Ask and ye shall receive...

One thing I learned from this exercise is that Mike is significantly fatter than Curly was.

The biggest difference is that Curly was funny.

I wonder, if given the choice would Carla rather bang Curly(circa the 1940's) or Mike(of today)? I'm guessing that if she bases her decision on money and fame, Curly would win hands down.

Yes, that's O'Meara's face on Curly's head again.

So is Don Moe or Larry? Seems like Don is more of a Moe. Rob(b) could be the less-talented Larry. Don's success and Rob(b)'s general incompetence would explain the vice on Mike...just not on his head (the big one, anyway).

That's why people need to start copywriting their work. Then, send legal letters to MOM and get the pics pulled.

Sure I just shit all over this copyrighted image of the "stooges", but at least I'm not using this site in an attempt to MAKE MONEY!

Every fucking day, Mike and company use copyrighted works on their failcast. They have broken just about every rule in the book including playing original artist recordings in their entirety. They even have the balls to replay "Onion Radio News Podcasts" during their "audio vault" segment, and act as though they produced it!

None of their exploitations of copyrighted works have even come close to fair use territory, it's blatant copyright infringement.

One day the O'Meara gang will receive a C&D, once that happens it will be like the breaking of a dam, a stream of legal letters will flow toward Mike's house from various agencies. It won't be a huge deal, they will just have to not serve up any content that has been flagged by the artist as a violation.

That is unless they piss off the wrong person. I remember a company that I used to work for had to pay the estate of Irving Berlin a little over 300k for a little copyright violation. Those guys don't fuck around!

Latest PPM Ratings (the only ones that matter)

Don Geronimo - #4
Mike O'Meara - #21
Big O and Dukes (Not on the air)

True. It's not like being #67 is going to result in more advertisers or higher ad rates than #182. The truth is even the top-rated podcasts have had a difficult time trying to figure out how to "monetize" themselves. It seems that even Carolla has cut back his expenses and has kind of cooled on the idea of the podcast being his full-time gig. The economics just aren't there yet (if ever) to be a highly profitable venture.

Big O and Dukes -- 6" and growing

Don Geronimo -- 5" and holding

Mike O'Meara -- 2" and shrinking

This podcast "ratings" shit. Trumpet TMOMS at #68. There's a success for ya. Don G's show is a re-broadcast of a radio show that has a top five PPM audience. It is cream for CBS radio. But keep the not so subtle jabs comin.

Rob(b) can't knock it off. It's all he's got.

I mean, the money has been so good with the podcast that MIKE HAD TO GET A FULL-TIME JOB! And he's talking about losing his house. OBVIOUSLY the podcast is QUITE lucrative when the person it is named after has to work for "janitor wages" to keep himself afloat financially.

You bet Honeydipshit. We should expect Mike to get on the air tomorrow (what little actual air he's on) and announce that all his financial woes are over and also announce that he's doing so well the MOMS will start giving away T-shirts instead of selling them. Because smart fans like you will gladly turn yourselves into human billboards for the show. Especially after buying the shirt you are wearing now to advertise his show.....for free. That is like a prostitute paying her client to fuck. Not smart Honeyfuckstick............Not smart.

Nice Conway picture...

We should like totally have a MOM Photoshop contest!

When I say Photoshop, well that actually means anything, MS paint or whatever. I don't think technical skill matters much here, just bring the funny.

When I say contest, well there really isn't a grand prize just a forum to share your "art". So this is really a win-win situation for all involved. Of course everyone is invited to participate!

When I say MOM, I mean anyone related to the failcast.

When I say Mike O'Meara, you say Douche Bag!

#67?

You can't really rely on those podcast numbers. Mike's show is heavily pirated on the internet and there's so much illegal filesharing and O' Meara bit torrents, it's impossible to know the true number of listeners. He was just talking about this a few weeks ago, the show has a substantial underground following on the internet. Once the podcasts were released unprotected, his show started to spread like wildfire.

Funny how that hasn't happened to the more popular podcasts.

I've been wondering. Does the fact that their morning show ends at 9 when every other morning show goes on till 10 have anything to do with their lower ratings? Not that they would be number 1 suddenly if they went later, I'm just curious because I don't get to work until 9, it takes about a half hour or so to get there, and if all I get to hear is 10 minutes of chat and then commercials followed by "And we'll see you tomorrow" I'm just not even going to bother turning to that station.

Then, this is just me and I guess most people don't start work at 9 anymore so I don't know.

Right... Because there is such a big demand for the bonus shows it has created a burgeoning black market for the hot, hot, hot commodity. Your fucking stupid post is funnier than anything MOM has shit out of his mouth pretty much ever.

LOL. This is untrue for at least two reasons:

1. No criminal mind thinks in terms that small and insignificant. A 12 year old stealing a Hershey's bar from 7-11 is more "big time".

2. Mike doesn't have the money to sue anyone.

It makes one wonder if this isn't a set up for the big excuse. Like, the MOMS could have survived if not for the 10s of thousands of pirated bonus shows. It's a good thing Mike sicked his high powered crack legal staff on this problem right now so as to Nip it. Nip it in the Bud!.......What a fucking Barney.

Yeah well you should check with someone like Kirk McEwen before you act like you know what you're talking about, buddy. Oscar Santana is fit to be tied over this shit, and I sure pity the dumb motherfucker if Mike ever gets his hands on him. They're messing with the wrong people and are gonna get burned if they keep playing with fire. Word got out that Oscar Santana went ballistic throwing shit all over the studio before Mike had to physically restrain him to get him to calm down, they even had to call Buzz in. They're seriously fucking with the wrong people and I'd love to be there when Mike gets ahold of whoever was doing it.

If Oscar is fit to be tied and throwing shit, it's probably the frustration from doing something for nothing on a piece of shit failcast finally boiling over.

What would make Mike really mad is if he found out that one of the more prolific posters on this forum is someone that he currently has a business relationship with.

Well, you know he's had former employees from his failed bar and restaurant on here, so that wouldn't surprise me. Hell, Carla probably vents her frustration on here from time to time.

As for Oscar throwing a fit, he was probably just mad that Mike came home early that day, if you know what I mean.

They had to "call Buzz in" - oh my, this is serious - not!!

Look, you ain't talkin' about the "A Team" here. Oscar might be trouble in a dust up, but MOM, Rob(b) and Buzz are a danger to you only if MOM and Rob(b) sit on you, or Buzz tries to bang you.

Trying to paint the MOM crew as bad asses is laughable, actually it's more amusing than any of the audio brown stuff that squirts from the podcast.

no ain't funny. the shit is about to hit the fan for some loserass who doesn't know better then to step over a line. just ask the people who were hanging out at o meara's bar in manassass the night he got wind that one of the bartenders was stealing booze off the top shelf. mike walked right up to him in front of everybody, grabbed that punkass by the scruff of his neck and kicked him square in the ass as he threw him right out the front door. then he turned right around and warned everybody in there that if he ever caught anybody stealing ever again he would nail their ass to the wall. it got pretty harsh. stealing shit does not get taken lightly by anybody over at mike's crew. search for the video clip over at radiogods forum if you don't believe me.

Stop!! Please STOP with the scary stories!!

I'm going to get new dead bolts installed on my doors!!

The O'Meara Posse is on the loose!! Hide the women and children!!

But, um, liquor has value so I can see MOM getting all hot and bothered about that, but RAW shows have to real value, so isn't "stealing" taking something of value?

I'm confused.

Yeah it is. It's not like Mike couldn't have been sued for assault for laying his hands on a patron. Plus as you mentioned earlier, they steal copyrighted material all of the time. What's the difference?

We all know Mike's an angry guy, but by now his doctor has had to have told him to calm down or he's going to have a coronary.

Hey Tard-Ball, Comedy is completely subjective. For example, you saying "serious" instead of "seriously" is very funny to me. But for someone who thinks it's impolite to laugh at an imbecile, it's probably not funny. So the fact that you enjoy Geronimo, and many of us don't, just doesn't really mean anything. Serious.

It was a great place to hang out. Cheap drinks, cool people, and good food. Sometimes Mike himself would even come out and chill, crack a few jokes and do some impressions to make people feel right at home. Running a restaraunt and being in radio was just too much of a strain on him and his family, it's a shame he had to close the place. I know for damn sure it was a tough decision for Mike to make. It was always his dream and he poured his heart and soul into that place.

It wasn't a decision on his part at all at all. He was forced to shut down as the place was a money pit. Do you think that if the place had actually been making money he would have "decided" to shut it down?

He was forced to shut down as the place was not making money and did not follow basic ABC rules that every other bar can handle so he was racking up major ABC fines on top of the losses.

+1

Mike fell into the same trap a lot of idiots do. Just because you like hanging out in a bar doesn't mean you should OWN a bar. Owning a bar involves actual WORK.

No it wasn't. He wanted to avoid ABC fines. The fines were waived when he told the ABC board he was shutting the bar down.

So much so that he didn't bother finding out how much things cost before he opened it. So much so that he didn't bother learning what the ABC laws were. So much so that he allegedly fucked over his employees on their last paychecks when he decided to close.

that ABC stuff was bullshit, no one "forced" him to close. ABC were just a bunch of crooked govt thugs trying to shake down a hard working entrepreneur like mike. he wasn't afraid either, he stood up for what was right, even if it meant legal, or even criminal, punishment. no one forced him to shut down. it's tough to make money with a new restaurant, I'll agree with you on that. especially when people are constantly stealing shit and reneging on deals. it's pretty sad when honest people get fucked over.

Okay, Mike. Whatever you say.

O'Meara's Hit With $26K In Booze Fines - 5/12 - From the Potomac News website InsideNova.com: O'Meara's restaurant racked up $26,000 in Virginia Department Of Alcohol And Beverage Control fines and administrative costs between September 2006 and April 2007. The ABC charged the Manassas restaurant with 26 violations. The documents didn't specify if the fines were paid. The restaurant, which is owned by WJFK-FM afternoon personality Mike O'Meara, closed in April. Seven of the violations were for allowing the consumption of alcoholic beverages by a person the licensee knew or had reason to believe was intoxicated. The restaurant was charged with seven counts of making gifts of alcoholic beverages in violation of Virginia law and eight counts of holding happy hour between 9 PM and 2 AM. On his Monday show, O'Meara said he is in the process of selling the restaurant.....

Yeah, the ABC agents have nothing better to do than shake down one bar owner. Do you know how many bars/restaurants were in business before Mike took over and how many still operate after Mike's closure? TONS. Funny, I don't see the City Tavern or Okra's closing down and they've been around forever. I guess that the ABC guys just liked to pick on poor old MOM.

EDIT: 26 violations in 7 months? HOLY SHIT.

From the actual ABC report...

ALLOWED AN INTOXICATED PERSON TO LOITER/CONDUCTED HAPPY HOUR CONTRARY TO REGS./AGENTS & OTHER LAW OFFICERS WERE PREVENTED FROM REASONABLE OBSERVATION OF THE ROOM/LICENSEE MADE GIFTS OF AB TO A PERSON

Seriously? Mike and company were pushing their luck with that bolded one. Preventing agents/law enforcement from doing their job??

Pretty fucked up, if you ask me.

Truth is, speaking as someone who knows someone who knows someone who is one of the ABC Guys, those guys were pissed at MOM because the day before they shut down the bar, they had to listen to him berate BA. BA was sleeping with with one of the ABC Guys, and he defended her honor, so to speak.

These same guys, I heard, were also mad at Mike because he kept wasting their time by playing Power of Five on the air. It was a bad situation, and they were out to get Mike from the get-go.

It's pretty easy not to get ABC violations:

-Don't serve underage kids or after 2AM.
-Don't serve really fucked up people again and again.
-Don't do drink specials after 9PM.
-Don't be stupid and give out free drinks to people you don't know or in a blatant way.
-Don't let girls show their tits if you don't know everyone at the bar.
-Submit your yearly ABC report.
-Sell some food once in a while so you meet your food-to-alcohol percentage.

RGF, what the fuck are you smoking?

In addition to the evidence cited by WTL above, O'Meara said repeatedly on the Don and Mike show that the restaurant was a pain in the ass. In one segment he said he didn't want to answer his phone any more because the call would be related to something that was broken and needed fixing in the restaurant or some other restaurant related disaster. So much for MOM's heart and soul commitment to the hospitality industry.

If being a restarantuer was MOM's passion, why didn't he go big time complete the restaurant purchase in DC?

O'Meara's sad Va. ABC record indicates the MOM was barely involved with the day to day operations, and really wanted to the Big Man in Manassass and hang out in "O'Meara's" VIP area.

No fucking kidding people - MOM had a VIP area in that dump.

Good riddance.

This is really just too much, I can't let it pass.

Yeah, radio "strained" O'Meara. It's god damned hard showing up to work 15 minutes before air time, hung over and stinking of booze, that I'll grant you.

I think wifey #2 and the kids were long, long gone before O'Meara's closed, so the "strained" family unit was a couple of dogs, Carlita, and whomever she was banging when hard workin' MOM was: 1. taking up space at JFK; 2. holding court with his buddies at O'Meara's or some golf course, or 3. passed out drunk.

probably a case of ABC fines, Lazy Fat Fucks bar located in same strip mall as some city government offices now gone, and his employees and partners most likely taking lots of moolah and drinks out the door while the golden boy had his head up his arse NORM

Perhaps LFF could give the gals who use to work at Hooters of Fairfax some air time. rhianna? trixie? LaRoshonda? Might be wrong about that last name.

I've tried about 3 times in last month to download a show from the Mike O'Meara website, in future referred to as LFF,thing is they made some changes a few months back and trying to download from the official LFF site can be ponderously long, I assume, and you know what that means, that the collective brain dead at LFF productions Inc. are trying to drive folks to itunes for the download and drive up the many bazillions who already feast on LFF show.
Thing is for me I already have many numerous programs I find far more interesting and/or funny that I already download from itunes so I got no space for the 4 gazillion downloaded LFF failcast.
what to do oh deer?

If there shirley is some idiot who's filesharing the bonus hours of the LFF you deserve to be hung by a cross at the entrance to Manassas on Centreville Road. There is nothing to the fucking bonus hours thats any better than the normal LFF failcast than they say "fuck"
Frankly, participants in the LFF posting its a fucking waste of time to listen unless your a effing masochistic completist

Whats wrong with the folks at Don Beyer Vulva, they actually gave the LFF a vulva to drive ,golden boy strikes agin?

what next? he ends the year by actually saying something funny on the failcast?

Jesus, not a lot has happened in my brief hianus...

There were Hooters girls in Mike's living room, and everyone got shitfaced, sounds like great internet radio! Of course, does internet radio actually make a sound if no one downloads it?

Well to be honest, someone heard it, there are a whopping 12 comments on the O'Meara web site, numbers don't lie...

Speaking of lies, I would love to be cold called by Marc (ad salesman) and listen to his spiel. He must be a rather convincing bullshit artist to dupe the handful of "advertisers" O'Meara has. Well actually if he was really a great BS artist, he'd have a real job, so I'll chalk that up to business owners with more available cash than brains.

Any local business owners ever get the O'Meara pitch?

I never got nudity/hot chicks on the radio. What's the point? Strip Trivia was somewhat entertaining but would go on too long, for my taste anyways. But whenever they had a stripper or something I never was interested. Hooters girls? I mean, you basically just had a show with a bunch of waitresses is all. There are plenty of hot waitresses out there that are just as interesting as Hooters girls but don't skank it up for their job. It's not as thought Hooters is some kind of wild and crazy place. It's freaking Hooters. It's a gimmick bar. You can probably bring your damn kids there.

Then again I haven't been to Hooters in a long, long time. I remember it being an overpriced bar with decent but not great food, sports on TV, and somewhat attractive waitresses dressed skimpily.

Anyway, does anyone go to Hooters to "talk" to the girls? I thought it was to look at their tits and asses...which you can't do on a failcast.

Checkout thesunnews.com. Hooters is in the process of being sold to one of two private equity firms based in New York by the estate of the late owner.

Plans call for Hooters to branch out to fast food establishments (wings?).

This could work out great for MOM and crew - another location for appearances and live gigs in a couple of years: See MOM and his wacky crew at the Hooters Instant Wings in the food court at Potomac Mills!!

Tomorrow will be the one year anniversary of the failcast. I wonder what kind of craptacular things Mike has in store to mark the occasion?

Last Friday, on the drinking show, Chad Dukes paid a visit. Mike mentioned Don's appearance on Chad's show, and then made an interesting comment..."the two people who ruined my career"...... or words to that effect.

He has often called Chad, "the guy who took my job," but how in the world was Don responsible for ruining Mike's career? Or Chad for that matter? It's not like it was Chad's decision to dump Mike from WJFK.

First, Don MADE Mike's career. If it hadn't been for Don, Mike would have had Ballard's career. The ungrateful asshole should be thanking Don for the 20+ years Don carried his fat ass. Second, even before Freda died, Don was going to end the show by 2009. Everybody knew this, including Mike. Don had purchased a place down in Florida. Why Mike decided to take on a huge mortgage and throw money at a failed bar when it was apparent the gravy train was about to end is anyone's guess. Finally, would you trust Rob(b) on a Segway? In a Mall full if people??

Just imagine if he had to jumpstart it in a crowded mall.
