said he was "teasing" it on today's "show" which implies he was "teasing" it on the show, as opposed to "teasing" it on a billboard or "teasing" it with a post here. And you posted it at 10 p.m. when you would have had time to listen to the show. Totes confusing. Except it's pretty clear that that's not El Spic.

I can see how you might have stumbled over your own quote marks and misrepresented his post. AU grad?

Reminds me of that Star Trek episode "The Trouble With Tater Tots".

And God said, Let there be tots: and there were tots. And God saw the tots, that [it was] good: and God divided the tots from the fruitcake. And God called the tots Daily Fare, and the fruitcake he called Seasonal. And the whiskey and the ice were the first drink, and yea verily, the last. And a deep swoon was upon the Spewak.

"My Mother", by Michael O'Meara. You gave me life / You gave me milk / You gave me courage / Your name was Angela / The angel from Heaven / But you were also an angel of God / And He needed you, too / Selfishly I tried to keep you here / While the cancer ate away your organs, / Like an unstoppable rebel force / But I couldn't save you / and I shall see your face nevermore, nevermore, nevermore / Until we meet in heaven.

From the nursing home newsletter:

She has it all, yes she does
She knows how to please…in every detail
She can do more than you’d ever imagine
And do it with style, she does it with me
Oh yes she does
I know that you thought that you knew her
And maybe you did, but you don’t
She’ll only reveal what she wants you to see
And then show it all, and when she does she satisfies me
If you only knew, just what she could do
You’d want her too
If you only knew

I think we file this under "strippers don't sweat the details."

I concur on Fuckwaddle's absences in that I'd like to see El Spic make more of them; he got shot down pretty quick with "the week my mother died" even though that was the previous week and this was about the week of the funeral. I say he gets a pass on those two, but what about all the other times this year?

I still say shows without Fuckwaddle are much better.

right, even if you give him a pass on his Mother's death and funeral weeks, there are still 9 unexcused absences and that's the point...he only has a valid excuse for 2 weeks, what about the other 9? Even Beth Hoyle would have a hard time making an excuse stick for 9 weeks

For him, two miles in Florida counts as exercise. Five miles in Boston must be like the Olympics. He knows his brother in law and his sister, so why didn't he just say, "I don't have good walking shoes, I'm just going to take a cab."?

Mike was talking about his childhood buddy who came to the funeral. As to their respective marital statuses, Mike called him a one-time loser, and referred to himself as a three-time loser. Unless there's another secret ex-wife out there, sorry, Carla! With your drooling over Bobby C and the Boston boys you ogled while you were out running, it seems Mike's already listing you as one of his marital losses.

Good catch on three-time loser. Pulling out is not birth control. Sometimes you have to ask "What is WRONG with this girl that she's interested in ME?" but Johnny Self-Aware apparently never had that conversation with himself.

Also, talking about how the childhood friend still looked the same he tried to turn his blubber into a positive: "I was blubbery then, I'm blubbery now, so I too look the same as I did in high school."

Jeez, my obsessions are killing me!

My question is "why didn't he take walking shoes if it's NO surprise that he will be walking A LOT?"

Another way barrel-chested men are discriminated against -- how can Mike be expected to fit his oversize clothes AND an extra pair of shoes into a carry-on?
No checked bags -- his travel budget was blown on him paying for extra legroom -- thanks for nothing, Kappy.

Just now up to last Tuesday's show, but it's clear that after his mom died it's finally hitting him that for years he was a selfish narcissist who acted like a swinging dick and blew off his family. I guess when you're so cool that you drive around D.C. in your Jeep shirtless with just a vest, you simply can't be bothered with family. It's been more difficult than usual to listen to him the past few episodes. He's completely disengaged from the conversation to read Facebook, he's stopped in the middle of the show to count his monthly insurance costs and he's played the mother card way too many times. Jeez man, take a couple of weeks off, it's not like you'd be missed.

I'd like to see him take the rest of his career off, maybe with occasional guest appearances, maybe once a week, the inverse of the current situation. It couldn't be any worse than when Patton Oswalt guests. They both drag the show down just by showing up.

Here's my Greaseman theory: Greaseman never worked with Fatt Rob so doesn't treat him like he deserves; instead he is civil and non-committal (yes, those would be good DJ names), but he knows enough to know he doesn't want to get involved with the Fuckwaddle brand. Greaseman is actually smart.

Notice that Cerphe goes on the Tony Perkins Show. Has anyone from the daily abortion reached out to him? Especially with the upcoming WHFS movie and all, but you can't expect super-busy podcasters to be informed, not in a world full of tater tots.

Does the current crop of interns even know who Grease is, or do they think he is some guy who worked with Bing Crosby and Jack Cassidy?

The college interns must feel like they're doing community service at a nursing home. The time they spend with TMOS carries a high opportunity cost, since they could be interning elsewhere.

The other interns are on a fast track to becoming the next Spewak. They just need to find a hard working partner to marry.

That's a good point about the interns. Most companies hire interns or they make key industry contacts and even get to work concerts and other events. Can you imagine trying to explain TMOS to your dorm mates?

That's got to be embarrassing. ..

Didn't LFF tell Fatt Rob to book Cerphe at least once? I wouldn't return his calls either.

The show w/o him was good because of ROFO's story line. Rob and O did not race through it with lists, etc. When Mike is gone it is usually like listening to a podcast with the Iphone on 1-1/2 speed. ROFO is much more entertaining then Mike's bitching.

So Robb admits that he's now the fattest he's ever been? That's saying something, given how ginormous he was on that Iowa trip. I think if I was an Uncle Fester-looking fat fuck who takes a pharmacy full of drugs daily to keep my heart from exploding and who sleeps with a machine that keeps my fat from suffocating me to death, I would have to get serious about losing weight.

The only thing that motivates him to lose weight is the prospect of a TMOS stage show. So, before this fall, he WILL fit back into his tux.

Is there any doubt Robb will eventually hit 800 lbs? Will having to use a walker and not being to get through doorways be enough to convince Robb to lose some weight? How are the shocks on the driver side of his car? Bet they are pretty toasted.

In yesterday's show?

I am shocked Robb bothers to leave the house for the show -- it's a perfect excuse for him to be a shutin.

If I were stupid/desperate enough to be one of their female interns, every time I entered the studio, I would state, "My roommates know where I am." Just in case.

For all they know, Cake and Cookies is recorded while Katie is handcuffed to a radiator in Robb's "basement studio."

When Mike O'Meara is lecturing you on losing weight, it might be time to downgrade your health assessment to a solid 7.5 or even lower.

OTOH, it could just be Mike trying to spread the misery he is undergoing.

They leaned on Robb a year and a half ago, maybe more, to get Grease on the show. When Pony and his Mom were always excited about the Greaseman Mike tried to show he still had some pull. Grease told Robb through email that he was living on a boat and had no interest in "radio." Guess they never made it clear TMOS is a podcast.

Are they trying to get him now?

Robb acts like they have a relationship with Cerphe but I think that was Buzz. That they had an herb dealer in common.

At 13:30 Fatt Rob feels the compulsion to talk and tells about how his sister-in-law knows sky waitresses who, given that they can't drink X hours before a flight, and knowing their flight time can "do the math" and know what time they need to stop drinking, like it's an impressive feat. That's called first grade, Weight Tot.
